Just for today, I am going to relish the fact that I was in a job interview for 15 minutes and was offered a job and that no one at my job will know until I put my notice in next week. As of April 1st, I'll never have to suffer through another day here again.

    Just for today:

I will make a healthy lunch for tomorrow for me and mine.
(So I'm not rummaging thru the fridge in the morning trying to put together something that will pass for a balanced lunch for my daughter, and trowing it in her backpack with 2 seconds to spare before getting her on the bus)

I love this thread - would love to join it. I have been in the 190s since October. I have spent too much time and energy with negative self-talk. It hasn't been effective in moving the scale in the direction of the 180s. For March my goal is to get from 193.6 to 189. Just for today I will:
    - do a 30 minute workout DVD (done)
    - get more protein in
    - not beat myself up because I have been unable to get out of the 190s since October
    - spend time enjoying my grandson
    - no snacking after dinner unless I am truly "hungry"

I can relate. I've crept into the 190's & need to gradually get back down to 150. I try to keep my focus on smaller goals too. Best wishes!

Track what I eat. If I lie- I lie to myself.

I love this. Sometimes, I forget, but too often I lie to myself.

My days start at 4 on the move, so I think I'll post just before bed.

    Wins today:
    - I got up early, went to the gym and put in an honest effort.

    - I logged all my food today, even the bottle of beer I had chatting with my wife before dinner. It was a little dicey for a while because I thought I lost the ball at dinner, but decided to just own the process and log it.

    - I erred on the side of caution and only got the lamb sharwama sandwich for lunch which helped my macros balance almost perfectly.

Through these wins, I earned one day of feeling good about my choices.

    Hope tomorrow is the same.

Haven't posted on this thread in several days because I have been very sick--so sick that my doctor asked me to voluntarily quarantine myself to my home. I have continued to log, but haven't exercised all week. I did get out of bed today and I will post some goals tomorrow, March 6.

This is a continuation of a thread I started a thread late October, and another one in January and February, to try to stay on track, "JUST FOR A DAY".

We have had over 500 replies each month, so I am going to restart this each month. This has helped me tremendously, to start each day new. It has kept me going, and to keep on trying, one day at a time. And, I've met some wonderful friends along the way! Reading others goals for just one day has given me so much inspiration and goals to set for myself.

If I can do this for JUST ONE DAY, well, maybe that one day will lead to another day, an entire week, an entire month, and this will help me to develop better habits for my life, taking this one day at a time.

So each day I am going to post what I would like to accomplish. While I post my "Just for today" list, I am also going to post how I did the day before, so I am accountable to you guys as well.

Would anyone like to join me!! I am always so encouraged reading others goals, and together, we can all reach our goals for 2015 and beyond. I hope to keep doing this, starting a new thread each month.

March is a new month, a fresh start!

To bookmark this new thread, just click on the little yellow star. That book marks it, so you can find it easy. When you go to post again, to the right at the top of your page is a bell, a star, and a little flower. Click on the star, and it will show your book marked threads.

    Anyone can join!
