My February was a "maintain" month - hadn't planned it that way but that's how it turned out. Into day 5 of March, and though I am eating my planned meals during the day, the candy jar keeps calling my name and my activity has been low, so..

    Just for today:
    1) I will do my exercise activity as planned
    2) I will NOT eat any candy or sweets

Made it yesterday and will do the same "just for today"

    1. Take a walk. While I need to relax, I do not need to spend the whole day sitting still. :D
    2. Log everything I eat and no snacking after 10pm. :) Logging is still a work in progress but I didn't snack at night. :)
    3. Keep in touch with my parents. Dad is in the hospital for observation after a minor fall. They do not want to worry me, but they only live an hour away, so if they need help, I can be there relatively quickly. :D Dad is out of ICU and OK, but confused because of the pain medications he is on.

Happy Friday Everyone! Just for today I will

    1. Take a walk before work. This is the only way I will be sure to get it in.
    2. Log Everything I eat and no snacking after 10pm.
    3. Call Dad before I go into work. Now that he is out of ICU I can get through to him at the hospital.

Have a Wonderful Day. And if you have been ill recently, I hope you are feeling better soon.

    Just for today 3/5

    1. log what I eat (even if it's not the best!)
    2. do 1 hour of power yoga and some dance practice
    3. Be gentle and loving with myself. I've gained a few pounds this winter, but I'm barely over my goal range, my clothes still fit and I'm still 20+ pounds lighter than I was at this time last year. I can get rid of those couple of vanity pounds with no drama and no self-loathing.

So, I logged & I did my yoga and dancing. I wasn't always successful at being gentle with myself, but I vented at my husband, who gave me some perspective.

And this morning, I was back into my goal range. Thank you, ToM, for making me nuts the past few days. :-)

    Anyway, for today
    1) log
    2) get to my yoga class and do my dance practice. Feel the meditation
    3) It's Friday, so have a drink! But log the drink, even if it puts me a little over.

Haven't posted on this thread in several days because I have been very sick--so sick that my doctor asked me to voluntarily quarantine myself to my home. I have continued to log, but haven't exercised all week. I did get out of bed today and I will post some goals tomorrow, March 6.

So sorry to hear you have been sick. We have missed you:) I was wondering where you went to. I hope you are better soon ((((hugs))))

    3) I will count my blessings, not worry about the things I cannot control and breathe at work

    Just for today...
    Drink 72 oz water :)
Log 3 miles on the treadmill (even if they are slower than I'd like) :\
No junk food at work :)
LOG EVERYTHING - lies of omission on my log are only lies to myself!! :)

    Have a great day!

Only did 1.5 miles on the treadmill. I am a little bummed, but I felt as though my joints were feeling sore and tired, and I really don't want to get injured and be stuck on the couch. I have a habit of starting out strong and burning out. My body is not as young as it used to be, and I'm carrying around a bit more weight than I used to be when I was running more regularly. I just have to be gentle with myself. Slow and steady...

    Just for today:
Enjoy a rest day without feeling guilty
Take a nice, slow walk at lunch to enjoy the slightly warmer weather
Enjoy going out to dinner for my mom's birthday without being neurotic about it!

I've looked at the menu and have made my semi responsible choices ahead of time. I'm down 10 lbs as of today...60 to go! :D It's a marathon, not a sprint...

Seems like there is a dark cloud over us right now, and I can't see the light at the end. I have to work harder on looking at the positives, and hope we get to make the one-day trip to see our grandsons tomorrow.

    1. Stay positive. Things could always be worse.
    2. Exercise 30 minutes. I did not do this yesterday. I know exercise helps, so I need to concentrate and be sure this gets done.
    3. Do not eat for comfort. Food is for fuel - not for therapy! I need to remind myself of this everyday.

Why not just toss the egg into the garbage? I have done that before when people insist on getting me candy.
