No comforting words, no words of encouragement, nothing. A big fat NOTHING. I wish I wasn't so awkward around her. We're not close (we just started getting to see her late last year because her mother is a hose beast that kept her away) and I don't want to overstep my boundaries with her. I wish I would or could have said something though...
Wait a couple of weeks, call her, tell her you have been thinking about her. Or send her a card with a gift card to a restaurant or spa, something she would enjoy with the note you have been thinking about her. That way you don't have to get all awkward and she knows you care. Some times it is not what we say, but what we do.
I love this too! I also love giving gift cards. Almost as much as I like receiving them.

For those that are following and care - the people accepted the second offer on the house! As long as all the mortgage/inspection/misc. stuff works out I will have possession in a couple months. I'm really excited about it
@ShibaEars that is awesome! I'm so happy for you. Hopefully everything that needs to work out, will! Yay!

I took my daughter shopping on Saturday for a dress for her National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. It was so refreshing to see her try on clothes. She looked amazing. loved *everything* that she tried on and I can't wait until shopping feels like that for me again.
Confession: I got drunk and broke my own tea kettle a few weeks ago. Whenever someone asks what happened to the top of it, I say "someone must have been messing with it when they shouldn't have been". Totally true, because I should not have been attempting to boil water in that state. Lol0 -
I confess: the "Dr. Poon diet" thread was about...not at all what I thought it was going to be about.0

Not really. It's more likely he's going to hurt himself by passing out before it gets to that stage. He'd have to have some serious pre-existing conditions for it to get that bad.0 -
Earlier I was looking up recipes containing eggs and I came across this advice, "Baked eggs (350 °F (177 °C) for 1/2 hour in a muffin tin, cool in ice water) are identical to boiled eggs but the shells peel easier." I don't know if it works or not, but I remember a couple of people throwing eggs away because they wouldn't peel. Maybe this is worth a try?0

Oh lol. Whoops, open mouth, insert foot. lol0 -

I've used Alton Brown's method where you just put them straight on the oven rack. I didn't notice them being any easier to peel, but it was convenient for doing a bunch of them at one time.0 -

That seems like a long time at too high of heat to me - anyone else? Interesting, though.0 -

I confess it might be and I'd have no idea. I hate hard boiled eggs. I don't even know what they taste like because the smell has put me off ever trying them.

I try to do a lower carb diet, but I'm not even attempting keto. I've just got done studying what happens when there are too many ketone bodies built up in the blood....yeah, no thanks. lol0 -
The guys who sit in the other group across the floor from me have some very odd conversations. All. Day. Long.
Current topic: If their group had a fight to the death, who would be the last man standing and why?0 -
Confession: It is cold and rainy again and the brief warm taste of spring we had earlier this month seems like it was a cruel tease. I really just want to sit under a blanket with hot chocolate (plus whipped cream) and eat gooey, warm things.0

I just binged. I had lost 4 pounds and cheated a few days while I was away. Gained all of it back and now can't get back on track.0
-
Just followed up my healthy lunch with a giant spoonful of White Chocolate Wonderful. I am highly suggestible.0
