    Hah this is another thing I noticed on the commercial, @I_Will_End_You I said to my husband, "hey look they are copying off Ted Drewes!"

    There's a famous St Louis place called Ted Drewes that serves frozen custard concretes and their thing has been to turn it upside down before they serve it to you to show you how thick it is, that place has been in business for 50+ years, I have no idea if other custard places do it but it's funny that DQ is now starting!

    I didn't even think of that! I actually had Ted Drewes for the first time in a couple of years yesterday. Carmel apple pie sundae.

    I heard Ted Drewes has a new one this year, which is a knockoff of my favorite Andy's Frozen Custard Concretes. Pretzel Caramel Crunch - but I don't see it on their website. We haven't been yet this year. Might have to go this weekend if the weather is nice...


    Don't know if you've seen it yet, but Schnucks on The Hill have a few new Talenti flavors that I haven't seen anywhere around here. Raspberry cheesecake and the cookie dough one. Raspberry cheesecake was almost gone. I'm kind of pissed at myself for not buying some...

    I haven't but I will look this weekend when I go grocery shopping. I think the reviews have been less than stellar on both of those flavors though. I might just go with that Siverio Maria brand because not only has it gotten a good review, I checked and it's actually made in Italy?


    Yeah I haven't seen a good review on the cookie dough, but I've seen a lot of people say they liked the cheesecake one. Siverio Maria? Is that the brand that's like....way down the isle from the rest of the gelato?

    I just tried the Gelato Fiasco Sea Salt Caramel.

    Holy caramel. Impressive and amazing flavor...but I like the Talenti better.

    See, that's your problem, you don't have your priorities straight. Rent over shrimp? Not even once. Well I also say that because we went to City Island yesterday and had some massive fried shrimp.

    Wait...I bought the shrimp. If I can't make rent I know how to hustle and make a few bucks. I can busk in the subway or something.

    I looked so hard for the German Chocolate Cake. They didn't have it. That's the only one I knew I wanted to try. Now I'm at a loss.

    Other than being intrigued by that flavor, I'm not big on chocolate ice cream. I like chocolate IN other flavors, but not as the main flavor.

    I never once saw German chocolate cake Talenti or even Edys in that flavor. I must live in a bad demographic.

    I just enjoyed a cup of Eddy's Slow Churned french silk-with a sliced up banana. :) Ice cream is about to become a regular feature in my day. Think I'd better join this group. :)

    I rode the G Train once many years ago to see a girl and I ended up in BedSty and there was a tire on fire when I got out of the subway. I think I'll pass.

    lol I just saw this. Bedstuy isn't like that anymore. Well, at least not blatantly. My friend lives there and still sees some crumby stuff once in awhile.

    I love Fudge Brownie. I've tried some of the other flavors but it's better to just admit to myself that chocolate ice creams are the only ice creams that matter. lol.

    If any of you try the Market Pantry Cookie Spread ice cream let us know how it tastes.

    Today I tried Turkey Hill's Coconut Cream Pie & it was amazing. A subtle coconut flavor, a lot of pie pieces, & very creamy.
