Hi, who and how are you? Tell me something interesting and let's get to know each other. Cause we all know no one is gaining anything from asking if the person below you is hot.

Recently found a passion with crossfit and want to get certified in personal training and/or nutrition. Something about heath and fitness excite me. In my experience, a stamped piece of paper is worthless without connects and experience. Anyone their own boss? How did you make it work? Where did you start?
1. Find a place which runs a successful business upon which you want to implement.
2. Study their business model effectively , tailor to your specific needs and apply it

Well, Instead of wasting time I'd suggest read books that improve your mental state of mind and induce positive thoughts.
Some of the stuff I'd recommend
1. Think and Grow Rich
2. Mastery - Robert Greene
3. How to win friends and influence people - Dale Carnegie
4. Steve Jobs - Walter Isaacson
5. Meditations - Marcus Aurelius ( Stoicism is soo soo ZEN)
And I totally feel you, I used to be an Engineer earning 100K and was like *kitten* this rat race life where all these muppets are just living paycheck to paycheck , sad on a Monday and happy on a Friday.
I figured in life you only get what you negotiate, not what you deserve !0 -

I'm an introvert as well. I'm not one for non-fiction books generally but I read Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. If I remember correctly they do talk about how introverts become successful leaders and managers in a business world that's dominated by extroverts and how they adapt their naturally introverted qualities to become successful. It's also just a generally interesting read.0 -

I'm crazy exhausted. We've had such a crazy week. We're renovating our bathroom and laundry room in our basement, and my in-laws came yesterday. We tried to have it all done by the time they got here, but we were pretty close. Everything is installed, but not everything is plumbed. So that's fun. We're working on getting a "fish room" installed into the laundry room. We have a 260 gallon marine aquarium, and want to run our sump/filtration tanks in the laundry room, with our main tank in the TV/living room. It's been a challenge, but we're getting very close.
Next weekend we're participating in a 24 hour endurance road race (car racing, closed track). Our race car (late 80's trans am) has been having overheating issues. The boys are in the garage with the car today, and we're taking it out to the country tonight to see if we can get it to overheat again, and to practice our driver changes. I'm really nervous about the race - I've only been on this track for lapping/limited passing events, which is really different than live racing. I've raced once at Las Vegas on a live track, which was a lot of fun. However, I was driving an Integra, which is a front wheel drive car with less horsepower. This car is a lot more to handle, and I'm worried about putting it into a wall, or another car.
That's where I'm at today.
This road race thing sounds really cool. You have to tell us how the race goes! I saw them do something similar on Top Gear and it looked really tough. I'm just hoping to learn how to drive before the end of the year. Haven't signed up for lessons yet though.0 -

Oh Top Gear... I miss it. Driving is fun, although stressful when the other drivers aren't following the rules. I found lessons very helpful, and especially helpful in passing the tests!
My throat is very sore, and I'm worried that I'm getting sick.

I am in college for business. I know i am getting my BA but if i stay single than i will get PHD.
I like your logic. I also wish you the best in your endeavor! Why does it seem like having a SO always gets in the way of what we want?
I disagree! If you have goals you should go for them and your SO should support you. A friend of mine is working on his PhD right now and he got married last summer. They're also from NYC and she moved with him to Ohio for school. I don't think they have to be mutually exclusive.
And I agree with the pursuing your goals regardless of SOs too. I know a few people who are married/have babies/etc and are doing PhDs and are fine I just finished my third degree and I also am married and have a child. You gotta do what you want to do0 -
I'm Mandy. 26. Not married. Live in Tampa. Don't like Tampa.0

@MondayJune22nd2015 - wow - haven't done that in YEARS - like since I was a kid. I remember it being fun though. Maybe should put it on my to-do list again for sometime in the near future.
I like kayaking/canoeing but hardly ever do that too.0 -
Went to Kansas to meet some guy off the internet about a week ago. On my way home to Cali now, but my original flight was delayed causing me to miss my connecting flights to Texas and Arizona. Now sitting in the Minnesota airport for my 3 hour layover before I finally get back to the golden state. *sigh* Needing my Advil to kick in and possibly a cup of coffee.0
