Another post-sailing lesson run tonight, around the same lakes. This time I ran until I just felt pain in my calf, rather than trying to run through it for a half mile. I made it further than I expected. I did figure out that if I run with shorter but quicker strides, it affected me less. Something for me to keep in mind. Tomorrow will be a rest day.

I am doing my run this evening after work but wanted to pop in here before I get to far behind! So many great posts to catch up on!
@ddmom0811 - I feel very fortunate to live here. Both for the scenery and the weather. Definately an ideal running/biking area!

Woke up feeling pretty tired today. A run fixed the problem.

8.6.26.... 3.05 M..... 27:59 super cool morning- felt very comfortable today- disappointed my time wasn't faster- but it wasn't a push day- so I'm happy at how good I felt.
I had a sock problem this morning-my fiance is here and I forgot to prep so I couldn't really rummage the way I normally would- so. yeah mismatched it is.
Which means apparently I need to go invest in more because I can't find my socks at the rate I'm burning through them hashtagrunnerproblems. things like this happen:

Aug 2 - 37 mile bike ride

Aug 4 - 4.15 miles
Aug 5 - 6.15 miles - too hot to do my long run for the week. It was over 90+ humidity. I'm very proud of those 6.15 miles - more proud than the 10+ last week! Got to figure out when to get my long run in!
Aug 6 - strength training (arms/abs/back) followed by cycling class.
Tomorrow will be a rest day.

Holy guacamole, there is so much going on in here! Fantastic! I'll have to comeback and play catch up later after I get some studying done, but at least wanted to get my miles posted in quick. I have seven from yesterday and three today to add. Takes me to 20.5/90. Happy running everyone, have a great Thursday!

I may reconsider getting road Hoka's knowing they haunt the roads too.
I got in a very late 12 miler yesterday, there is just so much going on it was hard to fit it in...but I did! I suspect my mid-week long runs may normally be this late going forward with the kids starting school next week. That's about the only stretch of time I can figure I will be able to fit it in.

My computer at work doesn't seem to want to go to this page today. I hate doing this on blackberry.
8/6 - 1.8 miles. Thought the thunderstorm passed, I got almost a mile before the thunder and lightening was coming at me. I took the short loop and headed home. I don't do lightening. Skip's XC practice was canceled so we will try again tonight.
