A flat tire cut my ride VERY short last night. Fixed and ready to ride tonight.0

I'm brand new to riding (literally started yesterday) but I'm riding to the bus station for work a few days a week. To challenge myself to more than the minimum but still not overwork myself, I want to do at least 50 miles this month!
Yesterday's 4 mile ride
and today's 4 mile ride
puts me at 8 total so far! going to be more careful about logging them on my apps!0 -
I hit 300 miles last month. Put me down for 300 again this month.

7.09 Miles Tuesday
8.32 Miles today.
Planning on at least 14 on Saturday on the SCT-ATL.
I feel like a goal of 100 miles is doable!
You all are so inspiring!!!

I love this challenge! I think my goal will simply be to get on my bike and ride 2-3 times per week.0

I hear a lot about using lights and that's a great idea, however, I won't be able to do that. First, I am new enough that I have a healthy fear of dying, and it's just recently that I've begun to be comfy sharing the road with crazy car drivers during the day.
Second, my husband is a little protective and would worry too much if I were riding at night. Maybe as time goes by, he and I will both be more comfortable with the idea, but not at the moment. Maybe next winter. I don't want to sound like a mousy wife that is run by her husband, that's not it.
Anyway, I will definitely be riding every weekend and then probably spinning classes during the week. I am too pudgy to stop just because it's dark.0 -
Two good rides in so far. Neighbor I'm riding with is starting to get up to speed. I do lots of commuting post-sunset, and have picked up the refun cree T6 LED 1200 lumen light w. 8800mah of power for two bikes (seems to get me about 3 hours on high between charges) and puts me on par with most car headlights when riding in the dark.

Ok, I just rode 43.49 miles today and my lady-bits are angry!
On a positive note, I am amazed that I was able to do it. After 30, my lower back was really hurting. I will be taking my bike in to make sure it's fitted properly. I just bought it a couple of months ago and was told to bring it in after a couple hundred miles for a check-up.
9/3 20.92 mi.
9/5 43.49 mi.
At this rate, I will definitely make my 200 mi. goal. Next week is a local bike ride called the Nut Roll, I am so excited - I am registered for the 32 mi. loop. I have no clue how the people who do the century do it.0 -
