Ugh. I just really flubbed a customer service situation. Feel like a heel. Not how I wanted to start my night.0

I know how you feel.
I don't know what it is about today. I didn't weigh in at what I wanted for my 'official' weigh in but I am still in a very positive mood.0 -

Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling good today!
I lost, but not as much as I had hoped to. I weighed in yesterday just to see how I was doing, and I'm up 0.6 lbs today from yesterday. I know it's a nomal fluctuation, and I still lost, but it wasn't the number I was hoping/expecting to see.

When I drink, I definitely get social. I used to be a social butterfly, would talk to anyone, no issues with personal space or eye contact. Nowadays, I'm pretty cloistered in my own head when I'm out in public. Head down so people won't try to initiate conversation, people who know me know I don't like people too close to me. Well...get a drink or two in me...I won't start up a convo with anyone but I will participate if I have something I want to say...which normally I'd just keep my mouth shut. I'm VERY outspoken but typically don't volunteer my opinion unless provoked/asked, etc. The bar we go to is a nanobrewery with a pretty regular patrons. One Bloody Sunday I was up there drinking bloody marys (is that correct plural?) and this pair of dudes that frequents the place asked if I wanted to play pool. Normally, sober me would say no but I actually played pool with 'em because I was inebriated. Another time I was up there on a Friday night and a pair of non-regulars came up to me. One dude who looked like Kumar was trying to buy me a drink and I said no thanks. I ordered my beer and he slid his card to the bartender as I slid my card over...luckily the bartenders know me and my fiance well and took my card. Kumar kept trying to hit on me and I was annoyed at this point because I had expressed disinterest. His buddy started talking to me (clarifying he wasn't going to be a weirdo like his friend) and asked about my hair as HE TOUCHED IT. Number one...don't touch pinups' hair. Number two...don't touch strange girls' hair. But since I was under the influence...I just went with the flow. Sober me probably would have smacked his hand. I was down at a show once with my girlfriends at the time (they love me drunk because all personal space goes out the window and I'm all handsy...I'm like the fancy porcelain doll that you aren't supposed to touch...but then you get to and it is exciting) and they were sitting on one side of the booth, I alone on the other. Some guy came over to talk to one of the girls and asked if he could sit next to me, which I was already half sauced so I said yes. Half hour later, another broad we know squeezes in and I'm thigh to thigh with this strange dude AND I'm trapped against the wall...but I was having a good ol' time...thank-you booze...couldn't have done it without ya...
As for WHAT I drink. Huge beer nerd/snob so typically beer. When I cheat on beer...I dig margs, bourbon and ginger ale or Squirt, whiskey sours, Moscow mules, sometimes red wine...and my big shame...Lime-a-ritas! Being beer nerds/snobs...we don't have Bud products in our home...but I love those damn things. The first time I bought it my fiance took a pic and posted it on IG and called me out, lol. Whatever. I drink what I enjoy...
This. And I will try anything twice. Just to make sure I like/don't like it.
I realized early in my drinking years that I was not a fan of hoppy, IPA style of beers. Almost all taste like a wet dog to me. I stick mostly to porter, stouts and ales. When I do run across a IPA beer that I haven't tried, I still give it a go, end up not liking it, and never have it again. I have yet to find a IPA that I do like. Part of me is hoping someday I do.0 -

This shift is taking forever and I can't do my second round until the commissioned officer gets off his butt and gets into my office to take this GORAM PAPERWORK off my hands!
ETA: The pizza porn made me feel a LITTLE better...0 -
I prefer pale ales, IPAs, pilsners, kolschs, sours. I'm not a fan of porters, fruit beers or anything "weird"...but I love to try 'em all anyway!
I do think many reds taste like what puppy breath smells like...so I get the wet dog thing, lol.0 -

It's fine. Now we can all share in the torment. I can't fit pizza into my calories TODAY but tomorrow is a whole other ball game!

IPAs, stouts, porters and some lagers for me. There are one or two ales I like. Pretty much anything from Yards 've found I like. Flying Dog has a few good ones too, though I haven't yet tried "Raging *kitten*." It's a Belgian style, and Belgians tend to remind me of fruity, which I can't stand either. Beer's meant to be a little bitter to me, not sweet.
It's pumpkin season, and while I do like pumpkin stuff, one thing I can not get into is the pumpkin beers. Most just don't taste any different than a lager. Brooklyn Brewery has a pumpkin lager that just tastes weird.lilaclovebird wrote:ETA: I would TOTALLY eat that ENTIRE BURGER with NO problem.
When I was apple picking on Saturday I overheard some woman in the orchard say to her friends, "I'm not an apple person, I'm more of a cheeseburger person."0 -
since i started logging, i've almost completely sworn off beer...liquor, however, is another story entirely.
