Had a greate week this week and honestly was hoping for more but since it is also day one of TOM I am thinking next week will be better. This is the last week of my 12 weeks but I am loving having the support I have found in here. I will be starting a new 12 weeks now and hope I can see the same amount of weight loss in the next 12 weeks. Thank you to everyone who has become a support for me. If anyone would like support, or who could also help support me (I can use help always) please add me. Thank you Izzy for staring this thread :)

Congratulations! Great results for your 12 weeks!!!! I LOVE this thread also. Lots of inspiration, honesty, and support.

@Izzy204 Love today's tip. Haven't posted for a couple of weeks post surgery. Hopefully back on track now.

New 12 Week Weight Loss Challenge:
    20 July to 12 Oct 2015

    Name: Terri
    Age: 69
    Start weight: 177lbs
    Week 4 weight goal: 174lbs
Week 8 weight goal: 170 lbs
Week 12 weight goal: 170 lbs
Weigh in on Monday each week

    Start: 20/0: 177
    Week 1: 27/07: 176
    Week 2: 03/08: 175
    Week 3: 10/08: 174
    Week 4: 17/08: 174
    Week 5: 24/08: 173
    Week 6: 31/08: 171
    Week 7: 7/09: surgery on 4/09
    Week 8: 14/09: recuperating
    Week 9: 21/09: 173
    Week 10: 28/09:
    Week 11: 5/10:

I didn't realise that I would gain weight with the surgery. However it is rapidly returning to pre-surgery level. I am revising my end goal to account for this.

    12 week weigh in:

    Height: 5'5"
    Starting weight: 13st 5lb (187lb)
    12 week goal weight: 12st 5lb (173lb)

    06 July: 13st 3lb (185lb)
    13 July: 13st 2.5lb (184.5lb)
    20 July: 13st 1.5lb (183.5lb)
    27 July: 13st (182lb)
    3 Aug: 12st 13.5lb (181.5lb)
    10 Aug: 12st 12lb (180lb)
    17 Aug: 12st 12lb (180lb)
    24 Aug: 12st 9.8lb (177.8lb)
    1 Sep: 12st 8lb (176lb)
    7 Sep: 12st 8lb (176lb)
    14 Sep: 12st 7lb (175lb)
    21 Sep: 12st 7lb (175lb)

Weight loss this week: 0lb, with a total weight loss for 12 weeks of 12lb. Well bugger, I'm basically on a plateau! A whole 1 pound down for the month of September! In fairness, 12lb in 12 weeks is a decent cumulative total, and staying the same is certainly better than an increase!

I've decided to go for the next 13 weeks to Christmas as a fresh challenge, so fingers crossed I can budge some weight between now and then! I suspect it's also time now to look at mixing up my exercise routine, and really concentrating on being spot-on with my logging. So, here's my goal, I think 14lb (1 stone) in 13 weeks is doable, even with my so-slow weight loss at the moment!

    Starting weight (21st Sept): 12st 7lb (175lb)
    13 week goal weight (21st Dec): 11st 7lb (161lb)

I'd love to be under 160lb by Christmas, but I think the goal I've set is the number I should focus on right now. So, for the next week, work on keeping inside my goal+exercise calorie numbers, and shake up my exercise routine. I've already made a start - I'm starting BodyVive on Saturday morning, which is a class I've never taken before, and I've switched to a Friday evening spin class, which is a full 60 min class, instead of the 30-45min ones I was going to up til now.

    Happy Monday everybody!

After the huge success during the first 12 weeks I've decided to stick around for another 12
I'm under no illusions, and I'm fully aware that dropping another 35 pounds during the next 12 weeks is probably not going to happen. At some point, this weight loss is going to slow down, even though I still have a long way to go. However - I am setting it as my personal goal anyway. Cause if you're going to dream, you might as well dream big

    Good luck to all!

    Good Morning Everyone
I am so proud to see everyone checking in and WOW! The 12 week results is very motivating.
I hope everyone will stick around and if you finished your first 12 weeks, then continue on until you reach your goal. I am planning on continuing and see where I am by the holidays. I lost 10 pounds the first 12 weeks and while I would have loved it to be more, I am happy. But, not so happy with my eating while on vacation, I feel so bloated and just plan FAT! I will be back on schedule soon and can't wait. I would like to Congratulate everyone for doing so well and checking in weekly. I would love to read about some of the challenges you have had on your journey and how you have met them. If you would like to share, please do so. Have a great day.

    Accountability and Weight Loss

Its important to be accountable everyday when trying to lose weight. It keeps you focused and motivated.
You should journal your food, exercise and blog about how you are meeting your goal and challenges along the way. Partner with someone who will help keep you on track and keep you motivated. Stay away from the ones that
say "life to short, eat cake" >:) . I think you know what I mean. We all love certain foods that may not be the best for losing weight. But, its ok to enjoy it in smaller portion and less often. Each new day is a second chance to get it right, so make this day count. Be Accountable! <3

izzy- I know what you mean about feeling bloated and just uck! I was away for the weekend and didn't OVER eat, but ate more carbs and SALT than I usually do. Got on the scale and saw some disturbing results. I know that over the next couple days I'll get back to where I was but I'm NOT going to make my birthday goal. While Im not happy with myself- Im moving on and getting back on the horse!. Did you have a great time on vacation? That's what matters. Start again today :) In a couple days you'll be back where you were and moving on!!!

I think most people cut themselves some slack for whatever happens on vacation - I hope you can do that, and not beat yourself up too much. Holidays are meant to be times taken to enjoy ourselves, and not stress! You've done great - 10lb lost is a fantastic achievement, and I'm certain you'll do well over the next 12 weeks.
