JFT: I will plan out the remainder of the day (afternoon snack and dinner) and log it and stick to it. I will also NOT eat any of the sweets at the dessert buffet tonight after the concert. They are never anything special and are not worth it. I will go to bed ON TIME and use my new earplugs and eye mask.0

When you stick to your calorie goals, you get to imagine yourself running up a long set of stairs and dancing at the top with your hands in the air! (Cue: Theme from "Rocky")
I set my goals for each meal, that way I get to celebrate more often!

1. log every bite
2. stay focused and positive
3. drink water
This is 1 week on low carb, no sugar. Yesterday I was craving carbs SO BAD!! But I am going to stick with this - at least for another week, and then gradually up my carbs. It is working -- I have not had sugar in a week, and according to the scale, I am down almost 3 lbs on the first week. It may be water, but it is giving me the jumpstart that I need!
So just for today, tues 10/13
1. continue low carb
2. watch calories, and log every bite
3. ellipitical or walking tonite
4. remember water!!!! Need at least 8 glasses

2. Daily Physio/5000+ steps 10,343 steps Went for a walk along the Lagan in Belfast
3. Go to Craft Group this morning We are making Christmas cards at the moment
4. Physio Appointment at 2.15pm Physio has signed me off. Just be working on my own from now on.
5. Final Appointment with surgeon at 3.45pm Everything's healed up and my progress is 'exemplary' according to the surgeon. Follow up in one year's time.

Have been neglecting myself while giving my all at work and to family. Time to REFOCUS:

Water is the hardest thing for me to remember to do. Do any of you have this problem? I've tried keeping a glass next to me while working, and at the end of the day, the glass is still full. So I end up gulping water before bed, which is not good because then I have to get up during the nite0 -

i got nothin' BUT, my mom had a trick for remembering to drink water..... she stayed at home, so if you work outside the home, you'd have to modify... but this is what she has done:
she lines up 10 or so pennies on ONE side of the windowsill in the kitchen (or wherever you go often). with each glass of water, she'd move a penny over to the other side. that was her visual cue to drink throughout the day. bottoms up!0 -

I've lost 87 lbs. and maintained wi about a 4 lb range for five months. 3 days/wk strength training, 10k steps/day plus power walks 2-3x/wk. Seems harder of late to get to my workouts and more cravings to deal with - not sure why. Found this thread and this idea JFT seems like it could be just what I need right now. Thank you!

Challenging day. Noticed that some of us post our goals the night before & I'm going to try it out for a week to see if it helps w/motivation.
JFT (Sunday)
I will Pretrack healthy choices.
I post the night before most of the time because if I don't I usually don't have time til late in the day.
One word of caution, it's easy to just forget that you had goals. I check in when I log my food to re read my goals a couple times a day.

I started slipping into old habits tonight. The only things I think were off would be the fact that I didn't workout & I didn't have veggies to eat while prepping dinner. Tomorrow I'll get back on track!
Get in early walk.
Finish some projects I committed to doing.
Read/listen to something inspirational.
Clean house.
Preplan birthday dinner for husband.
Get more rest-struggling w/this.
Get back to drinking 9 cups of water.
