Based on how I lose weight, if I ate all of my exercise calories back- I wouldn't lose any! So, since many of my exercises don't have any estimate of burn (T25 and Beast body for example) if it isn't cardio I put 98 for my calories. Cardio, I estimate 2/3rds of what my treadmill says. I do eat it all back, but think I'm underestimating. Whatever it takes to lose, is the way I look at it.

Ok. 3.4 lbs lost in 2 weeks. 1.4 lbs to go.
I think my body wants to stay around 120. But that is actually 9 lbs below my goal maintenance weight. I just like seeing that 119 especially here at the holidays.
    Good luck everyone.

This is very impressive- let me know what your stats are- height, calorie intake, diet, workout routine, etc.

I am 68 years old and 5'2". I have lost 42 lbs. over the last 3 & 1/2 years. Lost a few, maintained, gained a few and then I found MFP and have really gotten serious about taking control of my eating.

I only get 1200 cals when I am losing weight and 1440 when I am maintaining. (Because of my age and height). But that is doable with a healthy diet. I eat more fruits and veggies. Nothing is off limits just portion control. I don't usually eat back my exercise calories unless it is wine on weekend or a special occasion or vacation.

I got my Fitbit in May and have done my 10000 steps ever day. I am now on week 2 of C25K. I take spin classes and am just generally pretty active doing all my own housework and helping some in the yard.

You can friend me if you like so you can see my diary.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks. I am a bit taller so I am fine with 125 as my goal (although in high school I was 117 on average- BUT I spent a lot of high school trying to get to 110! Why? I don't know). Anyway I'm 5'4" and I also get 1200 to lose but I am having a very difficult time with the last 7-8 pounds. Right now I do eat back a lot of my exercise calories- I know people say to eat back half of them or so, but I don't really watch that too closely and maybe I should. I have always eaten them back and it's taken me a little over a year to lose 48 pounds. I think I will get too hungry if I don't so maybe I'll just be careful and only eat half back (in fact, I often get motivated to exercise just so that I can eat a bit more because 1200 is very low). I did use a HRM to figure exercise calories but it stopped working so I returned it, BUT when I did use it I always got a higher calorie reading on it than I ever do on MFP or the machines so I thought I would be fine to eat back most of the calories, and so far I have been okay with doing that until just the last few months when I can't take off the last few pounds. I am 48 with hypothyroidism (and yes I take levothyroxine) and according to my Dr my TSH levels are fine. So I'll try to just eat back half and see how that goes.

Those last few lbs are really hard to get off for us shorties. So we just have to play around with it some to see what works for each one of us. Good luck. Some days are easier than others about feeling hungry. I just don't want to totally blow it this holiday season and gain so much back that I just give up. I don't really see that happening but I have said "never again" so many times in my life.

Maybe you can not eat back all of your exercise cals for a week or two and see how that goes.

I broke a barrier today with 129. I haven't seen my 120s for about 3 years. Feeling like I can do this.

Yeah. Down to 119.4! Wanted to eat after dinner last night but stuck to my resolve. Having a goal here is really helping me. This is my lowest weight so far.

Good luck everyone. We have two more weeks before the first big eat day.

What is everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? Any healthy ideas?

    Can I join?

    5'10" 30 yrs
    SW: 170
    CW: 160
    GW: 145

I have been between 158-163 fluctuating for months... Can't seem to lose consistently! I will dip down under 160 and then go back over up to 162-163. I work a sedentary job and lift weights 3xs a week. I have daily calories at 1400. It is very difficult to stay within the 1400 because I love chocolate and dessert. Ugh. Feeling like 145 is next to impossible.

Lots of good weight loss going on on this thread! Nice everyone!

Sure you can join Jillian. I'd suggest that if you're going over your calories don't do that for a couple of months (except for the rare off day). It sounds like you're doing a really good maintenance. You just need less calories though, to start losing again.

Logging all my food and staying around 1300 cals. Walking 10000 steps per day with a little jogging. A spin class here and there. Just really sticking to it for these last two weeks. Determined to weigh 119 by Thanksgiving. Almost there.

We can all do this. There are some good losses on here. A lb is a lb is a lb!!!! Everyone counts.

Agree. Good advice. It does take sacrifice. Believe me I love love love chocolate. Can't remember when I last had some. Oh I remember. When my grands were here we made s'mores and I only had one!! It was good but I feel better not overdoing it. None for me at Halloween either.

I will eat some when I get this last lb off. But not overdo it. I have lost 42 lbs and feel so much better.
