I have been between 158-163 fluctuating for months... Can't seem to lose consistently! I will dip down under 160 and then go back over up to 162-163. I work a sedentary job and lift weights 3xs a week. I have daily calories at 1400. It is very difficult to stay within the 1400 because I love chocolate and dessert. Ugh. Feeling like 145 is next to impossible.0 -

Lots of good weight loss going on on this thread! Nice everyone!
Sure you can join Jillian. I'd suggest that if you're going over your calories don't do that for a couple of months (except for the rare off day). It sounds like you're doing a really good maintenance. You just need less calories though, to start losing again.

Logging all my food and staying around 1300 cals. Walking 10000 steps per day with a little jogging. A spin class here and there. Just really sticking to it for these last two weeks. Determined to weigh 119 by Thanksgiving. Almost there.
We can all do this. There are some good losses on here. A lb is a lb is a lb!!!! Everyone counts.0 -

Agree. Good advice. It does take sacrifice. Believe me I love love love chocolate. Can't remember when I last had some. Oh I remember. When my grands were here we made s'mores and I only had one!! It was good but I feel better not overdoing it. None for me at Halloween either.
I will eat some when I get this last lb off. But not overdo it. I have lost 42 lbs and feel so much better.0 -

So hungry this morning. Hope it is not going to be one of those days!
My son called last night and wants us to come visit him starting next Friday for 10 days. Yikes! I only have 8 more days before my eating will be a little more challenging. And my exercise too.

One of the gym trainers gave me an interesting perspective on cheat meals or times that we give in to the pizza, desserts, family meals etc. He said that if you think of a week as 21 meals, indulging at 1 of the 21 is not a huge deal in the scheme of a week. The problem is when we allow that one cheat meal to put us on a downward spiral. I think it's important to give in every once in a while (I know the lure of post-call pizza!), but just make sure the next meal and next day are back on target.
Ok, enough of my philosophical rant
Keep up the great work everyone. So much inspiration here!0 -

Can you get up early and exercise every day or do a work out video at night? Might be a good way to offset the extra calories. I visited my brother a few weeks ago and forced myself to get up a bit earlier to run. I ended up with no gain at the end of the visit and still had some great food and drinks. Great advice that I got from someone on this blog, just passing it forward.

Thanks Kathleen. I plan to get some workouts in. They have lots of parks and trails close by so unless it is miserably cold and windy, I can walk at those. And if it is miserable weather, I can be a visitor at the Y close by.
And my main thing will be to not finish my grands food they leave on their plates. But they will only be around for 5 of the 10 days we are there. My son has 50/50 custody.0 -

Down 2.2 pounds from last week! Officially at 50 pounds lost! Now 5 to go! Can I do it by Christmas? Hmmmm. Took me 4 weeks to get the scale to move this time. Strategy this past week was NOT eating any exercise calories back and not snacking while making dinner. (I always logged those bites and snacks, etc but probably wasn't as careful about it). I also tried to not let myself get too hungry- yesterday I ate dinner before I went to workout because I was getting a later start and I knew, even though I ate a banana before, that if I didn't eat I would be famished and just eat too much afterwards. That's been the issue- getting too hungry, eating while making dinner after the workout and probably eating too much overall because of that. Well- this is enough to get me through the weekend and there's no big events this weekend to try to derail me. Last weekend was a thespian conference with food provided so it was hard to stay under goal and hard to track as I had to guess a lot. Yesterday was also a staff carry-in day and I did NOT eat any sweets such as the cupcakes and cookies that were brought in- go me! (I would have logged it if I did, but then it would have probably put me over for the day). A week and a half until Thanksgiving- can I lose another pound by then? We'll see!0

Fantastic! Your dedication is paying off!! You are finding your groove. Great willpower on avoiding the staff sweets. And good luck on another successful week before Thanksgiving.

I guess my body is happy here at 119.2. And I really am too except I just like to see round numbers.
Hope everyone is giving it that last push before the big eat day next week. Good luck!
Weather here in NC has been beautiful since Monday. Great for outdoor walking/running. Going to do Week2Day3 of C25K this morning. Did some strength exercises yesterday and am sore. Must have needed that.

I'll join! Want to hit 139-140. Was at 144, my first goal weight, but then Halloween and my birthday hit, so now I'm at 146. Back on the ship though!0

STUCK! I am stuck on the scale and eating significantly below what I am allowed. I know we love to blame water; I think I was actually dehydrated last week and back to where I should be now. Sigh. I will hold the course, but it certainly is frustrating when I am being so good!0
