Most days I do a two minute meditation I found on YouTube called a "mindful check-in". I have been letting it slide a bit lately. Today I will make the effort and take the time to do this. It always makes a difference. I feel calmer and have more focus.

Hi, it's nice to check in here once in a while. I thought I would post this here, also was in the community, not sure if it's ok to double post, but anyway will try:
One of the reasons we should try to be optimistic and grateful is that it will help others as well as ourselves. I listened to this podcast (while running; see link below) about how Norwegians think positively about winter, and this attitude is contagious, according to some research done. So people are happier! In the same way I think it's much more productive to identify the positive in ourselves and others and try to build on that, not that we should be blind to problems, but approach them in a positive way! MFP is very much a positive environment!
