    He-Man!

    Ren and Stimpy

My sister and I used to get in knock-down drag-out fights after school because I wanted to watch Scooby Doo and she wanted to watch Mr Rogers. Mom made us take turns.

    To add to this list:
    Gem
    Rocko's Modern Life
    Tiny Toons
    Thundercats

Does anyone remember Garbage Pail Kids?!

Animaniacs and CatDog, that is all.

    Loved Animaniacs!!

That show had more adult references than Shrek.

Yeah, I watched it in the last 6 months or so and I was surprised at some of the content haha

Confession: I didn't have cable growing up, so I didn't know about many of the shows you're talking about. If they weren't on the four stations we got, I never saw them. ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS. They added FOX when I was about 10 or 12 and we were SO excited (even though my mom forbid us from watching The Simpsons :/ , which I now forbid Payton to watch... :p )

I confess that I still like watching cartoons and although a lot of new ones suck, I think "Sanjay & Craig" is hilarious.

I've been meaning to watch Mystery Incorporated. It's supposed to be pretty good.

    Loved it!

And for the younger gang, my kids were always watching:

    CatDog
    Rugrats
    Hey Arnold
What was that dare thing where everybody always got covered in slime?

    Lizzy McGuire
    Even Stevens

Was Angelica just the worst cartoon human ever, or what?! Phil & Lil were my favorite, oh and Chucky. He was just so sweet. Didn't ever care too much for Tommy though.

Oh my gosh, are you talking about Double Dare or You Can't Say That On Television?! Either way, I loved both of those! Oh, and Legends Of The Hidden Temple, and Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego!

And Pee Wee's Playhouse. *Runs away in embarrassment.

Really, you liked Chucky? He was so whiny! I liked the bolded, but don't know the others.

I loved Are You Afraid of the Dark, but that was a Canadian show.

I remember Are You Afraid of the Dark. I don't think it was just a Canadian thing. Unless yours was WAY different.

I liked Chucky because he was always the sensible one. Like me.

It's funny when that happens. Like, watching reruns of Three's Company. I can't believe I was allowed to watch that as a kid. There are other shows that I can't think of...

Arthur, Hey Arnold!, Ninja Turtles, the original Power Rangers!, Darkwing Duck, Animals of Farthing Wood, Ahh Real Monsters! (this might have been an Australian one), CatDog, Angry Beavers, Captain Planet...those were the days!

Oh yeah, and Sailor Moon. When I was little I wanted to be Sailor Jupiter, but when I got a bit older I preferred Sailor Mercury. As a kid I was always baffled why they only did some of the planets and why there wasn't a Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. It took me until I was an adult to find out that there was more than two series and in the third series those sailor scouts did appear! (AND PLUTO IS A PLANET DARN IT!)

I go through 4 bottles of wine a week! eek! I think that is my biggest set back as far as cutting my calories.

That is a LOT of wine! no judgment, but cutting one bottle out would make a big difference.

I confess I have no idea what a "do-rag" is. Or why it freaked some people out.

Like wife-beater t-shirts, jorts, and wallet chains, do-rags don't necessarily "freak people out", they are just highly questionable fashion choices.

Why are do-rags questionable? They have a very useful purpose.

Also, marinas are not questionable either, they are to keep the sweat off your shirt.

Fresh eggs will not peel. Let them hang out in your fridge for a week or two

Pardon? I only keep boiled eggs for a few days......

I *think* she meant the raw eggs, not boiled. I DO keep my boiled eggs for quite a while, though, if I haven't peeled them right after boiling. Unpeeled, they last a long time. Peeled, they start to smell a bit funky after a while.

She meant the raw ones. I never bother boiling just-bought eggs. I pick them up a week in advance. They always peel super easily when they're "old."

Why does everyone seem to know this but me? Mind you, we go through so many eggs I normally have 5-6 dozen in the fridge at a time, and they rotate so none get eaten within a week.....and I do not eat boiled eggs very often....and when I do, I only eat the yolk.....

We buy the Sam's Club box of eggs. 7 1/2 dozen eggs. And hubby and I are the only ones that eat eggs.
We eat a lot of eggs...

I would totally buy like that if that was a thing here.

They made the "a" softer, more like an "uh" sound. So it was more like "You-ruh-nuss". She was quite the androgynous one, with a short boyish haircut and "boyish" interests, and they made quite the in joke about people mistaking her for a boy. In the original she and Neptune are lovers, but naturally that freaked out the American dub company who made them "cousins".

    I have never:

    Experienced online dating
    Watched Glee
    Had a bowl haircut
    Worn a fauxhawk
    Liked Sesame Street

    Well, I:

    Met my husband online.
Loved the first season of Glee
Loved Sesame Street for myself and my kids. Luckily, that was eons before Cookie Monster changed his ways.

I never knew cookie monster changed his ways... how sad.

Yes, he eats baby carrots now too. It's just wrong!

Those carrots better at least have cookie crumbs on it.

Wow, thread revived . Well done people!:-)
small confession - despite being almost completely skint and having better uses for my money, I bought myself a fitbit yesterday (and I have no regrets)
secondary confession - I am now doing absolutely nothing productive in work as I'm too busy playing with said fitbit!

Totally worth it. I LOVE my Fitbit!

    Seconded.

When I wasn't wearing my Fitbit Charge during Christmas week I kept wanting to tap my wrist to check what time time was & my steps.
