Unexpected results of weight loss

I'm a tosser. My cats learned fast that Mama don't stay uncomfortable for anyone! Lol.[/quote]
Me too. Well, actually I'm a slow roll to the new position while hoping not to get clawed by a cat that's been thrown off balance by my shifting positions. I totally get having my legs locked in place by the cats though. That's happened in the past.

I've had my babies since they were kittens, so they learned pretty quick. And I would also try to toss slowly so I didn't accidentally kick someone. But I knew when I was tossing a bit too much when my Bandit kitty would get up, wait for me to stop tossing, then pounce onto my leg and use his entire kitty weight to try and keep it there!11 -
Fantastic! Experienced many of these, too! LOL1

So, I gained really fast... but losing now, my body is different than I remember. More muscular. It's kind of nice. I don't even lift (yet, but I am about to jump right on that. Seriously, people's results are amazing!)2

One thing I notice more now is water retention and bloating. 50 lbs heavier I could never understand how people felt bloated or distended, but I do now. I can tell pretty quickly if I'm bloated now. It's strange.18

Things that have stood out to me are being able to cross my legs, looking down and being able to see my toes, not getting a backache from walking and having legs chafe together lol12

I did not even think of this until saw the post above me. Yes no backache from walking. Using another hole on my belt because my waist is getting smaller and can't wait until I am out of holes and ready to buy a new belt.2

Yes! I can actually SEE when I am bloated now. Also, like a few people mentioned before, the collar bone thing was unexpected. I have switched mostly to bathing suits with removable straps, because they start to irritate my the skin over my collarbones from rubbing after a few hours.3 -

I just noticed the collarbone irritation a few days ago. I especially notice it when I'm driving a lot. The seat belt must hit in just the wrong place.4 -

My old choir teacher didn't recognize me

Just noticing that all my skirt hemlines are dropping. Instead of midcalf they are heading toward my ankle. Weird realising that the hemline was there because of my behind needing to fit in.12

I'm cold, my rings are too big, and I giggle when someone makes me sit on the hump seat in the back of a car because I'm "tiny"! It's expensive to replace a wardrobe! Most of the time I don't see it and feel as though I have everybody fooled.10

Love this!!!7 -
Oh so many, what a lovely idea for a thread!
- No more surgery for endometriosis ( I hope! Last scan showed a reduction in my left endometrioma to way below the size at which they cut them out - good news as this disease has seen me in terrible pain and having major ops!
- No more hives
- No more angiodema
- No more anaemia (the theory behind all this by the way is that excess fat leads to an over production of oestrogen which causes these sorts of heavy period and endometriosis and immune response probs)
- No more chub rub! No more raw thighs!
- No more cracked heels!
- No more asthma!
- Amazing, increased energy
- Men flirt with me again!!!!! I really thought I was beyond ever being sexually attractive to anyone
- New friends from sport
- New hobbies
- Whole new lifestyle
Basically my body and mind could not deal with being 4 st overweight and went into mental and physical meltdown!! It's beyond fabulous to be freed of that!
Cracked heels?? That is awesome! I have that problem now and never knew it could be associated with too much weight!!! I'll be glad to see that go! And the thigh rub for me was my breaking point when I walked a lot at a baseball game Sunday rubbed my thighs raw
