I can relate to that and it's probably the reason I gained at THIS particular job. There is always something yummy in the break room. Yesterday it was applesauce cake with caramel frosting. I did sample it this morning, AND I counted it into my daily sheet - being accountable helps me realize my limits and now that I've tasted it I can move along. I no longer fear cake. LOL!
that's grand!2 -

For fun today I tried one on at the store and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I've lost 60 pounds since October but I still have 60 or so more to go and am too chicken to actually buy one and wear it outside yet. But this will keep me motivated to keep pushing because I really want to swim!!!
Buy it and swim in it! You look great, and swimming will help you look even better. Do exercise you enjoy.7 -
Doc switched me from omeprazole to ranitidine. They're both anti-GERD, but omeprazole is stronger and has more dangerous side effects.15

I got carded. I think I look at least 10 years younger than I did 25lb ago.25

I started eating oreos today, and I can usually eat an entire sleeve, which is a lot of cookies and calories. I realized after two cookies that my craving was satisfied, and put them away. I'm impressed because I can go through an entire pack in 3 days.23

I did 2 honest-to-god pull-ups, unassisted... something I haven't done in 6 years! Amazing, the lighter you get the more you can do... this has probably been my biggest accomplishment so far.22

Cheers to all these awesome victories!!!
My NSV is fitting back into shorts I haven't worn in at least 4 years! There's no stretch to them and the legs are even loose on my thighs. I'm very excited to have met this goal even though there are many goals still ahead to reach. (Hope I got the picture to post33 -
Two things:
1. Starting to see my jaw line firm up rather than looking so soft
2. Donated clothing that I could still wear although a bit large...bought those outfits because they fit, not because I liked them. I'll spend the money on new before I wear those drab style free things again!7 -
I felt fit and strong enough.. and had built up enough confidence to sign up for my first tennis lesson in 30 years (29 to be exact). I LOVED IT. Have another one scheduled for next Wednesday. Hoping tennis can add a new level to my fitness and also a social activity that I will enjoy. Being a hermit when I am not at work is my normal M.O. so this hopefully will build my confidence with being more social too.14

Alright, how do I word this.. The lower end of my stomach where the roll is no longer looks like a mishapen W . It use to have more fat on one side than the other, now it's evened up and slowly going away. I have no idea what you would call that..a pooch, maybe? XD16

Ok, so bear with me. I love portraiture, and I love those old fashioned cameo necklaces and stuff. I think the most attractive part of most people involved their collarbones and neck, it's just a thing of mine.
I haven't had collar bones that show since I was about six years old, and I took a random selfie today, and they're there! No where near my goal and obviously they aren't as prominent as they will be, but they've decided to come out again. I'm just so excited.

I was running on the treadmill yesterday than walking! I just felt the urge to run, so I did. Made it 8 minutes, took a three minute rest, and ran another five. The body is changing for the better!32

Yesterday my 6 yr old nephew said to me "Auntie Stacy, you're the best". This was while I was treading water for about an hour about 10 feet from a floating dock in the lake at my parent's campground. I was playing life guard for my 6 and 4 yr old nephews as they jumped into the lake from the dock. I think I had as much fun as they did. It felt so good to be able to stay out and swim with them for a long period of time without worrying I would run out of steam long before they did. I knew that I could keep us all safe, even in 15 feet of water.22

Recurring NSV... realizing I can have a couple of crappy days - bad eating (although not TOO bad and (almost) no exercise) and it is not the end of the world. Back on the bus. Yay. More losing to be done!24

I have two pairs of jeggings that have become increasingly loose to the point of being uncomfortable to wear for long, but I'm not yet prepared to buy too many new clothes until I hold the next size down for a while.
So, today I dug around to find my old leather belt I haven't worn in a while and there it was. My belt, tying on a notch I never before in my life used. 3 notches down from the most worn.
After a pretty fat week with bf and family away, it's nice to be reminded that yes, I put on a few pounds in the last week (and had an amazing time) but no, I'm not anywhere back to where I was and I need to keep on the right track to the next notch down.

My wife told me today that I wasn't snoring much anymore, even when sleeping on my back.16

Good for you!
I said the same to my bf the other day. While he's really focusing on his shape, I'm noticing more the nsv of him which impresses me more than whether or not he has a belly. I think those signs tell me we're getting healthier, not just smaller.8 -

This reminded me that I also got carded last week. I bought a bottle of Bailey's, and the cashier, who appeared to be around my age, was chatting with me, and she was definitely looking at me. Then she asked for my I.D. I laughed. She was completely serious. I told her I loved her very, very much. She looked confused, then she looked at my license, and looked back up at me and smiled.
I'll be 61 in November.29 -

I went to a water park yesterday and for the first time I could actually sit in the hole in the middle of the tube.15

I went to walk the high school track which I do often. A man half my age started jogging at the same time I started walking. I told myself that I wouldn't stop until he does. (it's a silly little game I play with myself sometimes) After walking 6 miles I nearly gave up and asked him how much longer he was going to jog. He said "I wanted to ask you the same thing, I'm jogging until you're done walking." I laughed and told him of my little plan and told him he would have to stop first and then I would do one more lap. He stopped and I did another mile!39

a neighbour in grade 4 saw my bike out from my ride to and from church. He asked if I'd go for a ride with him as he had a brand new bike. We rode until he tired out on a small hill!17

finally bagged all my big clothes in one of those rag-bags and left it outside the house for collection feels good to purge and have only clothes that fit me right now.16

Yesterday the wife and I spent time with her family for Father's Day. Including eating three doughnuts at church and dessert that night my calories where at maintenance. Granted I still have a goal of losing about sixty pounds but It wasn't a 4000 calorie bing day like I've had in the past. Even with not the best choices a single day pause to progress and not flying backwards is a huge win for me.

I'm on vacation with my husband's family and still made time to keep up with my workout routine! My Father-in-law even helped me move furniture so I had room!
Week 8, Day 1 of Body Revolution done!20 -
I haven't gone to the gym in about two months. Really s. ucks but I have been swimming more and using dumbbells in the meantime. Body is still getting smaller which I'm happy about. Shorts and a pair of pants I got a month ago are getting a little baggy. Got them and they fit perfectly. Noticed the next time I wore them they had more room10
