I cook with frozen meat in the slow cooker all the time. For the chicken breasts I make sure I cut them into halves at least, and for beef recipes I use stew meat sized pieces. The frozen meats, including sausages, sit on top of the food in the slow cooker. I generally put everything in at about 6:45 am on low and we don't get home until 5:30/6:00 pm so everything is well done. I've actually put a frozen roast (beef, pork or turkey) in the slow cooker (you have to add cold water in the bottom so that the heat has somewhere to go until it thaws) The roast is always well done at the end of the day.
I think if I was actually going to be around to do a recipe in 4 or 5 hours I would probably thaw the meat first.0 -
I would also like a copy of those recipes. My email is asamander@bellsouth.net. Thank you so much for sharing!!

get the book fix-it-and-forget-it Lightly it is awsome!!!!
I use Fix it and forget it lightly everyday during the week. I usually have a lot of left overs for lunch the next day. I've lost about 12lbs this month cooking from it. I also use fix it and forget it diabetic as well.0 -
I have sent it to all of you prior to this message enjoy
Thanks
