    1 August - lots of cycling (c 35km along the loire..last day of hols)

    350 cals burned or more: 1 out of 1
    (42 cumulative total towards 100 target, aiming to do this at least every other day)

    Atleast over 30 mins: 0
    Lazy/rest days : 0

    Welcome all the new faces - great to see you and good luck. (My good excercise day today probably only made a slight dent into my French cooking over indulgence! But hopefully back on the straight and narrow soon...)

    I'd like to join too.
    > I'm in for 25 miles of walking/glider machine for the month. (just over 3 miles, 2 times / week)
    > I'd like to also include my Stand Up Paddleboarding mileage too (even though it's not walking/biking/running/jogging), which I'll also target for an additional 25 miles for the month.

    Didn't quite reach my 4 miles, left the house too late so it got dark on me. But, I did the 30 days shred plus the crunches and squats challenge (100 each)

    Golf only counts if you walk the course with a push cart or carrying your bag.

    Not to be contrary, but wouldn't that just be walking? It's walking on a golf course rather than a track or on the road or in a park. I know you get the added value of dragging a weight while walking and the additional exercise of swinging at the ball...but at its core, it's still the walking that you are tracking for mileage, isn't it?

    I was, however, thinking that maybe it could be called a 'mileage' challenge, since there are many different ways to get mileage that lie outside the initial list (e.g. swimming, rowing, canoeing/kayaking, paddleboarding, skipping)...but since I'm new here, I thought that might be a bit forward of me to recommend. However, I almost didn't join because I will be doing minimal walking and hopefully more paddleboarding, but figured what the hey, this thread will give me a place to log my miles instead of my minutes.

    @b3achy. I am pretty sure it is a choose your own activity, set your own goal. It is more of a place for encouragement and accountability to yourself.

    I wasn't sure what I wanted my goal to be, but I think I am going to aim for 375k steps for the month.

    I'm back after having hip replacement surgery 3 months ago. My goal will be to ride my stationary recumbent bike 100 miles in the month of August.

    8/1: 5.1 miles/ 25 minutes
    8/2: 5.1 miles/25 minutes

    Off to a good start after two days and will try and maintain it.
    6.43 miles walk, 9.3 miles run { target 60+60)
