I finally caved in and ordered new work pants. When they arrived they were too big so I went and exchanged them for another size smaller. That was 3 weeks ago. Yesterday a friend of mine told me I need new work pants because mine are getting too big!!! I just got them!20

I found a dress in storage that I haven't worn in nearly 10 years. It was perfect for an upcoming wedding except it was white(!) and didn't zip all the way. I went ahead and dyed it a dusty rose color in the hope that it would fit in time. The dye process shrunk it so I started looking around for something else. I tried it on yesterday for the heck of it and it zipped up! It's very tight but have a couple weeks to see what happens. So exciting!24

We had to have blood tests this morning. We both hate needles. So we "rewarded" ourselves by eating out for our breakfast. I had 2 pieces of French toast with Smuckers breakfast syrup. One small container is 120 calories. The old me would have had 2 or 3 of them. Today I managed to use just 1 of them and even let a couple of bites of French toast. I didn't feel deprived and still got to enjoy a rare treat with no guilt and no slip up. Tonight I'm making a healthy stir fry.17

successfully making a new dish-carbonara and i did not scramble the eggs14

Today is my 200th day in a row of exercising for at least 30 minutes per day.42

I was taking my measurements for my appointment with my dietitian on Monday morning (I like to list my successes and challenges every 6 weeks when I visit). I've lost a total of 3/4" on my neck, 3" on my waist and each thigh, and 2.5" on my hips in the last 80 days. Totally excited, I'm making real progress!23

Added running on the treadmill to my regular workout routine. It aint pretty, and it aint for long...but i am doing it!29

I lost 40 lbs 3 1/2 years ago and still cant believe I can wear all my clothes. Tried on shorts today and they fit25

I knelt down on the kitchen floor to scoop kitty litter from the box of litter into the litterbox and it didn't even bother my knees. It was actually pretty comfortable.15

Yesterday my consultant gave me the best possible news about a newly-diagnosed condition (don't want to go into detail about THAT) - I was so relieved and happy (under the circumstances) that a celebration was called for.
A year ago, to celebrate, I'd have had a couple of glasses of wine, or eaten (a whole bar of) chocolate, or necked a belgian bun (or two).
This year I went for a 26-mile cycle ride and ate a fruit salad. And it feels WAY better than eating junk food or drinking alcohol would have Gotta LOVE those endorphins!29 -
My Fitbit crapped out on me this week while I was out of town. So, instead of relying on steps, I spent time in the pool. This week, I spent more time in the pool with my kids, throwing them around, swimming with the little ones hanging all over me, and playing in the ocean with them than I have in the past 6 years combined. That is a HUGE accomplishment for me, and I am so grateful for the memories.34

I bought running shoes today, at one of those specialty stores where you run in front of the camera. Been in a work-put rut lately, so c210k here I come!15

Yesterday, I forgot to make slow-cooker chicken I had planned, and was out late running errands. I thought about picking up pizza on the way home (my major downfall), but instead opened a can of tuna. Even better, I mixed it with pickle relish and fennel seed - who knew tuna didn't need mayo to taste good!!! - and didn't pile it on crackers or bread. Potential disaster avoided!! (Chicken's in the slow-cooker right now!)25

Loved reading all these and getting caught up!
Hips are looking smaller
Swimming practically every day (legit mermaid in the summer, nothing new there)
Been out of the gym for a few months and started at Planet Fitness yesterday. Made some PRs, feeling sore but good. Was much needed! Looking forward to going tomorrow
The XL PF shirt looks huge. Could have gotten the Large. Haven't tried it on yet. Generally like gym shirts to be a tad big in areas so hopefully it looks fine.15 -
Am still within losing first 10lbs but my work pants are getting loser and just two weeks ago I was almost left in tears panicking about what to do if they wont fit soon!! Ps- bought new pants in smaller size and Im almost in those!!17

Just finished The Pure Gamma phase from Focus T25!!! When I started Alpha it just looked soooo far away I must admit I was a bit sad thinking there was no way I would finish or even make it past Alpha week two11

I've lost a few more pounds since the last time I went through my boxes of 'clothes to fit into', so I thought I'd try them again. Found a couple of tops that now fit nicely, and three pairs of jeans that I couldn't do up last time can now be squeezed into - including an embroidered pair that were my favourites when I lost weight the last time and had got down to about 6lbs less than I am right now. So I have some new 'goal jeans' to aim at! (I even managed, with a lot of sucking-the-belly-in, to just about get into a pair of size 14 pants (the jeans are 16s) but I've left those in the box for now!)
I also have a couple of pairs of pull-on jeans that were uncomfortable to sit in, so I'd put them at the bottom of the pile and haven't been wearing them. Since the most comfy pair I was using is now loose and needs a belt, I thought I should probably start wearing those others before it was too late. Well, it's almost too late - they're not slipping down yet, but they're definitely getting loose!15 -
My NSV is three linked things:
1, I did the weekly local 5k parkrun this morning - was so tempted to chicken out;
2, I ran the entire way. A first for me and
3, I set a new PB - knocked a whole minute off last week's time.
Yay!!!!33 -
I volunteered at a regatta today (rowing), working at the launch dock.
When I did this a few years back, and did a lot of walking at the event and (this was the kicker) jogging/running from place to place, I pretty much trashed my bad knee, and paid for it for months (including needing a cortisone shot).
At today's regatta, I was on my feet all day (6AM-3PM), did some jogging from place to place, walked up the hill about a zillion times, etc. - maybe not quite as much actual running as the Bad Day, but a good bit. I'm fine. I'm going to ice my knee to be conservative, but it doesn't feel unusual at all.
What a difference 63 pounds makes!30 -
Ive been away for all week visiting family in another country. I managed to weight and log everything, get as many steps daily as I could and I lost 1 kg! I got funny looks from my mum because I was using kitchen scale all the time but I don't care to be honest.
Tomorrow we have family gathering and bbq, so fingers crossed I'll behave!19 -
The girl Friday at work, who was inspired by me to rejoin mfp and work off the 8lb that stood between her frumpy mommy and hotness, has told me that I'm skinny. That's ludicrous, of course, but I'm able to understand that she's seen me for 3 years and muy gordo is what she's comparing me to.12

I just filled 4 massive bags of clothes filled with sizes 18-22/2X/3X and am working on arranging a charity pick-up. I feel like in 2-4 more weeks the rest of the size 18s will be gone.
And today I'm wearing a t-shirt that I haven't worn since I was 10 weeks pregnant with my first--almost 5 years ago. Pants were purchase just before getting pregnant with my second and I never actually got to wear them (they were goal pants). I love shopping in my closet...
Yes! Enjoy this!! I shopped in my closet for six months!! It was wonderful.5 -
Yesterday, on a whim, I extended my run (my long run on a weekend is usually 15km, and my longest ever was 16km) and ran a full non-stop 21km - that's half marathon distance!!!
I started running with the C25K programme about 10 months ago and was completely convinced at the time that I would never be able to run a full 5km.
Yesterday's run took 2hrs 20mins, and it seems so strange to think that just 10 months ago trying to run for 1min at a stretch left me red faced and gasping.

I've logged my food and exercise here for 30 days in a row! And not the "ideal" food for that day, but what I really ate
I also had to return a 34F sports bra that I bought online for a 34E! Not a huge difference, but at least it's something!19 -
Lost an inch off my waist and an inch off my hips from last week. Oh yeah, also lost an inch off my chest as well.15

Progress is progress no matter how small.6 -
I shaved my legs today (something i usually avoid...gross, I know...) and realized about halfway through that I was breathing normally and not straining and squishing to reach my ankles. So...I probably wont be avoiding it so much anymore lol23
