    Had a weird paddle session today. Got to the beach and the tide was out...I mean, really, really out...so I had to trudge through a bit of sludge and sea grass to get to where I could put the board down. Most of my route the tide was so low, I had to be careful to not drag the fin of my board or bang my paddle on the bottom. Places that were chest deep on Saturday were only ankle to knee deep today. I did get stuck at one point, but was able to get free relatively quickly. Saw lots of huge fish too, which wasn't usual. Guess they knew the fishermen couldn't get their boats in the area, so they were having a free for all swim. Still had a pretty good time with the distance since the water was super flat today. Will have to watch the tides for tomorrow.

    Hi there Miamiseoul - just a thought - but did you talk to the doc about graded excercise (did you se my post?) and also how much walking you are allowed to do. (Usually in the UK 5000 or so so steps a day is not realy seen as 'cardio', unless you are coming from from a base of no activity at all. And is the kind of activity docs would want you to be doing. But heart /blood pressure condition fears may meanthey say stop eg running for a bit).

    If you have not had a really good chat about exactly what IS allowed, and how much?

    Thanks @gentlygently, yes, I'm currently under the care of three doctors & we're all working together. The problem with strenuous exercise now isn't related to heart or pressure - it's my back/spine/bulging disk. I'm making it work though, I'm down another 2.4# this week. Don't worry, NOTHING is going to derail what I'm doing for my health. Other areas of my life are a mess, but I'm getting back to the old me - no, scratch that - I'm building an even better me than ever!

    September 20th...............5.50 walking Miles
    September 21st................6.50 Walking Miles (some of this was push mowing the lawn)
    September 22nd...............5.0 Walking Miles

    TOTAL as of Sept 22nd......116.50 Walking Miles and I carry on! <3
