I have 6 new uniform scrubs that fit (tossed out 3 small bags worth of scrubs) and 3 shirts and 2 pants. Nothing other than a few summer shorts fit. I desparately need to do some shopping. At least 2 more jeans and 1 more shirt. I havent needed do so much cloth shopping in a short amount of time ever. Crap Crap Crap Crap Crap

Totally get it.
Underwear too. I mean, think about how big your underwear has to be for it to be a problem?! An actual problem. Like they no longer function as they should. It's ridiculous if you think about it.

That there is a noticeable difference in my waist now when I eat vs when I have not... when I was bigger, I was just always bigger... now if I eat a larger meal, I get physically larger from that meal! Woah. lol.26

Ditto! It also didn't make bra shopping easier. The band size going down, but the cup size not going down makes for even less options.
Both of you. Realize the rare combo of a skinny waist and huge tits are things a lot of people pay a lot of money for.
I guarantee the "surgical" ones look better than mine!5 -

That may be, but you probably look great in a sweater. Be grateful to be you.
I've seen so many women do this that I want to to just yank them: if their hair is straight, they want it curly. If it's curly they want it straight. If it's long they want to cut it, if it's short, they want to grow it out. If they have big boobs they want them smaller. If they have small boobs they want them larger. If they are pasty they want a tan, if they're dark, they want to be light. Don't waste another day wanting to be anything but the best version of your own self. Do you and and enjoy who God made you to be.

To hold tight to your rings. I lost a precious ring by what I can only assume was drying my hands in the bathroom and not realizing it came off with the paper towel. It's lost to the cosmos now.12

That for those of us who have been overweight since before puberty, we would get to discover a whole new brand new body.
I never got it when people said "I want to look like I did when I was back in high school/college/etc" because I was always big "back in the days". Instead I get to look at myself in the mirror now and see a body that I absolutely love for the first time ever. It's pretty neat!97 -

That's amazing! Loving your body is such a freeing and positive feeling.
Although I am at a similar weight to when I finished high school/ started Uni ("only" 6 years ago) I look different now! I also don't remember being so boney. Weight comes off in different places I guess.
It may have to do with perception. At 18 I wanted my body to be pretty, now I want my body to be healthy, strong and sexy, in that order

This post is amazing. And the theme of it applies to men as well, if not all of the the specific examples. Thanks for posting it .14 -
That you may have to get your wedding band resized - to a smaller diameter.
Jeweler stated "This is the first request I've ever received to have a band downsized."24 -
That water weight can affect how your pants fit...as a guy. I knew women had trouble with bloat because of their monthly cycle. But for me to have to put my belt up a notch for a week until I had my water weight whoosh was eye opening. I'm still on the high end of overweight bmi too!14

No one told me how much it would hurt to sit on an unpadded surface life a park bench :-)20

THIS! Cheaper to eat at home as well as better quality food prepared exactly like I like it.14 -

Yeah, I gave away all the clothes I was saving for when I lost weight as those are now too big. As winter is arriving I realized that none of my favorite winter clothes fit me. I'm not looking forward to buying new clothes as I'm still losing weight. I'm buying enough clothes to get by at the Goodwill.
@youdoyou2016 I'm finding out that my underwear is also not fitting. Which isn't a really big deal, all things considered...

Thanks, it does apply to men too. Maybe especially men. Enjoy you!2 -

I can't wait to feel this way. I am just 10.6lbs away from being at my lowest adult weight. I've always been in the obese BMI range. My goal weight is something I haven't weighed since middle school. Your post gives me hope.16 -
During my first weight loss of 60lbs:
-That the best presents you could get for your birthday are shopping vouchers of your favorite store, as you are going through shrinking pants sizes like no other
- That your mom might start trying to offer and feed a delicious food you every time you visit, as she is concerned you are losing too much and will get anorexic. My sister had issues with anorexia in the past, so this was quite understandable
- That friends will get jealous and try to find new flaws due to your weight loss
- That body insecurity does not magically disappear, you will always find new things you are insecure about, if you are not addressing the real issue
-That you will always pick out the wrong size for a long time24 -
That I would love wearing tighter fitting clothes now, even more so than when I was a teenager!14
