Today I am wearing pants that I haven't been able to fit into for about 3 months.24

This is a huge NSV for me.. So I broke my wrist a few days ago and haven't been able to workout cause I'm to focused on the things I can't do rather than the things I can do.
So today I went to the gym and I killed my normal routine (minus the pull ups) and I even did hanging leg raises wile hanging from the pull up bar using only one arm.
About a year ago I would have lied down and stopped working out all together wile healing, probably never go back into the gym after the arm healed so the fact that I got up at 4 am this morning, dragged my *kitten* to spinning class and then lifted a bit is a huge victory in it self.
Very nice.6 -
When I started lifting heavy, my big goal was to get to my teenage strength - 90lb bench. Today I did 160lb. Also did push ups while in a full back bend.

Logged for 290 days today and I'm now trying to figure out this maintenance thing.24

My average mph on my walks has increased from 3.0 to 3.3 and sometimes 3.5. It's easier to MOVE. Sometimes my dog has to keep up with ME.23

When we find ourselves medically incarcerated for a long period of time, it's definitely the small things we miss the most. I no longer have the freedom to jump into the car and visit a friend, or the energy to wash dishes even if I were able.
It has occurred to me that my life is so different now, because the things that I really miss are these... Putting on my runners and heading to the gym, knowing it will be a long time before I can do another BodyPump class, or even being able to look at food without feeling like I will vomit.
I am so pumped full of fluid and drugs the scales are not even given a thought. My greatest NSV today was not a 600 calorie burn, nor being under my allowed calories for the day. I ate an apple. I kept it down. And it tasted great.
And I am thankful I have you guys to share that with. Happy Saturday everyone xx
We really miss you I hope you start feeling better soon so I can annoy you again!

Congrats on your login goals. Maintenance is basically a learning process you're going to have to figure out your calorie requirements based on a whole bunch of factors. For me I just plug my stats into mfp and went by those numbers. Unfortunately I screwed up and I lost an additional 12 pounds but I'm happy where I am right now.

Last night I reverted to some old habits and had a 900 calorie binge. Today, I went back to my regular way if eating and will finish the day about 400 calories under. I think I'll just make my weekly goal.
I think the big learning for me is recovering from slip ups. Learn from my mistake forgive myself and continue on.31 -

I was just about to write something similar. Was creeping up to the 4-ish lb limit in my range-weight... and - although I was stressing about it a lot - after two days of 'deficit eating' I am back down two lbs already. All that to say is that MFP has taught me how to recover from slight gains and I KNOW I can do it now but I still stress about it alot!! Grrrrrrr.21 -
I went to my gym yesterday to do strength training. It's a small gym so usually I'm there alone or with few other people, most often on cardio machines. But yesterday there was five huge, pumped up dudes, training really hard. And little me training in my corner. It was SO awkward. They were literally staring at me. I'm not sure they've ever seen a girl at weight room at my gym, I did maybe once. But! I managed to finish my workout and not run away lol. So it's a huge victory for me!
But I'll avoid Tuesday evening like a plague lol.49 -

Good for you for finishing that workout! Don't worry about Tuesdays, it'll seem normal in no time.

Rude. But maybe the dudes were checking you out in a good way? Just shoot them a smile and a nod.9 -
I'm over 2/3 of the way to goal weight and I just feel triumphant this morning. Had a super sexy nsv with my wife last night. It's nice to be the pursued one .41

My daughter saw one of my sweaters hanging and asked if she could borrow it...I laughed and said it would never fit her, it would fall right off. She tried it on, and it was roomy on her, but in a slouchy, fashionable way...it fit her. I CAN SHARE CLOTHES WITH MY 17 YEAR OLD.36

This is insane, and I am incredibly inspired right now. As someone who has started and stopped (for excessive periods of time) over and over again over things like a cold or a monthly, you've really just shown me what's what. Thank you. You're amazing!20 -
Last week I ran past a group of my husband's male friends. I was was hoping they wouldn't notice me in my sweaty-stinky-end of-workout state, but they all turned and stared and then said "Hi, Jen!" A bit awkward, but I quickly forgot about it.
My husband told me a few days later that they apologized for "checking out your wife." They had seen me a couple blocks away and thought there was a new hottie in town. It wasn't until I got closer that they realized it their buddy's wife LOL!47 -
I refused the ooey gooey chocolate cupcakes at work yesterday35

haha that's awesomme but you know sharing clothes with a 17 year old means her stealing your clothes13 -
I ran my first 5k and I did so in just over a half an hour, 30:05.31

I ran...outside for an hour...in a sleeveless running top. Would never have had the courage before now.43 -
I'm so excited -- I've been working for months on building strength in order to do a chin-up. This morning, I did 3 chin-ups! I do have to rest in between. My next goal is NO rest period! Yes! (I'm 58)34

maybe they were just amazed at how hard you were working..... keep it up! They will accept you, once the newness of a female in their territory wears off.

I moved up from 20lb to 25 lb curls (each hand, same time) after being out of the gym for two weeks.20

Yesterday was my first time doing any type of weight lifting. My PT and I worked a lot on my squat form and I was able to do squats with 55lbs. She told me next time we would up the weight. I'm really excited about that.22

We had a client visit at work today. The last time I saw her was 2 years ago, when I was about 54-55 lbs heavier and massively pregnant (only 6 months along but I was huge and gained a lot quickly only to lose a bit and maintain at the end due to being put on a diabetic diet for gd). Last year I was in maternity leave and she dealt with my co-worker who covered my leave. When she saw me today she did a double take and told me I looked great! Made my day (and the visit/audit went really well too).16
