I got with "it was sweat". I've also been way more vocal about it at my gym- so women don't feel so weird- the men need to know it's going to happen. I don't want anyone to hold back or fail a lift because they feel ashamed.
You all are making me feel so much better! Because Wednesday, pee hit the floor in the squat rack. I was mortified and so glad the gym was completely empty at the time.0 -

I'm totally going with this from now on. Marking my territory.
@MissKalhan - since we were just talking about it, come read this thread, page 51 specifically.0 -

Don't feel bad. I did this... at worlds. It was my opening attempt. I got it on my second. I can't recall if I peed but assume I did, that's why most of the master women I know wear incontinence pads when we compete. It's assumed it's going to happen. I have a number of spectacular public fails. If you lift long enough it will happen, and get recorded for posterity

When I hit the end of my cycle and have to do 1 rep max- I use my new THINX panties- they have built in pads and are washable and way more comfortable.
I realized when I pull sumo- it's the absolute worst- I'm going to have the worst problems when I get older. even when I empty my bladder when I pull heavy- there's more to go. Sucks rocks.
I'm going to check out those panties. Do they work well for pee?
Deadlifting is much worse than squatting, even more so when you add a belt. The position of the belt hits at exactly the wrong spot. It's a good thing no one cares and is pretty blase about it.0 -

I've had the exact opposite problem. Ah, well. I'm checking out those panties, too!0 -

The first time I used my belt I piddled a few drops- no one told me and I had no idea. I was also mortified- fortunately- my gym was pretty empty to- but ugh- it was embarrassing since I didn't know.
Being said. It's gotten *better*.juliewatkin wrote: »juliewatkin wrote: »Man. We need a thread for our worst lifts. I fell backwards pulling 260 tonight and peed myself a little.

They work really well for piddles.
If your body decided to void it's bladder- even after you peed? no- it's not going to work. But it's PERFECT for squatting. when I DL- I'll use a liner and the underwear.quiksylver296 wrote: »juliewatkin wrote: »juliewatkin wrote: »Man. We need a thread for our worst lifts. They are 'spenxive- like 40$ a pop I think. I have 3 pairs- and they have different levels of absorption. But I use them for my period- and found the double use for lifting really helpful. I really like them- if I wasn't so poor I'd buy another pair.0 -

Embarrassing lifting sub thread needed.
Once when I was squatting in college (in the 80's, when we wore jock straps, ha!), my non stretching shorts totally blew out at the bottom of a rep. I finished the set though...1 -

Haha luckily for me, I didn't leave any puddles on the floor XD! And if these parties are light I might have to invest in them. Not a fan of squatting in maxi pads they are too bulky meh!0 -

Thank you for posting this. So why do you think you fell backwards there? I literally surprised the piss out of myself when I did it. I've done it at a super low weight (while deadlifting for Boris Sheiko, of course) just because it was light and there was *kitten* baby powder all over the platform. I don't know what I did last night.0 -
Small Sumo Dead rep PR.... top set 1x7x415 (AMRAP). About 182-183 lbs BW at the moment. Set my stance too wide so positioning looked super odd..

Awesome! Curious...what's that guy doing next to you?0

If it's the guy in Kyle's video, it looks like a hang snatch pull.1

HA- SUPER FREAK_ SUPER FREAK!

Competed yesterday and feel decent about the day. Was hoping for about another 40-50lbs on my total but that's what happens when you miss your third attempts on squat and deadlift. Third squat pulled up kinda high but I'm happy with how it moved. I was fried by time I got to deadlifts thanks to improper feuling the day before. I was nervous about weigh-ins so I hardly ate anything on Friday and I was just fatigued. It happens. I'm happy to compete and looking forward to dropping weight classes. Video is kinda corny because I'm not much of an editor. I enjoyed creating it though, so enjoy.
Squat - 230kg (507.2lb)
Bench - 165kg (363.8lb)
Deadlift - 240kg (529.2lb)
Total - 635kg (1400.2lb)
Wilks - 368.3

life is to short not to dance- I got you tomorrow- I'm making that happen.2 -
That was awesome @_incogNEATo_ ! Congrats on the meet! My Wilks is hovering around 300 so you're blowing me out of the water0

We've all got goals man! Keep working and that score just steadily increases. Short term goal is to drop weight classes and maintain some strength and get that Wilks to 400.
Thank you!0 -

It looks like my left leg just kind of buckled. I've had it happen a few times. I think falling is more of a risk pulling sumo with your toes pointed out more. It hasn't happened to me in a while which is nice.0 -
WTF is going on? This thread is - as of now - showing different posters and/or different vids.
edit: Never mind, I guess. Refreshed the page and things are back to normal.1 -
My coach. Wants to kill me. Last set of paused squats. Which were supersetted with box squats. 73 total reps in 5 super sets.

Benched 345 lbs on the incline bench Saturday, stoked right now.7

235x3's. Comparing my wide/narrow stance squat. I thought narrow felt stronger, but I think I'm going to be sticking with wide for now.7 -

Same... I've always felt more stable and much stronger with a narrow stance, but I'm trying to widen.1
