I’m still a deadlifter! But I need some National qualifying totals, so...
Your spotter! DA BEARS!!!
You trying to quality for this year in Chicago?
I'm qualified for 105 & 120. I just have to choose one. I think I have a better chance of winning 120 depending who shows up and how swollen my joints are then.
YES, I am!!! They raised my class’s totals to 362.5. I’ve got my lifts all lined out on what I have to hit. Next meet is June 8.
The Bears play the Saints at home that weekend!
How man kg do you need from your last total?
I can’t remember...
I know if I hit all my previous PRs in the same meet, it’s 367.5. 5 kgs grace0 -
Hey, @chieflrg - According to this, I'm already qualified since I can use totals back to Jan 1 2018!

Let me know if you need a handler. Depending on who is lifting when I might be able to help out.1

Haven't been able to fully squat 275 lbs yet, but I hit it from dead stop this morning!

Gaddammit @quiksylver296, just as I’m feeling blown out and tired, thinking of doing machines for the fall as a mental and physical break, you come and post some inspiration.
Oddly enough though I was looking for this thread, for inspiration, last week.
Cheers, h.1 -

I'm glad you're inspired. I feel a little self-conscious posting this stuff sometimes, like people are going to think I'm just bragging. I was stoked to hit that number this morning. 275 just became my squat goal for Nationals!2 -

210 pounds on the bar to represent the weight of the officer. 8 second pause at the bottom to represent the 8 minutes the officer knelt on George’s neck.

Hooray.
You have just dead lifted 4 of me.
Congratulations, I know how long you have been working on the 400 goal.
Can’t help notice your stance has changed. Did that help?
(We both know I’m just a recreational lifter so just a curious aside)

Hi, H! Good to "see" ya! I got a new powerlifting coach and he changed my stance (and a bunch of other things). The thing that helps the most is the new coach, I think. He really knows his stuff and has been making small changes to my lifts that have really helped.1
