Moving, large recliner couch with Hubbie and a friend. I, all 5 foot 1.5 of me, was on one end and the two them tried the other. They couldn't get up from the squat position with the couch in their hands. I needed to flip it on its end and between us got it in to the truck.
Pointed out that I squat regularly with a good 70+kg on my back. It's okay I still sometimes need help opening jars30 -
Wearing size 14 jeans. Was a size 22 in August.35

I've always felt too big, even when I was a healthy weight. All the other girls were all willowy and soft, and I was always so tall and solid. It still bothers me, and I'm 46. Never felt comfortable in my skin. Never felt feminine. But today, I was at the gym, and I was working out hard. I was strong and acted like it. I felt like my body was doing what it was supposed to do; that my strength was a gift, not a curse. For once, I didn't feel self-conscious next to the tiny little things jogging on the treadmills. I felt powerful and, frankly, totally sexy. And I think it showed. I caught more than one guy checking me out. I haven't seen that look in a while from anyone but my husband, but I sure recognized it.
This is great to hear! Reminds me of a quote I saw recently... "I don't want to be 'skinny'; I'm training to be a fit bada$$"7 -
My NSV is that, when a girl made a comment about how much I ate, instead of feeling like crap and emotionally eating more, I went to the gym and did a full 25 minute workout on the elliptical. So what if I eat more? It's because I wanna get strong23

Oh, love this post!!! LOL2 -
not fitness related, but I marked 1 year since my brain tumor surgery! My latest blood tests don't show any indications of new tumor growth, and I haven't had a seizure since before the surgery!
Congratulations!!
Do you mind me asking what kind of tumor it was? (I used to work with a neurosurgeon and loved it #nerd)
Wishing you many more tumor free years!!1 -

My NSV is realizing how many places I've discovered that I didn't know existed before being more active. My favorite thing is taking a walk and finding a new park - happens more than you'd think! On Sunday, my husband and I decided on a whim to take a side road that always made me wonder what it led to. Wouldn't you know, it's a park with a beautiful nature trail. And it's 5 minutes from our apartment! I've walked it each morning this week so far28

I've lost 35lbs/15kg since last March... over my winter break I did some travelling and realized that my suitcase, 12 kg, weighed less than the amount of weight I've lost! Sure put a big smile on my face even as I was having to drag it around. It sure felt heavy!19

Passed a couple of Fitbit milestones this week.
One million steps and five hundred miles.33 -

Last night I was in my pj's in bed at 10:30pm and realized that I hadn't done my challenge for the day (my friend and I are doing a 30 day challenge to hold each other accountable) so I got out of my nice comfy cozy bed and did my exercises! Normally I would have just decided not to do them and then it would have snowballed into a week + of not doing them.28

One of the girls at work noticed I have been losing weight. We started talking about dieting and exercise, which got us onto how many steps we take. One of the other girls decided to down load a pedometer app onto her phone. Maybe I am encouraging someone else to move more!24

My NSVs are that I've been to the gym 3 consecutive mornings and that I went to a movie last night and didn't buy popcorn plus I turned it down when offered to me (yay healthy choices!)19

1) Just noticed that I hit "two million" steps on my Garmin. What I didn't notice is that this was three weeks ago. D'oh!
2) Despite the appalling weather recently, I have been out on my bike every day for the last nine days (I've missed just three days this year so far). Now, that's not bad considering that I've been out in wind, rain, snow, hail and the freezing cold. Sometimes a combination of more than one type of weather. Today's run was 23 miles and by the time I got home I was so cold that I could not undo the clip to remove my cycling helmet. Had to ask for help from my wonderful husband who just grinned at me. He (and my children) all think that I'm crazy but they are all SO supportive My husband's only comment was that wouldn't I do better to do some stationary cycling at the gym. Possibly, but outdoors cycling is SUCH fun, despite getting home completely frozen and feeling like Olaf. No wonder he longs for summer!
3) I have worn out the rear brake pads on my poor bike. I only use the rear brakes (I find it safer than using the front ones) and they are down to the metal, there's no pad left. Ooops. But the poor thing has done approximately 2500 miles since the middle of September. I totally my bike.35 -
Today I purchased size small panties.
Since I started my weight loss journey, I haven't purchased new underwear I have been wearing the same XL granny panties. Now I'm down 82 lbs and my undies were falling off.46 -
Found a few more things that fit me this morning. I'm now almost out of smaller clothes that don't fit!10

I hit 2.5 million steps on my fitbit in the last seven month. I'm on pace to hit 4 million in a 1 year period.
I saw two neighbors at my gym. They told me they joined because they saw my changes.30 -
I cycled home from the middle of London after dinner out, it is winter and freezing, probably a 40 minute ride. This time a few months ago I would have caught an uber. Tonight I wasn't even puffed when I got home.28

It's been a full week since I've had any soda. I haven't even had cravings or sugar withdrawals. This is the first time in my adult life i haven't had soda cravings.30

Have been tracking my food for twenty days now, and went to the gym for the first time in almost a year.29
-
I clocked 11k steps today and 12k steps yesterday.19

The last night of bowling last year vs. this year. About 11 months, a baby boy, and 60 some pounds difference. I guess the NSV is how I loved getting my picture taken this year!!!40 -

This morning a coworker told me I always dress cute 47 lbs ago I basically just threw on whatever fit and now I actually have options that are apparently "cute"!23
-
I was washing my hands in the restroom and a coworker came in and talked to someone else in the restroom but not to me.. then when I said "hi" she said.. "wow I didn't recognize you! You're losing weight like that?!" I said.. "Yup".13

Missed my regular workout day due to helping pick up carpet roll. Determined to go early the next morning and I did!7

Yesterday I attended a lunch for the place where I volunteer. I won a huge box of cookies. I figured I'd bring it home and give it to my husband but I knew that I would end up eating my fair share of them.
Driving home, pondering my options, I saw a Sheriff parked by the side of the road so I pulled over and gave him the cookies to take back to the station and share with the other heroes.
Win-win. I didn't eat the cookies and I let the Sheriffs know that they are appreciated!61
