Things people do that annoys you in the gym.
Options
Have any of you ever used a machine and have someone straight away ask, how many. Sets left? So many experts in the gym come running to tell you how to do the exercise? Stalking people stand in front of you and stare?
So many machines /bench have dripping sweat all over and no one wipes after use. Anyone else had those issues?

Why is it annoying if you're asked how many sets you have left? I kept getting asked all the time when I went to a regular gym and I asked as well. If the person was just getting started I'd go do something else but if they had like 2 sets of 5 I'd wait close by doing some body weight exercises wile waiting18

Getting ask how many sets at the beginning is the problem. If you been on it for 10-15mins then it's OK to ask.9 -
I am really not fond of people who leave the machines sweaty and janky. Clean that mess off. Our gym has sanitizer and paper towels everywhere for the purpose ffs. I also hate people sitting on machines playing with their cell phones. USE the machine or get off of it!50

People who try to monopolise 2/3 machines at the same time (when it's busy).25

This. Just this morning I had to wipe sweat after someone before I used the bench.

Leaving weights on the floor when your done using them.19

Hissing/moaning/or saying "hut!" on every rep.
Sitting on a machine between sets when people are waiting.
Wearing stinky old gym clothes (one guy does this every time and I've learned not to take the elliptical next to him).
Not wiping the bench if visibly sweaty. (Just a quick wipe is all it takes.)
And here's a weird one: I've watched a guy give himself a quiet pep talk in the mirror (several times in fact). Actually, although it is a bit awkward to watch, it is also rather entertaining.39 -

They might still want to know if they're waiting five minutes (do some other workout), or 30 (go home if they already worked out enough).7 -
I've noticed some people counting the reps audibly during classes. There's a reason the instructor doesn't do it all the time - I think it makes the workout feel harder and more tedious, and wish they would stahp!!!8

When people watch me exercise. Or look at me. Or talk to me. Or breathe in my personal space.68

People who come along and take the locker immediately adjacent to the one I'm already using when there's nobody else around. I end up tripping over someone when we're practically the only ones there.

LOL
I don't do this, but I open like five lockers sometimes before I can find mine (when I'm ready to leave). I'm guessing they try to use the same one all the time so it's easier to remember which is theirs8 -

LOL...what does he say??1 -
I'm not a hater of crossfit all the time, but if I'm being honest that person who has occupied all the floor space, 6 sets of dumbbells, a couple of bands and is standing on one foot on one of those balance ball things can be annoying.15

Ah, I seen people hogging few of the free weights. It can be annoying.1 -
this thread is sooo funny and so accurate!!
I hate when people put their "things" on a machine to save it, for super-setting.9 -

But how am I to know you've just gotten on it unless I'm following what you're doing?12 -
I get annoyed when 1) there is an entire row of not in use cardio machines and someone gets on the one on either side of the one I am on. Gym etiquette 101 leave some sweat space, at least every other machine when it is not a crowded time at the gym! 2)People who don't wipe down their equipment 3) I get grossed out when people use the industrial equipment spray to wipe down their faces!14
