    I'm trying something new. I've always been on a 2lb loss per week which as been OK so far but I'm stuck now and I keep going over calories. As soon as I see the minus sign and red numbers in my food diary I completely lose it and binge even more. I am all or nothing.

    I have increased my calories to 1.5lb loss so I have a 240 cals extra calories which will allow for some treats to keep me going. Also I decided to stick to porridge oats for breakfast as much as possible as if I start the day on my favourite, toast and butter, I get more cravings. It worked yesterday, just have to keep remembering to make small changes to my diet and not go on autopilot. Wish me luck!

    P.s finding this challenge extremely helpful in keeping mindful and resetting my bad habits. Also I feel very encouraged by the new friends I have gained. Everyone is doing so well. Thank you. Xxx

    @PaulineM80

    If you are finding yourself hungry, try putting your loss at 1lb a week. You may find you have enough calories to satiate you and once you start staying within your allowance, can reduce the amount from there on in.

    Good luck!

    I'm going to give it a go. In the past I used the scales as my motivation, seeing 2lbs a week come off was enough to keep me going but since having children I have more to lose and finding it so hard preparing food for them and I don't have enough calories to eat. I need to do it this time, no more failed attempts as I'm becoming more concerned for my health these days and not just looking big.

    I was sick all last week with the flu. I ate mostly carbs and fruit. I didn't work out once. Back on this week (or trying to be anyway).

    I'm back to MDP. Would love to join in the challenge. Would love to be 30 pds lighter by June 15th seeing as I am heading to Florida on the 14th. Would love to be bringing smaller clothes and maybe a 2 piece bathing suit. I'm 52 and currently weighing in at 175pds. Life changes as a woman cause havoc, not to mention daily stress. Looking for support. To those who already lost weight, way to go!!

    Well, that didn't post my whole comment. Ugh

    I promised myself to be healthy by 50. Im down almost 20 pounds and have lots more to go.

    20lbs takes a lot of willpower, well done. I hope you reach your goal. :)

    Hi everyone! I know it has been about two months since the original post, but I would love to join in! I know with not starting as early, 30 pounds will probably be pretty difficult for me, but I am hoping to lose 15-20 pounds by June!

    CW: 167
    GW: 150
    UGW: Between 125-130

    I just joined a new gym this week, and am also new to MFP. I am hoping that between this group, MFP in general, and more consistent exercise, I can learn to live and stick to a healthier lifestyle. After recently losing my grandma to congestive heart failure, and learning that heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined, I decided it was time to get my health and fitness on track! It doesn't hurt that I am getting married in a year as well and want to get in shape for that :)

    I'm 43 and would like to lose about 30 lbs. Please let me know how to join this challenge. I've been on here a little less then a month now and have been doing pretty good so far but I want to stay accountable and not get lazy. Please add me.
