Coming in AFTER the pancakes... (How do you even follow that????)

For the most part I do eat healthy BUT... bacon is something that must not be ignored.. every Sunday. God gets his due... and the pig must sacrifice for mine... that's how it works.
I still find space for pizza, an occasional burger... a giant steak (the cow must pay too dammit!!), fried chicken, ribs, brisket... and the elusive cronut (croissant donut for those of you who have no idea what heaven tastes like).
That being said, I've still managed to lose over 70 pounds without having to play any games to trick myself, like "cheat days" (No judgment: cheat days may work for you, but it doesn't work for me.) The only thing I find myself regularly craving, is chocolate. I have to have a little every night to calm the "demons" in my head. >:)

Happy birthday! I hope you had a great day! :)

(And what kind of "frou-frou" coffee did you have? (Don't know what Dutch Bros. is - is that a brand, or a restaurant? :) ) I used to love getting one of the alcoholic types of coffee with about an inch of cream on the top for a special treat, but I can't even remember the last time I had one of those!)

Skinny people still can get cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, just saying...

    ?????

    And this is relevant, how?

Because those are the illnesses that occur due to eating bad foods. How is it not relevant?

    Shoo, you.

    @SueSueDio and anyone else interested.

My post history in this thread alone shows that I LOVE my "Junk" foods.

My doctor covered all my bloodwork/urinalysis numbers with me about an hour ago.

My "bad" cholesterol is @ 134. He said he would prefer 130 or lower.

Literally everything else was perfect. He used the phrase "Like a teenager" several times.

For what it's worth, I'm 57, so that phrase meant something lol. And also for what it's worth, he's trying to diagnose an ongoing issue, so everything that can be tested for was tested for. I also have copies of all the paperwork, so I can provide specifics if asked.

I guess I'm free to continue being unclean :p

I never know what any of the numbers mean (and have never had a doctor that tells me, if I need any tests - it's just okay or not-okay), so I'll take your word for it! :)

It sounds like you're in what might have been described a few years ago as "rude health", so congratulations! I'll have to send you my badge that says "recycled teenager"... ;)

(Oh, and I hope they figure out whatever is causing your issues soon!)

I had to choose tonight between half of a (frozen) jalapeno naan pizza or a couple of these amazing breakfast sandwiches I eat....I decided on the sandwiches which are almost twice the calories but so good! lol. Fresh, marinated mozzarella (red pepper and olive oil) vegetarian bacon and/or vegetarian sausage on english muffins. Nom. They're very worth the calories. The cheese is amazing.

Thank you! It was a job well worth waiting for, and one that I should have for many years.

Obviously it's your choice. I don't know about you, but I'd rather eat clean and look like the girl on the right. j5vsd1pucxbd.jpg

I love my "junk" foods. LOL I just can't be "clean" and "perfect" all the time. I'll never stick with it.

Also, I know tons of people who eat what is considered junk processed food only watch calories and protein and they have abs like crazy so it really does NOT matter. It's about the nutrition in the food as far as protein, macros etc it doesn't matter if you eat junk as long as you fit your calories and macros.

Whooooo!!!!!!! My people! So glad you guys are here. Makes me want to almost check out the forums more often. Got sick of hearing about how "clean" is the only way, and about how drinking diet soda is the worst thing you can ever do. I just finished a cup of coffee with artificial creamer. (yum!) It's nice to know that I'm not alone. Take care guys.

You will find a lot of people esp. Old timers who argue against restricting your food to just clean foods and also quite a few who have no problem with diet soda.

This is for dinner tonight, at kid 2's request. Bacon fat, cream, pork...doesn't get much more real than that! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/234932/chef-johns-pork-al-latte/

Already logged it so I know what I have to do to make it work - light breakfast and lunch, move my *kitten*, and enjoy the heck out of dinner!
