I am a little disappointed this week. Two days ago I was a pound lighter but the last couple of night have been tough. I seem to lash out and have trouble with impukse control. I blame it on lack of sleep (my neighbour's kid seem to have trouble sleeping and is screaming/running around until 10-11 so I am only able to sleep 5 or 6h). I will try to fight my impulses better. Hey, it's still a loss!

@dmorrical I keep a copy of my challenge log on the notes in my phone (you can do it on your computer too) and just copy/paste it every week. This way I dont have to scroll through pages to find my latest entry0

@cellosmiles Thank you!
@Smithbat way to go, that is a great start!
@sand86802 good job! I am the same way when it comes to sleep, I almost feel hungover when I don't get enough and feel all puffy. I know the scale goes up even staying under calorie but I know the next day I definitely have to fight the munchy monster!1 -
I am still not understanding the Summer Challenge? Am I required to join up or how does it work? How does one become part of the Summer Challenge group? Is it a closed group?0

You are not required to enter the challenge. If you do want to just copy the entry template and post your weigh-in once a week. The dates on the templates are wednesdays but you can post once a week on any days.
This is an open group. Feel free to share or comment any time0 -

I really hate to report that, I guess I have to be happy it isn't more though since I was on a mini vacation for 4 days and since I got back my weight has been all over the place. Yesterday it was down a full pound, today up .2! Hopefully it will start dropping again as soon as I get back in my "zone".2 -

I hate sinus infections! Going to get some steroids this morning. I never had these until I moved to Houston, now they come every spring and fall. My face hurts. I wonder what 7 days of methyl prednisone will do for weight loss? Odd thoughts, it used to make me ravenous but I haven't been hungry in 4 months. Could be interesting.4 -

Whoa! So nice to see a big drop this week, after registering a zero loss the week previous. And, I am FINALLY below 215. I've been stuck there or somewhat above for basically years at this point.
@bapcarrier Stalls happen, but you really rocked the weight loss in the previous challenge, so I know you got this.
Wednesday wish: Well, even with the insanely good weight loss this week, I WISH I had met my fitness goals last week. I didn't get out for my long walks as often as I had promised myself I would. I am struggling quite a bit with fatigue, and I don't know if it's related to something nutritional, or what. I am way behind in getting some bloodwork done to track my thyroid/autoimmune issues, so it could be that, too. So, I have new goals this week: 1) Get the dang bloodwork done (argh) and 2) Try again to meet the fitness goals.
Everyone is doing great! And it's exciting to see new people posting. WAY TO GO, EVERYBODY!5 -

And so continues my flirt with Onderland....
I have been somewhere between 197 and 202 for the last 3-4 weeks. I didn't get to the gym yesterday and gorged on pizza for dinner so it's not like I don't know why. I desperately need to dig up some motivation to refocus on A) my diet my exercise routine and C) the reason that I started this to begin with. Its hard to keep pushing for the long run when you stall/plateau.
Any suggestions for how to pull myself out of this slump?

@gullagr - there was a time during my weight loss journey when my progress totally stalled for what felt like months (was probably only about 5 weeks, but still). What got things moving in the right direction again for me was that I joined a "No Late Night Snacking" challenger here on MFP (on the "Challenge" community boards) and vowed to no longer eat ANYTHING past 7pm. That made the difference, for some odd reason (even tho my previous evening snacking did fit into my food plan). Sometimes it's just something as simple as that. Good luck!3

Off to a speedy start as I eliminated all high GI foods this week. No bread rice or potatoes. No fruit either. Eating lots of proteins and some fats. It Will be slower going from here on out I am sure
I was proud that I made my step count of 7500+ each day this last week. Which included 2 to 3 longer dog walks each day.

(Edited to add) ...
My Wednesday Wish today is that I get those last items off my To-Do list from Monday and Tuesday cause this is Hump-Day and thus it is catch-up day.
Anyone else notice that overeating today may send my blood glucose up in the morning, however the weight scale doesn't register the gain for another day or two ... I read it takes upwards of 36 hours for our bodies to metabolize what we ate, so during that time we are running on our stores from what we ate in the previous time period while that new food goes through the 'engine' (or something ike that, cause really we are always digesting if we ate). Maybe that is why I see better weight loss when I have a good 12-16 hours between my last meal of day 1 and first meal of day 2.4 -
