omg want to try these Hostess-Limited-Edition-Cotton-Candy-Twinkies.jpg?resize=640%2C391

I'm waiting for a review before I buy this.

So, remember that toffee @hgycta bought a few months back? They're scaling down their usual operations and making cannabis-infused toffee now: http://www.10news.com/news/candy-shop-owners-now-making-edibles.

I actually got an email about that and I'm quite upset about it haha I want them to continue making amazing toffee! I'm sure they'll sell more now that they're doing cannabis, though -.-

Made this and added wine the other day... LOL turned out delicious. Super creamy and wonderful flavor. So fun to make your own flavors.
    1ykdl1f9h2q4.jpeg

Where do you buy that? Do you need any sort of fancy ice cream maker or do you just mix the ingredients in the pint, stir, and freeze it? Can you make a low calorie version like Halo Top or is it only for fuller fat flavors?

Also, I went to Target and noticed a 20% off Cartwheel app for La Colombe coffees. The can says draft latte, which I've never heard of before. Has anyone here tried these? Is it like a Nitro Cold Brew? I got one of each, but I'm not totally sure how to serve them (can I drink it straight from the can?) or which one to try first (I try to limit coffee to only once every other day).

Don't be upset about the toffee. They're not gonna stop making the unleaded version. :p

Not much of a fan of jelly beans but I kinda want to try these

@hgycta I emailed the company and asked for samples and they send me 4 pints! It was pretty fun, I don't know if worth buying because I think expensive, but definitely worth asking them for some samples to try. I wish they had an unsweetened one so I could make it like halo top or enlightened with low calories. The pints have 4 servings per container at 100 calories per serving but the pints are a LOT bigger than halo top/enlightened pints. They are more like quarts lol. All you have to add is the liquid and mixins you want and you whisk or put in blender for few seconds and then just freeze and it turns into ice cream. I actually added a bit extra milk and it gave me about 1.5-2 halo top pints worth.

Reese's and most candies aren't as amazing as I remember, but I haven't had many in a while. However, I do appreciate finally getting my hands on this treat.

It tastes like any other peanut butter cup and I honestly expected something greater. The texture didn't seem /super/ different, either. But I'll always love the slightly salty and sweet mix of chocolate + peanut butter.

    7/10

I agree. I thought it would have whole pieces in it but if I remember correctly they were ground up mostly.

I already had like 3 containers of ice cream, a cheesecake and the fixings for s'mores in my cart, or I would've thrown this sucker in there too.

ETA: I am behind the curve on this one? Did y'all already post about it and I missed it? LOL

I accidentally tried the Banana Chocolaty Chip bagels. I ordered the French Toast ones, and they gave me the wrong ones. I didn't notice until we got up camping. What a complete disappointment. Super slight banana taste, and no chocolate taste (and I hate banana-flavored things). I was so looking forward to my French Toast bagels, too. That is one of my favorite once-in-a-while treats! With lots of cream cheese.

I just bought a bag of each at Target. I agree about the banana chocolate chip flavor. The chocolate chips are just specs of chocolate. What's the point? :) I also figured I'm so used to real bananas that anything else tastes artificial to me.

The maple french toast is good. I just eat it dry (but I would with any flavored bagel anyway.)

la colombe sells nitro cold brew on tap in locations in NYC (i believe elsewhere as well, but i personally go to one near my office). i think it's tasty but i drink black coffee so can't say much about the others... not bitter at all.

As much as I appreciate you thinking of me and telling me about this (it looks delicious), it looks like you need special equipment and can't buy it already made :( For the most part I like cotton candy flavored products more than actual cotton candy itself (which I usually just buy at the Dollar Tree when the craving hits, but more often I get the flavored ice cream at Cold Stone when I have enough calories left over). I'm DYING to find those Cotton Candy Twinkies. Went to four stores today and nothing. </3

I did, however, go to Giant (don't normally go there but a coworker informed me that they sell dragon fruit now - I got an entire fruit for $4.50 whereas normally I would spend $8-9 at Wegmans; it's also a red fleshed dragon fruit which I've never had before, I've only had the white flesh dragon fruit which I found bitter and flavorless but they said this was sweet!) so I found a lot of stuff that's either new or I'm just not used to seeing.

First, I found three Kashi protein powders. They're all plant based with pea protein it looked like, which I normally don't care for, but the exception to that was Orgain's protein powder so I decided to pick up the Vanilla (purple) one and hope for the best. I'll either try it later this week or this weekend.

    rkrhm4vizz5j.jpg

Also noticed new Gold Peak Coffees. I almost bought the Almond Toffee and Salted Caramel, but I just spent $30 on more La Colombe coffee at Target before the Cartwheel offer ended so I decided to pass. If anyone tries it though please report back with a review!

Found PowerBar's lemon poppy seed pound cake protein bar finally! I remember hearing about this, but I've never seen it so I picked one up to try soon! Has anyone here tried this one already?

Last but not least, I stopped by Dunkin' Donuts to try their new S'mores Swirl. I got it in an iced coffee with cream, and honestly I HATED it. Perhaps it's because the employee put at least five pumps in the bottom of a small cup and didn't bother to even stir the drink, but my initial sips tasted like some weird liquid medicine I used to take as a child whenever I got sick. Not too sweet, more of a burnt artificial flavor to it and all my high expectations were crushed. I love getting chunks of syrup sucked through my straw normally, but this was too much and very unpleasant. Even after I stirred it, the beverage was NOT worth a repurchase. The first 1/5 I've ever given to a DD beverage.

Finally tried the OREO FIREWORK edition with the popping candy. Ehhh. Tasted like regular Oreos with a slight popping after you finish chewing your bite. More nostalgic than anything. Will not purchase again.

I feel like I'm about 3-6 months behind all the adventurous people in this thread, but I tried Quest protein chips yesterday. Salt and vinegar. They started out good, but the sawdust texture after you chewed for a little bit turned me off. My son loved them, though. He's 13, what does he know?!? :D

I stopped into GNC yesterday to buy some protein powder and was chatting to the staff there about the Quest Hero bars.

It turns out that tasting that aftertaste (which likely is from the sweetener) is an individual thing. Two of the staff there taste that minty thing (one tastes mint, and the other doesn't taste mint, but just something weird and "after-tastey" as he called it) and the other didn't taste anything.

All of them agreed that the only one worth eating was the chocolate/caramel/pecan flavor. The vanilla caramel was okay with the female staffer, but she likes really sweet tasting things.

Saying that, I will say that on first taste, that chocolate one was absolutely delicious with a crunchy/chewy texture that I would have gladly had any day instead of a candy bar. If it weren't for that aftertaste, I would have bought boxes of them, they tasted that good at first blush. If you aren't sensitive to the aftertaste of that sweetener (is it called allulose?) they use, these might be tasty to you.

The company wrote back and said you can drink these lattes straight from the can. I give it a 2/5, only because of the caffeine though or else it would be a 1/5. I probably would have liked it more served in a glass since the foam was sort of bubbly and reminded me of a strange carbonated soda-coffee more than anything, but the vanilla has a weird, artificial flavor and it tasted very fake and chemically. I had to double check to make sure it wasn't some weird diet coffee, because that's what it tasted like. Definitely won't be buying any more of them, I really hope the other two flavors are better!

I only tried blueberry cobbler and I loved it. I didn't taste any aftertaste and the inside was just like the beyond cereal bars which are one of my favorites. I'm glad I like them because I'm not a huge fan of their regular protein bars.
