My best addition to this thread, though it's not "real food" is probably going to be protein fluff. Basically, 1 scoop of casein, 10ish oz of a liquid, and a little xanthan gum, then whip the hell out of it... ends up having the consistency very similar to mousse or whipped cream.

Do you know how well this works with a whey or blended protein? Because that looks good!
I've done it with whey and while it works, i think that obviously pure casein has a thicker and more pleasant texture. You might need to use more xantham to get your to work.
either way, despite having made this many many times... i'm actually not really a fan of fluff. it looks cool, but man it is hard for me to eat.
Yea... it's definitely not as good as it sounds. But it is filling, and that's generally why I make it. Eating 2/3 of a bowl of that stuff is usually enough to make me feel full (bloated?) to the point where I actually don't want to eat anymore, and I can't say that very often.
It's also good as a a topping for things like pie, cookies, cake, etc. I'll have some vanilla with a brownie or angel food cake, and it's enough to make me feel like I've eating A LOT more than I actually have. It doesn't satisfy my sweet tooth, but it satisfies my inner glutton.
Because it whips up into so much volume, the taste ends up being a bit more bland than I would have expected. It also ends up being somewhere between chilled and room temperature, so it's almost like eating, I dunno what... shaving foam, maybe??? I'm going to try adding some crushed ice next time to see if I can keep it colder.8 -

You can try to put it in a frosted cup or bowl.7 -
Yes, this is my preference! This week I did a bunch of rice and veggie mashups but minimal rice and finely chopped cauli and broccoli to bulk out the dish. I'll also do a bed of arugula/baby kale or whatever under any main meal, my zucchini ribbons and bolognese or whatever, to get full. I love the tomato salad idea, I might do that today.6

I make and then throw it in the freezer for a half hour or so.
My breakfast lately has been a serving of plain non fat Greek yogurt with about 12g of protein powder mixed in for flavor. It's somewhere close to 200cals for a cereal size bowl full of it. Very filling...sits like a brick...keeps me full all morning.
Lunch is a ton of salad veggies with 6oz of chicken breast. I throw in 50g of chopped up grapes, which gives it taste and a bit of sweet so that I don't need any dressing on it.
Between these two meals I make a big dent in my daily protein, and I'm stuffed until dinner.15 -

Kinda looks like the sugar free dessert at Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation.
I may have to try this, with something like sugar free chocolate syrup or something.3 -

That's why I don't like this recipe. If you use water and ICE or frozen fruit, it comes out cooler. Ice is a game change. It actually fluffs better this way too.6 -
Guys, when I eat Fage I eat the whole 460 gram medium tub. I don't screw around with volume lol. Currently eating 4 chicken hot dogs.21

@rainbowbow - this sounds fantastic! Is riced cauliflower just the top part in a food processor? Do you just mix the cauliflower into the prepared oatmeal at room temperature? Im trying this tomorrow!
cauliflower oats- I make about a half a cup (dry) rolled oats combined with riced cauliflower, some splenda, some cinnamon, and then i usually top it with pb2 and zero calorie raspberry jam. It just adds bulk and tastes like normal oats. I've also heard of people adding squash for a similar effect.8 -
it's something that I have been doing to a degree lately. it's pretty remarkable that I can eat a pound of veggies and it's only 50-60 calories. I feel nearly uncomfortably full afterwards for HOURS yet I really didn't eat much in terms of calories. That paired with some good protein can nearly keep me full all day where I'd have to remind myself I still need to eat.20

Definitely a volume eater. I tend to graze throughout the day so eating large volumes of things like salad and vegetables helps.10

I don't have room for fruit with my poverty macros. Actually I ate a bunch of animal crackers today. I guess I could have.12 -
I tried the fluff from the video above and I thought it was very... off putting texture wise.
I'll just leave this here
If you have a blender you can make protein ice cream, one serving fills a giant mixing bowl.
60 ml sugar free maple syrup
120 ml unsweetened almond milk
30g protein powder (recommend chocolate or cookies n cream)
Entire tray of ice cubes
3g xanthan gum (add last)
Add everything to the blender except the xanthan gum and let it go on pulse or high for 2-3 minutes until your ice is completely crushed up and you see an ice cream texture. Then add the xanthan gum and go another 20-30 seconds or so on low. I've found that if you over mix the xanthan gum you will get more of a whipped texture than an ice cream texture.
Pour into your giant mixing bowl and squeal in excitement at how much ice cream you get to eat
Top with more syrup and a few crushed up cookies or pb2.. whatever you have the calories for.
150-160 calories depending on PP used and toppings.24 -

Oh that's a hot dog salad for dinner every night lol.
My day was weird today. I was grading 4th grade state science tests and I just kept cramming animal crackers in my face.6 -

You should really get on the hot dog salad band wagon though. I'm really trying to make this explode but no one is having it.

I used to eat that every night. Put it in a shirataki mac n' cheese.3 -
I am absolutely a volume eater and will be taking copious notes from y'all here! A lot of these recipes sound great and filling!6
