You will get dizzy and light-headed after standing up too fast. Not as much of you to carry!11

Then I have to go on a hardcore swim to burn at least half of it off. Still worth it.
Alol
I love my cheesecake and pizza and then am reshuffling my calories for the next day to make up for the calories of the previous pizza, cheesecake day to balance my week out. I've become good at it. My wife asks me my why I'm eating so little the next day and I tell her happily that i had my way the previous day and that I don't mind giving up one day of low calories because of my joy about the day before Lol. She used to give me this look in her face like I'm a fanatic or obsessing individual, and used to tell me " just eat the thing and don't become fanatical about calories ". Now she sees the wisdom of my working around about calories and how I still enjoy eating what I want while still losing fat weight and her comments have disappeared.
IT IS ALL ABOUT CALORIES PEOPLE! Master that and you can become creative in how you eat them not matter what food you consume, and you will still lose weight. I love it.
I also go to the gym and try to burn some of it if I have a physical goal in mind when in cutting weight. The body doesn't care how you eat your calories at any giving day as long as at the end of the week you still are at a deficit for the week. That I have found out.

Uh if that is happening a lot that is not a sign of health. I would be concerned.22 -

Wait what? Antibiotics?? Can you explain? I only ask because all my bras are definitely way too big now, but I don't even wear one unless I'm going to the gym or work (my boobs basically disappeared entirely with weight loss lol)
Is this only an issue for larger chested women?
The men may want to skip this one---TMI ahead:
I don't know if it is only an issue for larger chested women but I had noticed some pain in one of my nipples, and it lasted for at least a week. They both also looked unusual (swollen) but I just chalked it up to bodily changes (I have lost more than 1/2 of my body weight), potential TOM coming, etc. My kid is pushing 2 and I haven't breast fed/pumped in a good year plus and the supply has long dried up. In checking for a lump, mass, etc. a disgusting colored goo came out. I went to the GYN and he diagnosed it as cellulitis (although TBH there are other potential common infections for a woman my age that it could also be, but the treatment would be the same. Since my MD comes from Dr. Google or WebMD I am going to trust him on this). I asked how that could happen (I do practice good hygeine) and he told me that it was caused by the girls rubbing against my bras, which were obviously too big. My situation may be unusual/extreme but the too big bras in question were only 2 sizes off in the band and I believe one cup size. I didn't fill it out properly though and there was plenty of room for rubbing/chafing.
I hear you on the boobs disappearing. I went from a 48 G or H to a 34 long.
Enell is the best sports bra I have ever invested in. Since seeing on the Oprah show years ago, I stayed with them so if you're working out and have the rubbing or lack of support issue then try enell.com sports bras.
Totally agree!3 -
Mosquitoes and other bugs seem to like me better . I believe it's due to a change in my body chemistry, probably because I'm eating differently. In the past bugs pretty much passed me by for my tastier friends. Now they're on me like white on rice. Plus, their bites freakin itch and hurt! Grrrrr....4

Postural hypotension. Rapid drop in blood pressure. As long as you're not fainting, it's annoying but not really a big health problem. I wear compression socks and increased my salt, that seems to help.11 -
That people will start telling you fat jokes. And when you call them on it, they'll say, "What? It's not like YOU'RE fat?" :-/12

Yes that is what my doctor said. No need to worry.4 -

Good - if that's why. Does losing weight make this more pronounced or something?0 -
clothes that doesn't fit you back then still doesn't fit you... coz their too loose now...14

That it doesn't get much easier once you have made some progress and that there will be days when you wonder whether it even matters. But then you put on something that used to fit or was too small and find out it is too big and determine to keep going.

I started losing weight when i stepped on a scale for the first time in years and it said 318. After losing just over 30 lbs a relative saw my pic on social media and took it upon herself to call me and ask if i have lost weight,i told her yes and we had a little chat about my weightloss. Before she hung up she said i should stop now because i look fine. I WEIGH 289 AT 5 FEET 2,HOW ON EARTH AM I FINE ????. I would say this is what nobody told me but i have seen many people talk about it on here but never thought it would happen to me atleast not this early, well i told her i still have a lot to lose and hung up,she escaped being cussed out or put firmly in her place because she is an older relative but i dare someone else to try it.43

At least for me there is no maintenance period. I have to continuously "diet".25

I just wanted to reiterate how inspiring I find this thread. I go through a few pages a day to keep my motivation up. In fact, my home modem is broken so for the past few days I've been cueing up several pages in different browser tabs while out in other people's WIFI so that I don't run out of material when I get home
I empathize with all the people who have commented about how much of this weight loss thing is mental and emotional, though funnily, my brain seems to be the opposite of most. I started reading this thread from the very beginning a few weeks ago and I think I was up to about page 75 before I saw a comment that resembled my situation. While so many have shared how long it has taken for their minds to catch up with their bodies and, for example, not knowing what to do when someone randomly hit on them, etc., I—who have been doing this only a month and have purposely eased into it so have only lost a couple of inches from my waist and nothing anywhere else—found myself making eye contact with a couple of guys while walking down the street last week, and when their expressions didn't register much interest, I remember thinking, 'No no, you're mistaken, I look great!'
Any other future megalomaniacs out there, who are just waiting for their bodies to catch up with their minds, and who have possibly been doing the world a favour by suppressing their giant egos under layers of fat all these years?63 -
There will always be someone who is more attractive than you. There will always be a bathing suit that looks ridiculous on you. There will always be haircuts that make your face look fat.<<<----Or mine because I have ALWAYS had a chubby face no matter what I weighed.24

Yep, I've finally reached my goal weight and think I look pretty darn amazing, but the camera shows I'm still kinda frumpy and dumpy.21

That you will never be 'done', there's always room for improvement. 'Goal' is not a final destination, but one of the 'stops', you will always find something new you want to change about your body.28
