I was meant to be both, one might not have been possible without the other, I may have simply been content 40, 80,100lbs over weight enough to have never started... After all, I didn't start until I was about 150lbs over.
However this is what was inside the heavier me, it had always been there, it just needed my help to come out. The difference between these two photos is not that one was more serious, or dedicated, or stronger, he had no more will, motivation or any other virtue, the difference was momentum! And that's something everyone can build over time...
No there are many that would like to believe they are fitter than the majority because they have more virtue but I've been on both sides and I say Bs, it's purely about the direction of your momentum... You can, it's in you!
Preaching to the choir,
Jesse
Just awesome!!!! hope to join you one day7 -

I started slimming world April 2016, Lost 26lbs on slimming world, got bored and stopped September/October 2016, I maintained my weight during the 10months I was off my 'diet' (Don't ask me how I maintained cause I have no idea!). Started the gym 2 months ago and starting following slimming world again, and currently on day 5 of 30 Day Shred. So since 2months ago (although mainly its been since the 4th of august when I got serious about it really) I have lost a further 10lbs. I want to lose another 45 - 48lbs approx

The pic on my left was taken a few years before I started my fitness journey. It was my heaviest. I don't really feel like that pic on the left is really me. But it was. I know I will NEVER let myself go back to looking like that again.97 -

300 at my heaviest, 280ish in the top left pic (I tended to avoid the camera back then so pics are scarce). I weight 190 now. Bottom right is most current, as of Labor Day weekend

@JustRobby1 How tall are you and how long did intake you to lose the weight? And, awesome job! I have seen some of your pics before and enjoyed a few of your insightful posts about weight loss.....
ETA: ok to send a PM if you prefer...3 -
I don't mind sharing it publicly. I am right at 6 foot tall, and I have been at it just barely over a year. Hard to believe considering where I came from, but I am actually a distance runner these days. I run 25+ miles per week on the regular. I have ran in a slew of 5K events and I am entered in the Chicago Half Marathon (my first) on Sept. 24th that I have been training for the last 6 weeks.22
