My usual rest day is Friday .. its mandated rest because of the long run the next day ...
I also will be resting on Monday ... and possibly Wednesday this week (im in taper sorry)
I will be running Tues, Thurs and Sat this week so all will have nice burns!

Alright, does anyome know for sure when they will be able to put in long runs, etc and when they plan on resting.
I know Yeesabelly and I can put up 1,000 to 2000 caloies a piece on a weekend day so I would liek to make one of them a triple day. Personally I have no preference for rest days.
Please let me know as soon as possible what days work for you. It seems today will be neither a triple nor a rest day but we need to establish the 4 "special" days as soon as possible so we do not lose another one. If I dont hear much back by this evening I will schedule the days based on any big runs or known rest days people post up here.0 -

I don't have super strong preferences for triple days, I can do a long run either saturday or sunday. Friday rest day would be swell though! Wed I have a 7 mile run which will be up over 1000 cals hopefully, then Thurs is a shorter run and friday rest.0 -

So tomorrow (wedesday) the chair lifts are closed. They open on Fridays in the summer...that means my mount baldy hike will either be Wedesday and no chair lift means, 8+ hours of hiking! or on Friday w/ the chair lift, 4+ hours of hiking.

As far as planning and stuff goes, I really don't care now. I mean I do care to plan and workout hard either way, but it seems our schedules shouldn't have to evolve around this challenge. Sure, if you tell me Wed/Thurs/Sat or whatever are triple days, that may make me work out just a bit longer or harder. But if I happen to workout on a rest day, that won't stop me either.
I like this challenge, but my only complaint is that we stay more active on it. I don't see as many people anymore on this thread.

I am planning to do the entire hike SANS CHAIR LIFT....so that's 8 hours of hiking 10,064 feet!

It looks like Wensday, Thursday, Saturday are the best fits for everyone so they will be the triple days,
Sunday will be our rest day.
We have not had any people actually drop out, and our total is counting ALL 15. However there are several members who i consistently have to email or read through there MFP profile news feed to secure caloires for. So our numbers are almost always a few days behind.0 -

Well I was standing for 5 hours straight and walked 30 min and did all of this in high heeled platform shoes for the Matisyahu concert...I know I burned calories, but "walking/standing in high heels" doesn't seem to be in MFP's database. Very strange.
I could claim "fishing standing" or "Music playing, guitar, rock/roll band(standing)" which would give me 1000 cals easily for 300 min of standing....what do you think????? I can change it tomorrow if you think it's okay to report this.

That is not right that those people are not posting their cals here. I think they should do it as they post their cals on their own diaries/news feeds. Well that is my opinion. It will make our boat move faster and less work on you rgutie captain.
