Still in mostly recovery mode but at least I have managed a couple of slow, short runs this week. So I have no real mileage goal for the month, I just want to continue to progress.
Goals:
1-Don't injure myself trying too hard
2-Get back to a 10 mile run
3-Get my pace back to prior marathon pace on my 2-4 mile runs.
4-Find some better compression gear for this malfunctioning left leg
5-Do a better job keeping up with this thread5 -

Well, I distance PR'd in September at 198.7 miles. I guess I should try for 200 as a stretch goal.9

Sadly, am out of time already. Have non-running-life-things to handle.1 -
I have been rather lazy this year and haven't showed up in here for a long time. Just want to pop back in here to say hi and put in my goal for October. 60 miles should not be too much a stretch but yet keep me running during the week
Upcoming race:
11/23 Thank you Run (5k)
12/16 San Diego Holiday Half ( @shanaber, will you be running this race again? We've talked quite a few of our friends running this race )4 -
How time is flying by! Welcome to all newcomers.
In for 180k!4 -

Nice. You got this.1 -
Hello everyone! I'm actually going to set a goal this month as I feel like I'm getting my running mojo back. My mood has been good the past couple days ans I feel hopeful that I can get myself back to a good place.
I also have another goal. I recently subscribed to Daily Burn and I'm having a lot of fun with those workouts. They work some muscles that I have been neglecting, so that's great. So I want to stick with that as well.
So my goals for October = 100 miles running and 2 DB workouts per week.
Yay fall! My favorite time of year. Looking forward to some great runs.16 -
I am in for 135 miles again. With one extra day and not so much traveling this month, I should be able to reach it.
Upcoming races:

October 22 – Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon. Running for the blue team.
November 5 –Gettysburg Battleground Half Marathon. Goal – to enjoy this local run I was not aware of!

If I follow my half marathon training plan my goal for October: 173 miles
Wow! That seems crazy!5 -
October goal is going to be 97 miles. I plan to finish out the training plan for a marathon on 10/21 and then stop for the month/ year. After this last race for 2017, I'll change focus to fat loss. I've already achieved and exceeded all of my running goals for 2017, but my fat loss goal is still illusive and may be a challenge. I already have scheduled a Dexa scan on 12/30 to see whether or not I achieved my goal of 10% body fat. I still believe it is possible, but difficult... that is why I'm going to put more focus on weight loss and not worry about running.
10/1 - Rest
Upcoming Races:
10/21/17 - Oregon Trail Run marathon (First marathon... goal 4:10)
4 -
10/1-6.2 miles 1270 Feet Elevation
Total Miles: 6.2
Total Elevation: 1270
October goal: Survive 100k training taper and Wild Duluth 100k
Nominal Mileage goal: 100 miles.
Elevation goal: 15000ft
Today's notes: Took it kind of easy this morning. I had originally planned on getting in 8-10 miles, but after talking with my wife, decided on 6, so I could be home in time to make breakfast. I enede up with 6.2 miles and felt pretty good after I was done, actually felt pretty fresh, which is nice considering I got 3200 feet of elevation on yesterday's 16.5 miles. The buttermilk pancakes, thick cut bacon and fresh coffee were worth a short run.
Have a runderful day all.

On the same wave length as @MNLittleFinn today apparently as I also cut it short to feed the fam (though I was mean to my children and made them omelettes instead of pancakes, they'd have been hella jealous). Now to go grocery shopping!

I think I will stick with last month's goal of 70 - trying to add more lifting! And with cycling on the weekends there aren't enough days left! Not starting off so great. It rained yesterday so we couldn't ride so I did lifting. Then today we left to ride but it started sprinkling - fun on a run - not fun on a bike. We stayed close to home and got in 33 miles. Then I decided I would go for a run. However, my calves were SO tight. Never felt them like that before. Felt like each calf had a huge rock inside the back ... So I turned back at half a mile.
Probably resting tomorrow. Just realized haven't had a full rest day since 9/22. Calves told me I better do that.
10/1 - 33 miles cycling; 1 mile run
AIM at Melanoma 5k -- virtual participant - 10/14/17
I/ITSEC 5K in Orlando - 11/29/17
Daytona Beach HM - 2/4/195 -
I'd like to join in! I'm very new to running so my goal will be quite low. I'm still completing C25K and I did about 32 total miles in September, including walking warm ups and cool downs. If it's okay, I think I'll continue tracking total miles.
October goals:
Complete C25K
Run a 5k (28Oct - haven't registered yet, a little gun shy)
40 total miles9 -

Welcome! go ahead and register for the 5k, you'll be ready when the time comes. Finishing C25K is a great goal, and your mileage goal is very reasonable. you got this!2 -
Did 4 miles this morning at a mild but consistent pace. It was my longest run in quite some time and I hope to slowly add more distance this month. Felt good enough afterwards to mow the lawn. I see a nap in my future.
