10/31 - 97.8kg I did 20 minutes on the elliptical today. Trying to slowly increase my exercise every day.

10/30 - 218.2 - goal already? I have been pretty sick this weekend and not eating much, so.i expect that this will bounce when I'm feeling better. But we'll see.
10/31- 218.0 - still on the downward trend; feeling better today and ate a bit more. we'll see if it holds.
11/1 - 218.4 - a little but of a bounce. Not too bad for eating Chinese food for dinner and not accurately tracking it.
11/2 - 217.0 - All kinds of new lows so far this round. I guess being sick really helps! lol

10/30: 147.6 /Up by almost a pound. To be expected but still disappointing. Had a good day today. Under calories and reached 11,000+ steps. Only got in 48oz of fluid and 16 of 25g of fiber.
10/31: 147.8 /(Posted on 11/1) Now a pound heavier than the end of Round 20. And today was a very bad day...drank two cocktails and two glasses of wine plus a ton of bad food. Well over calories and unable to log properly. This is the third day in a week of poor eating.
11/1: 147.8 /Still not budging. Did all the right things today. Drank 64oz of water, walked 9000+ steps and went to the gym (swimming). Ate under my allotted calories. Struggling with getting enough fiber and I feeling it in the area of digestion...
11/2: 147.8 /This number really likes me! @quiltingjaine, you're totally right! I have to be patient. Ate under calories today. Clocked in 13,000+ steps including 34:44 minutes of running at 11:30 min/mile, which is my fastest yet. Unable to get 64 oz or meet fiber goal. I really struggle with water, fiber and protein goals. Fingers crossed for a dip tomorrow!
11/3: 147.0 /Well, at least it's getting back down to my R20 end weight. Ate under calories and clocked 12,000+ steps.
11/4: 145.6 /Ok, so I got on the scale around 7am and it was 146.4 but then I went back to bed and when I woke up the scale read lower. So, the reality...who knows? Walked 10,000+ steps, ate under calories and actually met my fiber goal! I hope to see 145s tomorrow too!
11/5: 145.8 /I stayed in today, so no gym or steps. I reduced my weight loss goal to 0.5lbs/week which gives me 1490 calories now. I'm 10.8 lbs away from my goal and I want to start seriously strength training soon. That being said, totally had the munchies today. It's only 6pm and I only have 90 calories left.
11/6: 146.4 /Definitely not the best round. I'll be happy if I at the very least end in the 145s on Wednesday. I dropped my calories back down...I'm definitely conflicted. Anyways, ate under calories today. Made an awesome Trader Joe's salmon burger on an English muffin and salad for dinner.

11/1: 149.16- The days are so hectic here I keep forgetting to weigh.
11/2: 149.6- Yesterday I was super hungry all day. (think it was probably more tired than hungry) I tried to drink lots of water, but I went over on calories by about 50 calories. Today was really nice. Had a walk to and from a local cafe to have coffee with a friend.
11/3: 149.38- Yesterday I was quite hungry again, so I had a small snack that put me over calories by about 50.
11/4: 149.6- Got an hour walk in today.
11/5: 148.94- Planned to walk to the grocery store, but I got caught up in house cleaning and had to jump in the car 5 minutes before they closed. I'm doing a major winter purge and clean, so I'm sure the extra work is burning calories at least.
11/6: 148.94- The temperature has dropped here and it is getting hard to feel motivated to get out and exercise. I think I need to figure out a winter exercise plan.

My lowest yet, but I've seen it four (five?) times now. I'm ready to move on.

Today the magical scale showed 163, 164, 165. I'll take it, but doubt it's for real. On my feet all day working an event, lots of standing and walking back and forth. Brought my own food so I didn't buy from vendors or try snackies in the break room. Drank lots of water, practically perfect on macros. No added sugar.

Worked very late, got home at 11. Under ate today and not enough water.

I ate low and was dehydrated yesterday. I enjoyed a rest day today, just a half day in the office then out to eat. It was lovely after two days working outside. I expect a tick up tomorrow, but I hope not above 165. Oh, had honey mustard dressing so I can't say no added sugar today.

Monday is my "Saturday." I went on a hike, I'm proud of myself for making it up 880ft elevation gain in a mile. We went out to eat, then I had a lovely nap. Not sure what to expect on the scale tomorrow, definitely had a large calorie deficit today and I'm ok on water but I'm expecting sore legs and that can mean a little inflammation.

10/31 - 192.4 lbs - no exercise routine yesterday because I did gardening which was very active and tiring.
11/01 - 191.6 lbs - really pleased with that. I'm staying on track so far - logging cals and working out.
11/02 - 192.0 lbs - I was a little 'picky' yesterday! Confident it will come down again tomorrow. Mostly on track.
11/03 - 192.0 lbs - it will come down tomorrow. I was under a little yesterday. Still working out
11/04 - 192.2 lbs - I've been good so it has to come down soon. Not too worried yet! Premenstrual too.

I HAVE the power and determination to do this.
In the middle of Round 20, it occured to me that I may have reached my maintenance weight. I have hovered around 159 for weeks, despite keeping to my calorie goal, (10% below my TDEE), and doing loads of exercise, (and eating back minimal exercise calories). I am in the normal range for my age height and build, so I wondered if I was being realistic in my Target Goal Weight. I'm fitter and healthier than I have been for decades. I think fit and healthy should be my new focus rather than weight loss!
New Primary Goal - stay under 160lbs.
Losing a pound would be ace, as I would like a cushion for celebrations.

It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

10/30: 227.7/ Met my step goal today. Food choices were not terrible, but I did give in to the Halloween candy temptation.
10/31: 226.6/ Doing okay today. I'm almost at my step goal, so I should get meet my goal this evening. But the food temptations! School Halloween party, plus a student's birthday, plus Halloween candy at home for my son!!! I have to resist!
11/1: 226.3/ Did great on calories and steps today, if I stop eating now. I have a lot to do this evening, but that's when my munching temptations kick in. I may just go on to bed early to avoid the temptation.
11/2: 226.4/ Not so great with food choices today, but went over my step goal.
11/3: 226.1/Having a hard time resisting snacks and munching. Doing pretty good on calories but not the best. There's a good bit I could cut out to help with losing weight. It's easy to say that after the fact, not as easy when food is right in front of me.
11/4: 225.8/ Weight is going down, so I'm happy. Still haven't made good food choices. Tomorrow- no sugary desserts all day. No chips or other snacks. Only planned meals and a planned snack between meals. I know I can do it for one day!
11/5: 225.2/ Weight is still going down! I did really good on the no sugar snacks today, not perfect, but much better than usual. Tomorrow- same goal- no unplanned snacks. I'm also going to cut back on processed carbs.
11/6: 225.8/ I don't like that it went back up today. Hope it goes back down tomorrow, but I had a lot of sodium today, so I may retain/gain more.

10/30 - 65.6kg - Had a lovely day of not counting yesterday as a bit of mental reprieve. Enjoyed a glass of wine and spaghetti for dinner with my partner. The blip on the scale was expected. Back to high protein, low carb, intermittent fasting for the rest of the round. C'mon goal weight!
10/31- 65.0kg - Good day yesterday, managed to stay away from all the sweets that are in the house at the moment. Almost down past my finishing weight for last round. Didn't get any exercise yesterday but will be hitting the gym today!
11/1 - 64.4kg - YAY!! So happy to see my lowest weight in over 12 months. Bye bye TOM. The plan is working! Prepped my dinner to eat in my hotel tonight (so so boring but necessary) and will be seeking out healthy options while I'm in London. Looking forward to potentially being at my mini-goal by the time I get back to my scale!
11/2 - Away from scale - had a super hungry day yesterday but managed to stick to the plan. Definitely under my water goal. London tap water BLERGH. Eating light today because I'm out with a work colleague for dinner tonight. Going to stick to max two glasses of wine and will order vegetable and protein off the menu (sauce on the side of course).
11/3 - Away from scale - well the plan to only have two wines last night didn't happen hahaha. Did well with dinner though. Feeling a little sorry for myself today and trying to stay away from the food car on the train home. A Kit Kat is calling my name haha

29/10 - 195lbs - In R 20 I saw my lowest number yet (193lbs) but then the dreaded TOM appeared in the last days and the weight went back up again! but all in all I am happy with my results over the last 2 rounds. Moving in the right direction.

31/10 - 195.2 - Just back from the doctors ... I have a 40 week wait - yes 40 to see a spinal doctor about the pain in my back and leg and also for an MRI scan ... till then its pain killers to keep me moving -- 40 weeks .. wow!!

I felt like I just wasted 5 minutes of my life that could have been spent getting some exercise. I know I should have more patience but it seemed like everything I just said went right through her ears.

I have no goal in mind for only 10 days. I will be happy with a 1 or 2 pound loss after each round. My ultimate

Someone asked me yesterday what my secret is and as I was explaining CICO and exercise they almost looked bored. Then they asked me about apple cider vinegar. I felt like I just wasted 5 minutes of my life that could have been spent getting some exercise. I know I should have more patience but it seemed like everything I just said went right through her ears.

I think people just want a magic bullet sometimes. I am often asked how long it has taken me to lose the 26kgs I've lost so far and when I say 4 years people are like "Oh... ummm, good work?" as if it's not really an achievement if it hasn't happened in 30 days!10 -
Starting MFP weight 223
10-29 weight 171.6
Round 21 - CGW - 169 (2.6 pounds)
10/30 - 171.6 - Happy with this weight. No gain overnight.
10/31 - 171.4 - A loss is a loss is a WIN! Staying focused and working hard. Off to the gym to run and lift.
11/1 - 171.6 - Yuck!!! Hanging in there.
11/2 - 172.4 - Ouch! And that's what happens folks when you don't work the plan as you should. I own it and I'm really mad at myself for giving up on me. Today is a new day and new mindset. I expect good results tomorrow.
11/3 - 172.4 - Well I got nothin. Off to run a few miles and lift weights.

11/5 - 173.8 - Oh boy, not good at all. I wasn't going to post today because I was too embarrassed, but what is the point of doing the challenge if I'm not upfront about the awful days too. Hopefully better news tomorrow.
11/6 - 173.2 - I'll get there. Not giving up.
11/7 - 171.8 - Now that's what I'm talking about! If I work hard today I just may end this round with a slight loss overall. I was on the fence about running today but this just inspired me!

No sense getting embarrassed among us. We're all in the same boat. We need to learn to love ourselves with all the vicissitudes of life getting in the way. None of us is totally consistent. We all have good days and bad for a variety of reasons. What's happening here is that we are taking a moment each day to learn about what makes our own self tick, at least weight wise.
