11/19 155.2 Dieted successfully, yesterday. I planned the day & stuck with it. Included yummy slice of birthday cake! I knew I had an Anniversary party to go to, last night, so planned for the cake & asked the menu in advance & planned accordingly. Hope that I stick with my plans more this challenge. This holiday week is going to be so difficult! Hard to plan when traveling & out of town.

I weigh first thing in the morning when I get up. My scale only has 1/2# increments, and I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale. Comments reflect prior day. Prior round EW 162.0 LW 162.010/20/17 / Started Round 20: Oooh, I like this thread! I've been weighing myself daily since April, keeping track in MFP Food Notes, and logging my "official" weigh-ins on Saturdays. I've been amazed at how much my weight can fluctuate from day to day, depending on eating out or processed foods, adult beverages, net calories green or red, etc. Daily weigh-ins really help me see cause and effect with high sodium, too much sugar, etc. I don't get freaked now by a jump on the scale, since I know what I did to cause it, and what I can do to change it.

11/09: 163.5 Active day, including dog walk 3.09 miles. Fitbit 16,212 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 46 floors. 10c water.
11/10: 163.0 Non-dog walk day. Fitbit 7,901 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 34 floors. 10c water & net calories green (barely).
11/11: 164.5 That's what happens after net calories -362 and super high sodium (smoked salmon & crackers w/ hubby). Walked dog 3.86 miles & yardwork prepping for winter. Fitbit 16,147 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours (day at home) & 35 floors. 14c water, need to keep that up today.
11/12: 163.5 Net calories red, sodium green, 13c water. Walked dog 2.34 miles. Fitbit 10,439 steps, 250+ steps 7/14 hours & 15 floors.
11/13: 164.0 Sometimes I wish my scale weighed in .1 increments. Oh well, as long as I can see the trend long term. Walked dog 3.28 miles. Fitbit 15,118 steps, 250+ 10/14 hours (church & watched Packers game) and 28 floors. 12c water.
11/14: 164.0 Walked dog 3.03 miles. Fitbit 14,836 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 37 floors.
11/15: 163.5 Happy w/ this after seminar 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walked dog 3.09 miles. Fitbit 11,607 steps, 250+ steps 8/14 hours & 15 floors. 11c water (pitchers on tables at seminar).
11/16: 163.0 Little surprised, I'll take it. Net calories red, sodium red, 14c water. Non-dog walk day & evening at theatre. Fitbit 8,030 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 31 floors.
11/17: 163.0 Steady is good. Net calories & sodium green, 14c water. Walked dog 3.09 miles. Fitbit 15,052 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 35 floors.
11/18: 162.0 Another surprise...maybe this was why I felt hungry. Net calories -48, sodium green & 12c water. Walked dog 3.09 miles. Fitbit 15,280 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 hours (boom) & 44 floors.
11/19: 165.0 Expected jump from parade day. Staged holiday parade in a.m. Gave myself day off from logging & to imbibe / eat whatever I wanted. Drank adult beverages, ate restaurant meal and treats at home. Totally worth it! Walked dog 2.83 miles in afternoon. Fitbit 14,794 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 hours and 19 floors.

11/19 225.1 So sick. Eating everything! Don't even care right now. Tomorrow I will do better. Today is better than yesterday, but still struggling to control myself. I hate being sick, and slide back into bad eating habits to comfort myself.

I have 2 thanksgiving meals to go to this round and my cousin's wedding, so my goal is to maintain the same average weight this round as last round.
11/19: 119.8- This is a jump up of a lb from yesterday, but I'm really feeling my strength workout from yesterday so I think that is contributing a bit to the increase.7 -
@Elbee1 Thank you! Now to hit those 40s! It is hard when you are traveling and not doing the cooking. Limit your portions of the stuff you know is loaded with calories- green bean casserole, super sweetened sweet potatoes, etc. You’ve got this! YOU are in control!!
@lajeanneh I get the same way. Feel crummy, want comfort food - for me that would be cream of tomato soup and grilled cheese. Thank God I haven’t been sick lately! Give in to it but get back on the wagon when you feel better. You will feel even better once you are back to eating healthier!

For what it's worth, @kpondskponds, I've found in my -70 lb journey that a breakfast high in protein, moderate in good fats, and lower in carbs (though not carb free) satisfies and sticks MUCH better than a high-carb breakfast (like oatmeal and banana!). I use liquid egg whites in many ways to add protein -- microwaved with tomatoes and bell peppers and an ounce of cheese; in an overnight oat or muesli mix I've created (you don't even notice the eggs); microwaved on whole grain bread or muffin with avocado/guacamole or hummus. Happy to share the overnight oats/muesli recipe if anyone wants it -- I make a week's worth at a time. It's very discouraging to be overly hungry while trying to lose!6 -

11/19 I overdid it yesterday and the expected hobbling pain came and I still hustled around moving boxes and furniture. I bought a candy apple based on the memory of enjoying them, but honestly, I only really enjoyed the green apple part. So I have added a new goal to this round: honour my authentic self. I am the girl who likes the green apple & I don’t need to eat/do/act in ways that do not align with who I am.
