6. Curate music collection. Sync with ipod. ✔
7. Daily writing: 30 minutes - Finish form set. ✔
8. Library: donate shopping bags. MUST DO TODAY!!! ✔
9. Gym after school. 3m15s run @ 6.5 m/h on treadmill followed by walking to 10k steps, then strength class. ✔
10. Prep breakfast and lunches upon return from school. ❌ (had no time - had to get to gym right away and then straight to the movie)

Today: 177.4. I have GOT to stay away from snacks this weekend and plan out my weekend eating better.

Looks like I hopped on here and commented but didn't give myself any goals! Huh... How about that? LOL!
We had what they call the "Man Cave Breakfast" at work today. The guys from Plant Ops have a garage type building with tools and things in it. And every year they decorate it, set up tables and cook a ton of food for everyone at our location! It was so good and SO NICE! Really a nice way to start the day. I cannot believe how blessed I feel to have gotten this job. Great group of people. Anyway, I don't normally eat breakfast (I'm a coffee drinker until about 10;30 and then I eat something) so after eating at the breakfast I feel like I need to take a nap!
I'll have to guess at the calories because I have no idea what all were exactly in the scrambled egg dishes.
@Bex953172 Good news about the baby! My husband put my sewing stuff all away and locked it up in the back of the basement because of all the kids coming over the holidays so I won't be able to work on the quilt for a few weeks now. I wish I were a faster quilter! I'm a newbie so it takes me forever to make them. But I haven't forgotten!
@joan6630 Sounds like a perfect day with your daughter! I'm so happy for you. Those are the memories we need to cherish and hold close to our hearts. My children all live in town and I don't see them nearly enough, so I really enjoy the one on one time I do get with them, especially when it's for fun and not because of a problem them need me to help solve (usually money)! LOL!
I've got a meeting, so I'll hop back on for my goals today.

Recap R 12/14 - Day of rest, after treadmill early and shoveling late on Wed.
1) Move hourly / stairs breaks at work = Fitbit 10,431 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 27 floors.
2) Leftovers for lunch at desk b/c have noon class / net calories green & >12c water = Net calories w/i 100 green, sodium red & 15c water. Light on fiber lately, need to increase.
3) Evening: choir, grocery shop & Christmas to-do list = Done / done / some, so far behind where I wanted to be by now
4) Floss & retainers / bed & TV off 10:15 (treadmill F a.m.) = No flossing but wore retainers / maybe in bed by 10:30 & left TV on but fell asleep anyway Thank goodness I have nothing scheduled Sat. and can sleep in, I so need that! Unfortunately hubby has to work this weekend.

1) Treadmill / walked 3 miles / 51:43...little slower this morning, feel like I have a cold trying to start. Slamming zinc tablets today. Also, figured out Fitbit and treadmill do not measure distance the same...Fitbit did not show 3 miles when I finished. On the other hand, the other day, Fitbit said I did the elliptical, which we don't have. lol

3) Meals & snacks prelogged / stick w/ plan...trying new recipe for unstuffed cabbage rolls with ground turkey (cabbage from winter market last Sat.) / net calories green & > 12c water & fiber > 25g
4) Evening: wrap gifts to be shipped / prep card & letter for overseas...want to mail Sat. / read ads for sales / if energy left, Christmas to-do list
5) Floss & retainers / no bedtime b/c it's Friday!

Accounting update session - went well, except for the potluck.
Follow up on last weeks interview - most excellent update. I think I am about to have a new job. Negotiations start today.
Clean spare fridge next door - well, I'll take this as a win because I cleaned a fridge. It just happened to be mine. I had some fresh ground meat to package and it bled. I just ended up cleaning up/out the whole fridge.

My granddaughter is nearing 2 months old. She is doing super. Her mom and dad are stepping right into their new parent shoes.
@Joan6630 - I hear you: If I don't have time to log, be MINDFUL of WHAT I EAT. Even if we don't know what's in the dish we can usually make a reasonable wild *kitten* guess.
This time of year there are so many social events that involve food; food we are not necessarily offered year round. I believe we should indulge ourselves a little. We just cannot make that indulgence a habit. Enjoy these days. I tried a cookie someone left me this morning. I tried it, it wasn't spectacular, so I threw it away in a napkin. But I will thanks the giver effusively.

Work luncheon today at an oaxacan restaurant that specializes in mole. Looked up their menu and heavy on the carbs so bringing my carb & fat blockers. Babysitting the grandkids this pm, fun with them.

Okay. Time to quickly list some goals!
Just for Friday:
1. Stay in the green and journal every bite (I probably already close to the green and I haven't even eaten supper yet. I'll have to get some activity in to level the playing field a little... *smile*)
2. Drink five full 16 oz bottles of water
3. Begin studying for my first recertification exam.
4. Leave work today at 3:30 if possible
5. Bake at least one bread and one cookie recipe for Christmas tonight
6. Start writing out Christmas cards tonight & addressing envelopes
7. Make out Christmas List, since tomorrow is power-shopping day
8. Learn at least one new thing at work today Done! Learned about using Team Viewer to provide remote support to end users.
9. Complete one new task without asking questions at work today Done: Went through Change Requests to approve or deny. Did research on a couple of projects. Got added to a couple new committees.
10. Either treadmill or Body Groove video tonight, even 20 minutes. Will increase upon this slowly.
11. Begin strength training of some kind. Even if it is only 10 minutes. Will build this up slowly.
12. Perform at least one random act of kindness today
13. Read Simple Abundance book, write in gratitude journal and go to bed at a decent hour so I can get up early and start my day feeling good.4 -

Well, I did not get on here yesterday to post anything. Although I did read through some posts. I am happy to hear everyone is doing well!! (I understand there are some difficulties upon some people but I'm so happy everyone is overcoming their personal difficulties and sticking with JFT!! ) The holiday season is a time for joy, laughter and fun!!
Just a little update: Yesterday was my appt. for the biopsy. Well I went in and they did prep for everything. Then the doctor told me no biopsy was necessary, things have improved on their own!! The prayers and positive vibes worked!! Thank you ALL sooo much!! Even though she didn't biopsy, she scheduled another potential biopsy next appt. So that is a little depressing bc she is keeping this dark, looming cloud over me. Regardless, I'm glad she has my health in her best interest. Since I used to work in the medical field, my doctor is very technical and straight forward. That's good except, I'm pregnant and not as strong emotionally as usual. Therefore, I left the appt yesterday feeling a little down. She still took some superficial samples so I was sore and sad. So I enduldged in some Papa Murphy's Pizza, chocolate and chick-flicks afterwards Not my best day of health!! I rested all day and tried to mentally overcome all the things my doctor said.
So moving forward: I'm giving God this concern! I'm going to refocus on eating healthy and exercising. I also have some exciting things to look forward with in school; the grad. school invite and I have my Senior Research project to work on. I have a very technical paper due mid January so I can get started on that!!
Today I'm not going to put a list together but I am going to work on getting myself ready to start fresh again!! I'm going to manage some household chores, get my office organized, pay some bills, do Prenatal Yoga (this will help me re-center myself!!) and enjoy the company of my family I'll get back to a more technical JFT tomorrow

Hi! My name is Jan. I have been on MFP for 2 years and have lost and regained the same pounds during these two years. I am still down 12 pounds, so I am not working quickly! I follow another thread which I am sure has helped me at least keep the 12 pounds off as we have bonded in our journey.
This morning your thread was highlighted on the Home page, and I felt like Alice who fell down a wonderful rabbit hole! Or up, as you all are so positive and caring. I love the concept of the one day at a time concept being in the foremost! I have followed this principle for years, though doing less well with food! How you each have laid out your goals for the day, and ultimately for life, and seeing it every day just struck such a chord! I just had to try this!!
Just for today:
1. Make goals- doing
2.Log food-doing
3.Drink 8 glasses water-drank 3 so far
4.Walk-need to do!
5.Shop for church lunch

Your journey this year is amazing and so inspirational! When I look at your beginning weight in January of 2017 and where you are now, it is the path I want so bad! Sticking to the basics today because I am picking my granddaughter, Claire, to take her shopping and I'm not going to let anything overshadow this day with her. It's too seldom that I get this opportunity and I plan to be present and enjoy every single second of it!
