8 months in maintenance now.
I still love working out--strength training 3-4x/week, running 3x/week, swimming 1-2x/week.
Going in for skin removal surgery this month, since I have a large quantity around my stomach, butt, and thighs. The dr. said I've gotten rid of as much as I can through diet and exercise. He estimates 5-8 lbs will come off in skin.

Just amazing, I don't even know what to say. Congratulations!!!:)21 -
Today’s a special day for me so I needed to make a before and after picture. Today 4 years ago is the day I first started using mfp and the day I first started this journey. I lost 35 lb the first year, and then I fell off track for a couple years and gained some back. I’m human. But then this year I kicked it in gear and now have lost 52 lb since this day 4 years ago. To be honest, I think I look younger now than I did 4 years ago.. healthier at least.
You never gave up, be proud of that! This journey is far from easy, congratulations!17 -

So I’m not done or anything, but I’m happy enough with myself that when someone wants to snap an unexpected picture (like my husband did before I worked out today) in the pic on the right - I don’t mind or try to duck.
That is success.

Down 115 lbs since Dec 201598 -
It’s been about 6 months, since I saw a photo of myself that began this journey. I was on vacation and thought that I was totally rocking my black summer dress.
Well, not so much.
I’ve always been an exerciser, but because of a knee and foot injury, in the past year—I hadn’t been working out as much as I’d previously done.
Honestly, though, my poor food choices and unfiltered portions were a big problem.
I’ve been diligently weighing, measuring, and tracking my food. So far, I’ve lost a little over 20 pounds and would like to lose another 5-10 pounds, but I’m not too worried about it. It’ll come off, when it comes off. I workout most days of the week; circuit training, running, walking, hiking, and cross country skiing.
BTW, I’m 5’10” and have been consuming 1600-1850 calories per day along with some exercise calories depending on my hunger level. I definitely CANNOT be hungry. At all.
In my progress photos:
Top right: the picture that horrified me, last July
Bottom right: this morning, in the same dress
Left side: a holiday dress that I wore in December 2017.
