If any of you are struggling to get your times up, try mixing your planks, transition from a 1 minute forearm plank to a side plank for 30 seconds, then the other side for 30 seconds without stopping. You can turn a 1 minute forearm plank into a 2 minute mixed plank by doing just that. My 5 minute planks are just that, mixed. Since I do other core work I generally spend 4 of the five minutes on side planks, but if those aren't easy for you, try other positions. You can even break it down to 15 seconds or 30 seconds per position, whatever works for you. You get the bonus of a more rounded workout this way, and you don't have to hold a single position for terribly long.

I upped mine month after month until I hit 180. That seems to be my max. There are months I can exceed it, but generally it's a tough number to beat especially on the short months! Good work!
