Hi all ... I have been so busy and we were away for the long weekend ... first weekend away with my husband in a long time, and we only had occasional, weak internet access where we were staying.Feb 2016: 470.53 km (292.4 miles) = 40 hours 39 min
Feb 2017: 600.5 km (373.1 miles) = 57 hours 30 min
So for February, I'll go for something in that range ... somewhere between 2016 and 2017. Or maybe more, we'll see how February plays out. Really busy with work and university the first 8 days of Feb, so it's not likely that I'll rack up the big numbers then ... but I've got a bit of a break after that ...
Feb 1 - 7.9 km walking (98 min) + 4 flights of 20 stairs (3 min)
Feb 2 - 3.2 km walking (40 min) + 4 flights of 20 stairs (3 min)

Feb 4 - 29.25 km cycling (90 min)
Feb 5 - 7.3 km walking (90 min) + 5 flights of 20 stairs (4 min)
Feb 6 - 7 km walking (85 min) + 4 flights of 20 stairs (3 min)
Feb 7 - 2.2 km walking (25 min) + 8 flights of 20 stairs (6 min)
Feb 8 - 4.6 km walking (55 min)
Feb 9 - 2 km walking (25 min) + 4 flights of 20 stairs (3 min)
Feb 10 - 4 km walking (50 min)
Feb 11 - 101.57 km cycling (350 min) + 0.8 km walking (10 min)

And also, my husband and I got our medals for the 2017 Audax (timed long distance cycling) season today.
The Cadbury 10K medal is mine from my run on January 14th, but the other three we did together and each received an award.
In the upper right corner is the Nouveau Randonneur (50 km, 100 km and 150 km).
In the lower left corner is the Petit Year Round Randonneur (a minimum of one 100 km ride in each month of the year).
In the lower right corner is the Annual Award indicating 1000 km of Audax events in 2017. And actually, we did 2350 km of Audax events, but the next award is the 2500 km, so we just missed that one.

Hi Ladies,
Cold but sunny here today. Still minimal swelling in my knee, so I think that a walk is in order instead of my circuit training. Joyce, one surefire way to know if your cat has any Maine Coon in him is if he has a capital letter "M" on his forehead. Also, Maine Coons are usually double pawed on both front paws, but not always. They can range anywhere from 15-30 pounds depending on the cat.
Becca- glad hubby is getting the care he needs. Still praying.
Terry- happy birthday. Glad you got to be with your daughter.
Michele- When it's humid, you need more water because you can become dehydrated without realizing it. Tea is good as long as there's no caffeine or sugar in it. Try adding a slice of lemon or lime in your water. Gotta run. BBL.

I was able to watch all the team figure skating in the Olympics thanks to our DVR. I love being able to watch TV on my schedule and in small chunks rather than the way the stuff is broadcast. If I had to watch in in real time, I'd miss all of it.

It's Pancake Day in the UK, so I made some for lunch. I had three small ones. Just with lemon and a tiny sprinkling of sugar. Delicious! I calculated only 250 calories, so I hope I'm right. DH had 5 big ones.
He was ecstatic and said I can make them any time! My bright idea was to have them as lunch, instead of as an extra for tea or dessert.
Going out for my run soon. It's been pouring with rain all morning, but it's just stopped.
Did some typing/editing this morning.Normally it's a yoga day, but it's half term holiday here.
Happy birthday Terri.Love the hair hat!
Janetr - I love your outfit. You look great!
I'm not interfering in my son's decisions as I'm sure he thinks about nothing else. His wife is a strong woman and will have constructive advice, I'm sure. Would love to see them all soon, but not pressurising them. We are booked in for March for Bea's 2nd birthday.
My DDIL has just published her 7th book in a series, "This Book Will Make You Sleep". I will buy it to show my support. My favourite in the series was "This ...... Calm" . She is using CBT techniques to help people. She is a clinical psychologist. And she won't stand for any nonsense from my son. I am just hoping for the best, but I anticipate some hiccups.

Good morning! My name is Ann and I will be 50 this July so thought I would embrace it and join you all here! I've been here at MFP since around 2011 and I lost about 60 pounds total reaching my goal in 2014. Unfortunately due in part to some health issues and in part to just not eating well / exercising as much, I've gained a little back so now that I'm healthy again, I am renewing my efforts to get back on track before it spirals out of control. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.9

Today is my youngest daughter's 42nd birthday. She was born on Friday the 13th and was my parent's 13th grandchild. She always says 13 is her lucky number. So now my girls are 42 and 43. No wonder I feel old and achy. Lol
Off to the dentist to get permanent crown on the tooth that broke a couple of weeks ago. I hate the dentist, ugh.
Thanks ladies for your kind words on my picture and boots.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Looks like a chilly but beautiful day here in PA. I hope to get my dog out for a walk this morning.
Exermom. I grew up in Northern Jersey too. Morris county.

hello ladies! I would love to join :-). my name is jeri lynn (you can call me jl), I am 54 yo and about 30 lb overweight. Ack! I am the proud momma of 10 year old twin boys and I live in so cali.
I have worked out regularly my entire adult life, usually 4 to 5 hours/wk. however, I recently went back to work full-time for the first time in a decade, so finding the time and fighting the exhaustion have become an issue for the first time ever.
my biggest struggle has always been food though. I had an crazy metabolism till I was 30 & never had a problem. but now I seem to eat in response to every emotion and thought. the struggle is real, lol! good nutrition has actually always been important to me so none of this is from eating junk. But it's definitely from eating too much!
I've been reading and listening to Geneen Roth lately and I find that helpful. Also I am starting a weight loss / workout class at the YMCA next month and I really look forward to the group dynamic. that is why I was happy to find all of you as well!
I just wanted to say hello. Thank you in advance for the motivation and inspiration! We can do this! We are women, hear us roar!

I am up, even with meletonin, didn't sleep well..Another day in court today, with me losing money every time I go, and having to use my vacation time, will get over to the court by 8:30 so that I can sign in as soon as we get to the 4th floor.let me tell you if his attorney doesn't show this time.I will ask that the attorney be held in contempt of court..
And then there is my dads estate, trying to not get ahead of myself ,but worry how im going to take care of it all..I will put it in Gods hands..
Allie ... my situations are much different, of course ... but this morning, while sitting on the edge of my bed, I was overwhelmed with how I was going to take care of it all. And then I watched this little clip on Facebook where a modern day shepherd was explaining how he would have to take one of his sheep's newborn lambs and take care of it (there were twins) because momma had rejected it. Used this analogy about how another shepherd would take care of us. I cried. And then I put it all in God's hands too. Hugs to you.9 -
Know your all in my pocket..my stomach is churning ,and my attorney is here with her hands full she has 4 cases today..and who knows if his attorney will be here... ughhhh.8

Carol - How is your son doing at the moment? Do you think they have any idea how much we care?
I did my run! :drinker: It was still drizzling a tiny bit, but held off. Luckily the puddles were all on the other side of the road when the cars drove past me.Most cars go slowly through the lanes, but you do get the occasional idiot.
DH is due to go walking with his cricket friend on Thursday, but they are having trouble finding a route that isn't waterlogged. They may settle for just meeting up for a pub lunch without the walk. No fun getting bogged down.
Hungry now. My afternoon snack is half an avocado and a slice of smoked salmon. Double yum!

Heather: My son has kept his sobriety for almost 6 months. He struggles with anxiety and depression. A lot is due to the fact that he was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder and a couple of learning disorders at an early age which made school so difficult. He has become a fine man who loves his family and is terrified of losing them. I hope your son will be able to keep his sobriety. Mine also works in the restaurant industry and has since he was a teenager.4

CarolBroomfield: Welcome to a great group of supportive women! We have a number of members who are from the UK. :flowerforyou:
Mary: Bugs!!! Yuck!!!! :grumble:
Barbara: I agree with you about the danger of Ouija Boards. They can turn into a compulsion for some people. :noway: Regarding weight loss, I love the MFP system. It starts you out with a higher calorie allowance and reduces it gradually as the pounds slip away. Once you've reached your goal, it increases your calorie allowance to a maintenance level. It has been brilliant for me. I'll admit it isn't speedy, but speedy weight change is not good for a person's health. :flowerforyou:
Lisa in NC: I am a big fan of Rori, too. She once helped me navigate through the Denver Airport and get to my flight. I am forever grateful. She is a wonderful friend.
Okie in TX Hill Country: Congratulations on your vacation loss!!! :flowerforyou:
Allie: I hope everyone shows for the court appointment today. :grumble:
Rye: I feed hummingbirds year round. I bring the feeders in regularly to wash them and refill them. Many hummingbirds are migratory and visit a particular location at certain times of the year. Our Annas Hummingbirds are not migratory. They live here year round. We also get Rufous Hummingbirds in the summer. They are migratory.
Machka: Congratulations for your cycling medals. WTG!!!
Ann & Jeri Lynn: Welcome! :flowerforyou:
(((Heather))) I'm sending good thoughts for your son to succeed at staying sober and keeping his family strong.:flowerforyou:
Janetr OKC: I hope your visit to the dentist is positive and solves your problem. We have a great dentist and your post makes me wonder whether we should be scheduling appointments to see him. :ohwell:
I got a reminder from my doctor that I need some vaccinations and also to get my annual colon screening done. I'll get right on it. :ohwell:
We have been having the devil's own time getting Amazon deliveries. I went online and think I know why. Google redid its maps and screwed up royally in our neighborhood. If Amazon drivers are trying to use google maps to find us, it is no wonder they're totally messing up!
