Unable to lose weight with calorie deficit

Thousands and thousands of people are going to loose weight counting calories and thousands and thousands are going to gain all that weight back!! And keep telling yourself that fat doesn’t make you fat!! You like hearing good things about your bad habits!!
People gain weight back because they don't understand and/or adhere to the energy balance required to maintain their new lower weight. Fat is one of three essential micronutrients, and what's wrong with eating things like avocado, nuts, and other sources of healthy fats - since you seem to be following a plant based diet? I can't imagine how hard it would be to stay regular and have healthy skin and hair without a minimum amount of fat in one's diet.6 -
I didn’t say no fat!! How much fat do you think that you need!! It’s way below what Americans eat!!! That’s why we’re the fattest unhealthist country in the world!!! And I wouldn’t take any advice from anyone that ever had a weight problem!! Why did they gain weight!! They weren’t born that way!! Their parents fed them an unhealthy diet that they continue till today!! I’ve never had a weight problem!! I don’t consume any animal products!! Haven’t since I was 20 my wife I’d also Vegan!! Even after 2 kids and 25 years later she has not ever gained more then 5 lbs except of course when she was carrying. And that was water weight!41

So people should only take weight loss advice from people who have never had to lose weight?
And there aren't any overweight vegans?11 -

You said "fat makes you fat." We said "no, it doesn't."
What's with all the exclamation points?15 -

OP, I'm assuming you have your loss set at 1 lb/week. That might be a bit too aggressive, especially if you are struggling with eating the 1300.
Perhaps set your loss goal to 1/2 lb per week and make sure you are eating back some of those exercise calories! It might take a bit longer to lose, but you won't feel as cranky doing it.

You keep speaking in generalizations as if people who are advocating eating all things in moderation are saying to eat unlimited fat. That's a straw man argument, no one is saying that. What people are saying is that weight loss comes from a calorie deficit, weight gain comes from a calorie surplus - and there are lots of different ways to achieve both the calorie deficit and the calorie surplus. That includes eating a WFPB diet - entirely possible to gain weight as a Vegan, entirely possible to lose weight and keep it off eating animal products and "junk" food in moderation.
Not taking weight loss advice from someone who has never been overweight and never had to lose weight is just silly. That's exactly the kind of person I would want to take advice from - since they've been through the process of losing...15 -

What the hell does veganism have to do with any of this?14 -
Watch the salt. That can add a lot of inches and lbs of water if eating high salt.7

The people that have weight problems have been taking advice from the wrong people their whole lives!! Their diets have been flawed listening to people that have read an article or went to a weight management or weight loss clinic!! And their suffering always trying to loose weight by starving themselves!! An animal in the wild doesn’t do that and doesn’t count calories and doesn’t get fat!! They eat the diet they were meant to eat!! The meat and dairy industry has convinced you that you need to consume animals! You don’t!! But go ahead and worry about your weight ! You’ll always be fighting to keep from getting fat and sick!! Vegans that
eat a whole food low fat diet ! Not a vegan who mock meats and processed oils ! Will not get fat!! I’ve never seen one!!30 -
Humans were "meant" to be omnivores.9

1. Yeah, because they have to run down their food... Or run away from the guy who wants to eat them. And in what imaginary world do you live in where animals don't eat animals in the wild?
2. LOL, I bet Jane has.7 -
The people that have weight problems have been taking advice from the wrong people their whole lives!! How do you know this? You've talked with every overweight person ever?
Their diets have been flawed listening to people that have read an article or went to a weight management or weight loss clinic!! People can be overweight and eat "healthy" stuff.
And their suffering always trying to loose weight by starving themselves!! Again, you've talked with everyone who has ever tried a diet?
An animal in the wild doesn’t do that and doesn’t count calories and doesn’t get fat!! Yeah, fighting for survival will do that to ya.
They eat the diet they were meant to eat!! Which isn't vegan.
The meat and dairy industry has convinced you that you need to consume animals! Seriously?!?
You don’t!! You're right, I don't. But, mmmmm, steak!
But go ahead and worry about your weight ! I don't worry about my weight. I understand CICO and know exactly what I need to do to maintain the weight I prefer.
You’ll always be fighting to keep from getting fat and sick!! No, I won't.
Vegans that
eat a whole food low fat diet ! What?!?
Not a vegan who mock meats and processed oils ! Will not get fat!! I’ve never seen one!! You've seen every vegan ever?
You aren't convincing anyone. Science does not agree with your statements.
If you prefer a vegan lifestyle, that is fine. But it isn't for everyone, and it has nothing to do with weight loss.
Question: Do you believe calories are made-up? Just checking.

There's too few capital letters/mentions of Morgan Freeman to believe that3 -

Omnivores in the sense that they have a wide variety of foods to choose from which they can sustain themselves on, sure. Omnivore in the sense that they have to eat every food they can possibly survive on, not so much.

OP I use Rudolph's sandwich bread and all the slices LOOK the same. On the package it says 110cal/40g slice. I challenge myself to find one less than 60g... more often they're 65g. That's 1.5x the calories for ONE slice. You need a food scale end of story7
