Cheri and Heather, sounds like the house hunting is going really well for both of you. Even though we are 3+ years away from thinking about moving, I've started to just look around. of course it will all be determined by what we can get for ours. Don't have a clue what that amount would be. It is fun to look though.
Plucking...I have the occasional hair that I have to pluck.

Eyebrows— never pluck mine. Had them waxed for my 3 kids wedding, otherwise nope!

Eyebrows- I have had them waxed and threaded. I am never satisfied with how they do them, though. I'd rather keep the $15 and do it myself; which I usually do. I plucked more way back when I was single. I followed my natural brow line and just plucked the strays. I pluck whenever I have tweezers in my hand for those "granny hairs" on my chin. AND like Peach, I am always on the look out for those rogue gray hairs that pop up in my eyebrows once in a while! WHICH...reminds me...my grandpa had ear hairs! Literally whiskery hairs growing out of his ears! Is that hereditary?!
Home sales/offers- Yea for Cheri and Heather! Fingers crossed for both of you!
Yes, licensing showed up this morning! All went well. She wrote me up for having "spaces" in my child information cards not filled in. It was stuff like allergies (parent didn't write "none" for when the child has no allergies) and for not having the "latest" batch of information cards (I guess, the state re-formats them every year; our tax dollars hard at work). What ev. She said I had one of the cleanest and most organized childcare homes she has been in. Yea, me! Anyway, two easy fixes. The kids were a little p.o.'d when I told them our walk would have to wait until after nap time. (Licensing showed up as we were headed out the door; so it was a little chaotic when she got here. Lots of toddlers crying. lol
whoops! 2:30 already! Time to start waking kids up for our walk! ttfn xoxoxo KJ7 -
Kelly ~ Congrats! We all know you have the best child care service a parent could want.6

Hi all: Welcome to all those who are new. Congratulations to the house hunters, sounds like things are going well.
No, I do not pluck eyebrows but probably should do. It hurts though.
DH is still dragging his feet with the PT. It has been 10 weeks since surgery and even with complications with skin breakdown he should still be doing much better than he is. He refuses to do his exercises unless directly supervised by a PT so has very little function. He sees the surgeon this week and PT is recommending manipulation. Will be interesting to see what the doctor says. I am beginning to get tired and cranky with his attitude of "it hurts, I can't".
The puppy is also keeping me busy. She is a doll and growing fast. She goes like crazy for a while and then just crashes. I think I will be glad when we get through this chewing stage. Right now she wants to chew on anything and everything.
KJ - We knew you would pass with flying colors. How could you not?

Ladies - I've been having too much fun with Facebook this morning. There's a link which pulls a photo from your Facebook photos and does a computerized makeover - it's called the "Let's Give you a Hollywood Makeover".
It made me look about 20. Straightened my nose, erased my double chin and saggy jowls, gave me a brow lift, added lots of foundation, eye makeup, you name it. I joke that I now have a 20 year old head on a 66 year old body!
If you want to give it a try, here's the link: http://en.quizzstar.com/
FAIR WARNING: I know these types of links are how computer viruses are spread. I took and chance and so far nothing nasty has popped up. You may want to make sure your files are backed up. Just sayin'....

Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD,
Oh nooooo! Men's bathrooms are awful! I get baby wipes free from the food banks, so I make my husband clean his own throne! Also, its frustrating because he has broken the plastic parts that connect the seat to the toilet. Too much sitting, and moving to do his business! Every once in awhile I attack it. I get around the tabs, clean the connector metal pipes, and around the back. He has enough connectors to keep it on there, but sheesh! We will have to buy a new throne seat and lid when we move, but not high on my priority list! I have taken over the smaller bathroom Owain used. So what does my husband do? He uses MY bathroom!!!! No, no its my throne!! So of course, my connectors are getting loose now! Grrrr.

Rye, I always had very few eyebrows, what was there were very very light blonde so about 8 years ago I got "permanent eyebrows and eyeliner" done. More or less tatoo. I have loved loved it but now that I have gotten this age Black not white or gray but black wild sticking out eyebrows grow in. I pluck them regularly.

Happy Monday everyone! I will start my post off with "happy dogs encased in farm animals". Can't you just feel the love!
Today I emptied the vacuum canister as I put the vacuum away! Hold the presses!!! Next time the vacuum itch strikes, I will have a clean, empty vacuum to work with. I only did it because my husband razzed me about it! I'll show him! And......his manipulation works again.....darn it!
Today is eat like a hippie day! Going to warm up one of my spinach nests, with rice and chop some cucumbers and a blob of cottage cheese! Maybe sprinkle it with walnuts! Can you just feel me channeling Yule Gibbons!!!??
Have a great day! We shall be victorious!

Hello my dear friends,
Saturday night our Women of the Moose hosted a Jailhouse Rock Dinner dance as a fundraiser. It was very successful and everyone had a great time. I was miffed because only 4 of us showed up to decorate which meant it took longer than it could have. Luckily many stayed to help take the decorations down which was good because I was tired by then. Tonight is Nominating Committee meeting and then not as much for the rest of the week until the Garage Sale on Saturday. Next week is the State Convention and it's always fun. There are two more dinner/dances in March and then our year winds down.
I am still not responding to individuals as I read and skip so much to keep up. Congrats on the victories, good luck on the projects and challenges and (((Hugs))) to those needing and wanting it.
to all the Newbies. Come often and join in the chat. This thing works!! Please sign your post with what you want to be called. It makes it easier for us to respond to you. Also a location is great, be it specific or general. We are happy to have you join us.
Sending love, good thoughts and sunshine to all of you.
I Love you
This was our jail. Someone had to bail us out for $1.00 which went to the charity. For those that don't know me, I' the one with the Que Tip topper. (White hair)

Home again! And we escaped the snow - just a few flurries as we outran it home.
They rejected our offer so we've upped it. Their agent is going to check tomorrow with our agent on the firmness of our buyers and their buyers and then we hope to hear back from the vendors.
We really, really, REALLY want that house. Janetr - No private parking, but there is a sort of shared drive for emergencies with tiny garage/shed round the corner. You have to get a parking permit and each occupier is allowed 50 guest permits per year. Restrictions are 10-11 am and 7-8 pm. This is to stop commuters and theatre goers parking. Will be busy in the summer, but I think it will be OK. Otherwise we love it. I sooooooo hope they accept our offer. The promenade and the sea is at the end of the road.
Hope I sleep tonight.
Cheri - sounds as if yours is going OK. Excited for you.
The grandchildren were in great form. We played, sat with them over tea, tv half hour and bath, bedtime story. I talked to my son about alcohol. He is doing well. Discovering lots of delicious AF drinks. He is going to try moderate drinking again in 2 months time. He cooked us delicious Bratwurst with couscous salad and broccoli.
Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxx

LisaInNCNow wrote: »Rye - it's so funny you'd ask that, my daughter just went for her monthly eyebrow waxing, and I'd honestly rather eat dirt than have someone put hot wax near my eyeballs! I pluck mine semi-regularly, that being every six to eight weeks, but they don't grow terribly fast, and the older I get, the less they seem to grow.

I haven't had my eyebrows waxed since I moved to Oregon because it's a different license here, and I'm too lazy to go to two different people. But I did it a lot when I lived in Kansas. I remember my youngest sitting on my lap and watching them do it one time, and he was so confused. "Doesn't that hurt??" The hairdresser responded, "Yep! The cost of beauty." (Or something like that.)
I've just been plucking myself, and it doesn't look as good.
