round 36 – 195lbs no change.
Round 37 goal – if I manage to maintain 195 I will be happy. I will be celebrating birthweek.
4/8 – 194lbs. 700 calories under food goal.
4/9 – 195lbs – still good considering its Monday. Birthday party tonight at local pub that cooks a mean bacon, ham, cheeseburger and the best fried mushrooms. Better have a skip lunch to have room for the 1300 calorie dinner
4/10 195lbs – I so wanted the steak buffet. Oh well the wife promised this weekend when kids might be able to make it. Had awesome 1600 calorie burger and mushrooms. Then did cardio for over an hour. Way to many birthday cocktails.
4/11 – 196lbs up 1 pound. I think it’s the snacks late last night at Spanish class.

Date - Weight - Update
4/8 (Sun) - 189.6 - Saturday was pretty lazy. Hit the gym, but started cleaning out the fridge by eating through most of my leftovers, so I'm honestly surprised I lost weight as of Sunday morning.
4/9 (Mon) - 189.4 - Sunday was my cleaning day. Didn't track my meals too well, so I'm proud of myself for staying healthy. Workout this afternoon - about 600 cals.
4/10 (Tues) - 187.0 - Well, that's a WHOOSH™ if I've ever seen one. Ended up doubling my workout yesterday (1200 cals), so that helped, but definitely wouldn't have killed almost 2.5 lbs. Here's hoping that was just a loss of a bunch of water weight; Exercising in the afternoon - about 500 cals.
4/11 (Wed) - 186.2 - What the heck. It must have been water weight. Or this is a very deceptive WHOOSH™, I like it. Let's keep this momentum going! Changing my goal weight for this round. Was not expecting to hit it quite so soon! GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAL!!!! ; Exercising in the afternoon - about 600 cals.

4/8 - 168.2 - Had a girls night last night and while it was extremely fun, I took in a lot of calories through mixed drinks. I kept my dinner healthy but expecting an increase in tomorrows weigh in. Would love to make my goal for this round as I didn't last round so lots of water starting today, health food chooses and lots of gym time.
4/9 - 170.0 - There's the increase I was expecting to see. Woke up with migraine this morning, hoping it'll be gone by this afternoon so I can hit the gym after work. Feel like I've been stuck around this 167-170 weight forever and starting to feel discouraged but I won't give up, just got to keep myself motivated.
4/10 - 170.0 - Still have the migraine and not feeling well this morning. Wasn't expecting for a good weigh in this morning but there scale not going up is a win in my book. Wish I could get down to the weight I started round 36 at and never see 170 again. Will work out after work today and hopefully see a good weigh in tomorrow. Healthy packed lunch, lots of water, gym and healthy home cooked meal for dinner tonight is the plan.
4/11 - 169.0 - Glad to see the scale going in the right direction. Had a very busy day yesterday but was able to still eat healthy and fit in some time at the gym. Work hours are changing for today because of some meetings so will need to figure out when I can fit in some exercise today so I can keep on track for the next few days and make my goal for this round.

4/10- 307.6 (-4.0) (likely this is water weight gain and now loss going into the start on 4/8 for this round -- trying to focus on being under 300 as my next mini goal on the long journey to one-derland. Long journey but day by day and 10 days by 10 days)
4/11- 306.0 (-5.6) (amazing what a little tracking and cardio can do. I'm sure this is still losing water weight from a run up to 311 but I'll take it for sure (or my scale is broken). Feels good to be in sight of 299. More tracking today.)

4/8 - 180.0 I always fluctuate a little bit, but as long as I'm fluctuating in this range, I'm happy!
4/9 - 179.4 Couldn't sleep, so I did my weigh in at 3:40 am
4/10 - 180.0 I'm fighting off a cold, and I tend to overeat comfort food (aka junk) when I'm sick. I'm really trying not to go down that path this time around. I was about 170 cals over yesterday, which I'm okay with. Also ate way too much sodium (chicken noodle soup) so feel bloated today. Just trying to fight off this cold because I don't want to use my PTO on sick days!
4/11 - 179.4 Still not feeling great--might be the seasonal allergies I was recently diagnosed with, ugh. I haven't exercised for a couple of days but I will be going to my second pilates class tonight after work.

Goal: Release 2 lbs per round to reach onederland by Memorial Day weekend.
Ultimate Goal: 175 lbs, reevaluate at that point
April:
8: 211.2... Back to reinforcing neurological pathways that lead to my optimum health. Glad to see a drop from yesterday! Hoping for another tomorrow. I'm essentially still on track to reach my Memorial Day weekend goal, so that feels good.
9: 210.2... Losing water weight. Hopefully, this trend will continue until I'm pretty close to my R35 EW, so I can keep moving on my journey to onederland!
10: 209.1... Keeping it going! Ate at Texas Roadhouse upon request of my teenage daughter who hasn't been able to eat an actual meal in over a week because she had her wisdom teeth removed. I ordered their Portobello Chicken meal and brought half of it home. I did splurge on fried pickles, but my calories are good for the day. Macros are a bit off and sodium is high, but I don't think it'll have much of an affect because it was all in moderation.
11: 210.4... Well, more of a jump than I expected, but it's all water weight. Drinking extra water today, and I'm still feeling quite optimistic for this round. For several days, I've been able to cinch my belt down to the smallest notch...sometimes more comfortably than others. This morning, I decided to try on a smaller pair of my jeans, and they fit! I don't even mean they fit tightly and I need to wear them for a few hours so they'll be comfortable. They just actually fit!

4/8- 131.8- lowest I've weighed in in a while! Ran 8 miles, helped in-laws move, and did yard work, so it was a super active day. Meal prepped a smoked salmon quiche for my lunches this week.
4/9- 132.4- not surprised to see this fluctuation despite a healthy, active weekend... it's water-retaining time of the month for me, so I'll be carrying a little extra around until about Saturday
4/10- 132.2- I'm pleased with this. Planning to run four miles at lunch today. Had a work happy hour in the evening and didn't drink anything and just had some hummus and veggies. Avoided the office candy bowl all day!
4/12- 132.4- Not surprised... feeling very bloated, but I know things will normalize soon. I have a meeting at lunch, so I won't be able to work out, but I will squeeze it in after work.

Once more into the fray.... I've decided to start including my average calories for the round with my end weight so I can really get a sense of what works. I do keep my macros pretty steady, but calories fluctuate and the average matters more than daily in my experience. I'm interested to see that although I exceeded my calorie goal during the last round and my weight jumped around a bit, I finished pretty much where I started. So maybe my TDEE is higher than I think and in theory I could eat a little more than I thought and still lose. We shall see. Glad to be back - thanks for being here for support & inspiration!

4/8 - 149.6
After I posted yesterday, I decided to go a step farther for a longer view, so I averaged my daily calories for the past 30 days, during which my weight has been pretty steadily within half a pound of 149.5. Although my daily calories fluctuated from ~1400-2000, the average was 1549, which is 1 cal away from where I have put my TDEE for a while now (with minimal exercise). I really like having this data, and I'm since I do not want to cut my calories any more (metabolism & hunger), I'm happy holding steady here until I do get back to my typical activity level (soon!). It's easy to get wrapped up with the day-to-day and forget that reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is a long-term project - a lifestyle. Don't now if this helps anyone else, but it helps me a lot.
4/9 - 150.8
Eeek! But not a surprise - I had a major blow out yesterday. I knew what I was doing and did it anyway - I've been lusting after a pastry and some other things I don't usually eat, so I did it. And it's fine. Back on the wagon today with healthful food and lots to do.
4/10 - 150
A smidge better. I ate properly yesterday, still fending off my big splurge. Going out for lunch, but I'll be good.
4/11 - 150
Not much to say about this. I've really had the munchies lately. I'm not exceeding my average calories by much, but enough obviously to show up on the scale. OTOH, my sodium was high yesterday, so there's that. Jeans still fit!

03/31: 153.5 Good Friday 3/30 PTO/holiday = lots of food prep & table setting for Easter dinner. Walked dog 3.82 mi 1:03:07. Fitbit 21,646 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 & 62 floors. Net calories -89, sugar -17, sodium / fiber / protein good & 12c water.
3/31 Walked in Badger State Brewing 10K / goal <1:35 / weather forecast rain/snow mix ~ yippee ~ We got everything the weatherman predicted: snowed like crazy at start, then rained, then VERY windy. Race had 160 no-shows. I tried not to think of how squishy my shoes & socks became, and didn't feel cold until the finish, when I realized my gloves & outer clothes were soaking wet. Very happy with my time of 1:30:28.82 ~ that's average pace of 14:35 ~ walking! Fitbit 23,142 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 39 floors.
04/01: 154.0 Easter Sunday ~ not logging food or adult beverages / enjoying church & family at our house for dinner ~ have a blessed Easter!
04/02: 156.0 Expected ~ most certainly high sodium, not sure what else. Rest day / no workout. Fitbit 7,521 steps, 250+ steps 10/14 & 16 floors.
04/03: 154.5 PTO day at home / walked dog 4.15 mi 1:08 & happy dog. Fitbit 14,330 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 & 36 floors. Ate Easter leftovers in moderation / net calories green, sodium & sugar red (not bad), fiber & protein low, and 14c water.
04/04: 155.0 PTO day at home / too much Easter candy. Spring snowstorm & shoveled 4" wet, heavy snow for 1hr ~ that was a real workout! Fitbit 10,812 steps, 250+ steps 7/14 & 47 floors.
04/05: 155.5 Not surprised ~ ate Easter candy and *ahem* retaining some waste. Net calories, sugar & sodium red, fiber & protein both little low & 14c water. Snow/ice on roads so back to treadmill before work / 3 mi 48:05. Fitbit 15,285 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 50 floors.
04/06: 155.5 Net calories & sugar red, sodium green, protein & fiber little low & 15c water. On the bright side, Easter candy is almost gone. Treadmill (started late) before work 2 mi 32:58. Fitbit 13,700 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) & 40 floors.
04/07: 154.5 Finally, net calories & sugar green (not by much) but sodium RED, fiber & protein low, 14c water. Brought leftover lemon bars to work & they disappeared! Also brought dinner leftovers to single co-worker who struggles at times. Made her happy & made my day! Treadmill before work / 3 mi 50:07 / stretched. Fitbit 12,845 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (work intervened) & 37 floors.
04/08: 156.0 Late lunch was fast food including French fries (which hubby and I rarely eat nowadays), then binged on peanut M&Ms in evening ~ ack!!! Even stopped logging b/c counts were so bad. Walked dog 3.77 mi 1:02:50. Fitbit 13,035 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 (tax preparer meeting / drive time) & 27 floors.
04/09: 155.0 Net calories, sodium & sugar red (not too bad), protein good, fiber low (again) & 14c water. Walked dog 3.61 mi 1:02:54. Fitbit 14,819 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 (church + nap time) & 31 floors.
04/10: 154.0 Eating getting back on track ~ net calories -182, sugar -11, sodium green, fiber & protein good (yay!) & 15c water. Rest day / Fitbit 9,841 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 & 33 floors ~ also enrolled in the Wellness Step by Step Challenge at work (4/16 - 8/31) and added ChallengeRunner app to my phone ~ excited to do this!
04/11: 154.0 Net calories -92, sugar -10 (mostly fruit, yogurt, power muffin), sodium RED, fiber & protein good (2 days in a row!) & 11c water. Treadmill before work / 3 mi 48:35 / stretched. Fitbit 13,037 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 (noon meeting) & 56 floors.

Round 37 = Goal = Maintain 125-130. Going on a significant trip 4/12-4/24, away from scale and kitchen and kitchen scale and likely, some of the time, internet. Will be an emotional trip too, I can guarantee. So just hoping and praying I can be sensible, in every way, not just about food.
4/8 - 127.2 - under maintenance yesterday and 10K steps. Have not done any regular exercise in a week apart from some walking-grade aerobics.
4/9 - 127.0 - yesterday high on emo and calories, low on steps, and a new low weight today. Maybe excess cortisol burns calories my fitbit can't detect. JK, I know this is just a bounce waiting to happen.
4/10 - 126.8 - yesterday under maintenance calories, 13K steps, 2 mile run.
4/11 - 127.0 - yesterday just over maintenance calories, but 10K steps and some planks. Can't believe this new "right around 127" weight is really a thing, but it looks like this week it is!

R37 goals - To stay on track - hopefully home this week - been away too much recently. Harder than normal as kids still off on Easter holidays this week so work days and hours all over the place. Would like to be back down to 137-ish by the end of this round.
4/8 - DNW - unplanned night away again
4/9 - 139.60 +0.40lb - usual "slightly up" Monday morning post Sunday roast dinner - but on a plus note my Monday highs are a lot lower than they used to be At work all day today so all food prepped and planned and will be easy to drink plenty of water but not home till late so exercise opportunities are nil for today other than a quick lunchtime walk if the rain stops!
4/10 - 140.00 + .40lb ???? Woke up feeling very bloated this morning - food was all good yesterday and in maintenance calories. Having been away for 7 nights over the last 10 and in a car for two days, I needed a day to refuel my body with plenty of water, good food and re-set. That mission was achieved but did have a wholemeal pitta last night with dinner so quite carb heavy for me so can only think its that along with my upped water intake? Pretty sure this is a temporary "gain" though so not too bothered - plenty of water today, gym tonight and hope the bloat will go sooner rather than later as have an end of round target of 137lb..... weight not moved much in the last month just up and down, up and down .....
4/11 - 138.80 down 1.2lb which is good but so massively bloated yesterday only had light lunch and I didn't eat my normal size dinner. Still feel rubbish today so going easy on the whole eating thing but not really feeling that hungry anyway. Possibly pay back for a week away in hotels and eating out ....Off work today and rest of the week so hoping a day taking it easy will get me back to normal

4/8 (Sunday) - 212.4
4/9 (Monday) - 211.6 (209lbs 3 hours later? This was not a fluke. I weighed myself 2 more times afterwards.)
4/10 (Tuesday) - 211.4 - Ahh, but today.... whatever. Keep calm and keto on? Yep. It has been almost 3 weeks since I've had a full gallon of water or close to it each day. I know that is the culprit. I usually have no problem drinking water and can easily drink a gallon a day, but I also occasionally have a brief period of not being able to drink past 60 to 64 ounces in a day. Don't know what that is about.
4/11 (Wednesday) - 210 - Apparently, the water within me loves to tease. This morning 4 different weigh ins, 1 minute apart, my readings were, 203 (yeah, that was first, I had to laugh), 206, 210 and 210.4. so, I averaged them and came up with 207.4. That could be my weight, but I'm going with 210.

4/8 -- 201.2
4/9 -- 201.0 mostly on plan today. I adjusted my expectations from 1200 calories per day to 1370 -- I just wasn't able to make it on a consistent basis. I'd prefer to lose slower and set lifestyle habits for myself than potentially lose faster but with a plan I can't sustain.
4/10 -- 200.6
4/11 -- 198.6 I like this whoosh! Ironically I'm finding it a lot easier to stay under 1200 calories when I allow myself a daily limit of 1370. Whatever tricks my brain wants to use are fine with me.

This is Round 10 for me. I had a rough end of Round 9, but there are things to look forward to. I'm officially going to start a keto WOE on Monday, 4/16, and I'm going to work on cutting down my carbs significantly before then (to get myself in the mood).

Day/Weight/Comment
4/8 = 207.0 (-0.4). Played basketball yesterday, but had parents over and took them out to dinner to my favorite Mexican place. At least weight is heading in the proper direction.
4/9 = 205.4 (-1.6). BOUNCE BACK™. I had a good day eating yesterday, topped off by my favorite salad from a relatively healthy restaurant. Went grocery shopping for the week and tried to look around for some easy ready-made stuff that will work in a pinch when I start keto next week, and was able to find a couple of things (which was nice). My wife and I started our SL 5x5 last night, and I only wanted to spank her once or twice as she argued with me regarding a program I have done extensive research on (and that she knows NOTHING about). We got through it. I'm really happy to see my weight headed back down relatively quickly. As much as I know big spikes in weight are very temporary (as long as I'm being accountable and generally staying the course), it still sometimes feels traumatizing to see them. I'm going to begin to cut down on my carbs and stay away from all sweets this week (except my birthday on Saturday) in preparation for my new lifestyle.
4/10 = 204.2 (-1.2). Another BOUNCE BACK™. After freaking out 3 days ago (gaining 5 lbs in 2 days), it's nice to have again the experience of noticing things going back to normal as the days pass. Just about down to my SW from last round, and I couldn't ask for anything more at this point. I ate pretty well yesterday (slightly under maintenance), but I had a sugar binge (500 calories or so). I'm officially throwing out my remaining candy when I get home tonight. It's the Devil. I'll have a bit of my birthday cake on Saturday, but that's it for sweets for the foreseeable future. I need to figure out some Keto stuff on the subject of sweets (whether to subtract from total carbs fiber and sugar alcohols), but I think I'm generally just going to avoid them at this point, unless I learn something amazing. I need to get my taxes done, and I have some things from work that I need to accomplish at home, so I'm going to focus on that for the next couple of days (at the expense of exercise). I'll get back to the exercise on Thursday (SL 5x5 and my normal basketball night).
4/11 = 202.6 (-1.6). ANOTHER BOUNCE BACK™! This is just getting silly now, but I love it. And if I'm being honest and objective about this, what's happening right now fits a clear pattern that's been well-established by me and others here. For me - one bad meal takes 4-5 days to recover from. 4 days later, I'm just about recovered. Yesterday was great eating-wise. I was under calories, and no sugar binge. Taxes just about done. Basketball tomorrow, plus day 2 of SL 5x5. I miss exercise.
