I have a sticker that says, "If knitting were exercise, you could bounce a quarter off my *kitten*." I'd be in amazing shape.
Hahahahaha!
Got a new NSV today, too. I was going to bed last night, and I realized all my dress pants were dirty.
Threw them in the washer, promised myself I would get up early to throw them in the dryer ... and woke up late! I was so mad at myself! I put everything in the dryer, thinking I would wearing slightly damp clothes (the worst) so I wouldn't be late to work.
But while I was waiting, I decided to try on a smaller pair I had that was way too tight to wear in public two months ago. Not only did they fit, they were loose! I had to wear my belt, and what started as a crappy, hectic morning turned into a great one!37 -
I've spent the past two days in seminars for work, meaning a lot of sitting and little walking, hotel lunches, and boring topics (I mean, some folks can get excited about auditing, but I'd rather be out counting steps). Anyway, two NSVs:
1- because Monday was my birthday, I allowed myself a brownie with lunch. ONE brownie! And not the biggest brownie on the tray either. And didn't feel the least bit guilty (I'm 3 lbs from goal).
2- after getting home yesterday, there was still daylight left, so I went for a 2.5 miles walk before supper.25 -
I did 4 pull-ups with 25 pounds added to the weight belt!!!29

When I talk with my hands (which I do a lot), I can feel my wedding ring move around on my finger. My knuckles are slightly swollen from arthritis, so it isn't going to easily slip off but the moving around on my finger is a new thing.
BTW, related to that visual of what 5 lbs of fat looks like, my favorite visualization was at 48 lbs down (I am maintaining at 63 down). To get the effect of what it was like to walk around before the weight loss, I would have had to carry around a case of butter under each arm all day long.9 -

You're a beast.
I've been working on my pull ups all winter and have been trying to figure when a good time is to add weight, I have an adjustable weight vest. This gives me inspiration.6 -

Once I could do eight in one set, my trainer started adding weighted sets now and then.4 -

Met a colleague today, we speak often on the phone, but it’s two years since we met, his first words to me were “wow, you look amazing”

Adding 16:8 intermittent fasting to my low carb diet is making a difference. I'm diabetic, so that is more of a concern for me than weight. I'm getting blood sugar readings under 100 mg/dL. every week my average readings are going down by about 5mg/dL. soon I will be consistently in "Normal" range.15

Today I had two people tell me that I had lost a lot of weight.16

I got new uniforms for work (size 10 instead of size 18) and people have been constantly commenting on how good I am looking and asking if I have lost weight. In the old saggy, baggy uniforms it was hard to see the newer, smaller me.19

Well, a few weekends ago I went hiking and when I put my favorite pair of pants on over my thermal leggings (hazards of hiking in Wisconsin in February) they were a bit loose. Didn't seem too bad and I was happy at the sign of weight loss. I got ready as usual. Well, unfortunately (fortunately?!) they were far looser than I thought and kept sliding right off my bum withing minutes of getting on the trail! I ended up having to use my emergency para-cord bracelet as a makeshift belt because there was no way I was getting through that 13.2 mile hike with those pants!
If only I could afford new REI hiking pants!
I just got a dress professionally taken in - can you do that?5 -

So, @RoxieDawn, what's the verdict?!?4 -
I'm 68, and have tried Zumba -- the "Gold" (polite word for geezer) version -- a few times. I noticed a class close to me, but it was just plain old Zumba. Was a little nervous about it, but went last night and sailed through it. I was sweaty, and it was a good workout, but not overly tough. I kept up just fine. In fact, I was doing a lot better than a couple of people who were easily 20-30 years younger than I am and who were very overweight. When I was 85 lbs heavier there would have been no way I could've gotten through 15 minutes of Zumba.35

More people telling me I've lost weight - some others just looking the other way which is a little funny too!10

It's 8:30 AM and four people have commented on how much energy I have.
One person said, "You are over 40 and you literally JUMP out of your chair at 8 in the morning?"
I annoy them, I'm sure. But still! That's pretty cool.25 -

Awesome! Same here!! Way to go!10 -
Went to Kohl’s this morning and bought a pair of size 8p jeans! Same brand I always wear, I started in a tight-ish size 12p. They zipped right up, no flab push up or anything:). I haven’t worn anything less than a 10 since high school.19

I have lunch duty every single day--longest hour of my day! It's an elementary school and kids often bring birthday treats for their class. I am almost always offered a cupcake, brownie, ice cream bar, etc. Today the cupcakes were especially appealing but I had already logged my food for the day and I actually passed on it!!! (I did, however, lick the icing off my fingers after I helped pass them out!!!)23

went to look for new jeans at lunch today as my size 22/24's are way too big... found a size 20 that fit perfectly in all the right places. My 2XL shirts are also getting entirely too baggy and found a cute sweater that is an XL ..this makes me feel better about my 4.2 lb loss for the month and realize that I tend to loose inches before pounds32

I bought size 2 jean shorts at Target today. Granted, they are super stretch and the vanity sizing there is CRAZY, but stilll... 2!18

I was selected as a finalist as an inspiring transformation in a competition where 900 people registered! Four of us got chosen for this! Soooo excited!
Wish I could share the link without being spammy. Ah well. Either way it's a great Non-Scale Victory/feeling!30 -

On behalf of @JuliBiGoolee why did this get flagged? I once got flagged for answering this question too. What gives? Do people think that flags are like bookmarks or is something more cynical happening?
I've been wondering the same. As I read through this thread, anytime someone asks or answers that particular question, someone flags it. I have no idea why, since nobody can expect people to read through almost 1100 pages to search for the answer to that question somewhere in there!9 -
Off I go to work.....in jeans, t-shirt tucked in, and a belt. And it looks okay. Yes, I have a loose cardigan on too, but MY SHIRT IS TUCKED IN!!!!!!29

Just had to let go of my jeans today, finally. I can officially take them off without even unbuttoning or unzipping them. Time to go shopping.15
