I saw a picture of myself from yesterday...still a a few extra pounds, but NOT a fat *kitten* anymore.23

I've managed to log every day for 2 weeks note and this week I was under my calories for all but 1 day
I team 1.3 miles without stopping to walk which is the furthest I've ever done
I'm hoping I can keep up with logging this week when I go back to work after the Easter holiday as I'll be busier

So I’ve been slowly purging my closet removing some cloths that are big. I just got rid of 80% of my skirts. Some of them still had tags and some I had already altered them to fit me but now they are all big. I’ve had these skirts for over half a decade. The few that are left have also been altered to fit me. I’m still amazed at the fact that I’m capable of losing weight. I had given up on the idea. I assumed I wasn’t meant to be small since I’ve been big since age 11 and now it’s actually happening. If I knew weight loss was a straightforward CICO math problem in my 20’s, that doesn’t require any expenses and or dieting/food restrictions I would’ve done this a long time ago. Also it’s really important to take measurements, routinely try on some old clothes to track progress and not just focus primarily on the scale. My rate of loss has slowed since I’m 3-4 pounds away from a normal BMI but I’m still losing inches.29

I only lost 2 kg so far but this new amount of energy I have is amazing! It could also be spring and the sunlight that helps but I am very happy about it. My back and hips ache so much less and my trousers are not too tight anymore even though I haven't added sports yet. I am counting the motivation and this overall positive feeling as a very important NSV.20

Haven't kept up with this thread much, but figured I'd share that I won my age group in a 25k trail race this weekend. I don't suck.52

I was testing my 1RMs this week and was happy that I easily squatted ten pounds more than my body weight! Less than a week to go before my first powerlifting comp and I'm about as ready as I can be.
I had hoped to lift heavier, am still worried that I'll look like a fool lifting so light (compared to others there)... But... It's a start, right?
And there's only one other lady in my weight class, so as long as I hit one of each lift, I'll come out with a solid second place! Haha19 -
The other day I was able to squat down to look into the bottom cabinet without my knees hurting. First time in years.25
-
Blood pressure down from 177/102 to 150/90 (still a bit high, but my Dr will be impressed)27

Yes, it is a NSV. I'm no fool. A woman in this business came to my cube and introduced herself.
This was a few minutes ago. My work as "A". Her work is "B". Never the twain will meet for any professional reason.28 -
None of my clothes fit, even my bras. They're all too big!25

I had a terrible day today. Like, feelings I thought were gone bubbled up to the point where I was close to throwing up from the stress. But! I forced myself to go to zumba and said I'd treat myself to a mcdonalds cheeseburger after. Instead, I went home and made myself a healthy dinner. Bonus: the endorphins from my workout have helped me think clearly and made me realise I was being more than a little irrational
All things that never would have happened a year ago.53 -
I've been focused more on strength lately (still at a deficit) and had to bounce back from spring break. My weight hasnt changed much but all but 1 pair of jeans feels very loose!
This is awesome from a weight loss standpoint but a struggle when I think about the cost of new clothes!!17 -
Had to put my bras on the tightest hook. Tried on last year's shorts & capris and they're all a little too loose. I weigh within 2 lb of what I did last May, so it's not a "weight loss" thing (I am in maintenance).
Perhaps the best for me though was last night I went over to my best friend's place to watch something with her and she surprised me with this Oreo dessert that we used to eat like crazy in our twenties. It was cool to have 1/9 of the pan and feel satisfied. We used to split it down the middle every time!25 -
MFP says I now have lost 75% towards my goal weight!!
This is the dress I bought on Saturday to wear to a fancy gala at our wellness company's convention in 2 1/2 weeks.
The best thing is this is a size 14!! I haven't been this size since I was in high school!!52 -

Well done!! I love your dress!7 -
I started tracking again!32

I help with some manual labor and someone said I’m stronger than I look. Although, I’d also like to look strong too lol25

Put on a suit today that I bought in the fall - it was a tight Size 12 then (for total vanity reasons, I refused to buy it in a size 14.) It is now REALLY loose - I probably shouldn't have even worn it today. But I don't have any others -gah!23

Able to go shopping and buy size medium shirts, instead of Large or xLarge - even though small weight loss, working out and "tightening" up is starting to show.25

Both NSV and really annoying thing: I went down a band size in my bras and now I no longer fit into my favorite brand/style. Also, friends noticed my weight loss on IG and commented!20

Yesterday I went shopping with my boyfriend's mother, mostly looking for stuff for her. While we were out I tried on some dresses since I'm on the hunt for a nice summer dress! I was expecting to be size 6-8 in most of them, but all of the ones I tried on I had to go down to size 4. Didn't end up liking any of them and put them back on the rack. As I was leaving another caught my eye that I LOVED. They only had a 6 and a 2 instead of the 4 I thought I needed. Grabbed the 6 to go try on and figured, "eh it's probably not gunna fit but I'll grab the 2 anyway". Tried that one on first and it was perfect!!32

Walked past the mirror and spun around... My singlet is dangling where my armpit boobs were. I swear they've gone down two cup sizes!18

Saw a friend from high school and we went to lunch together - we were talking about where other people ended up and he said "It's funny how the girls who were geeks ended up really beautiful and all the popular people got old badly." Took me a minute to realize he meant me!31

I work on the 5th floor. In the past when the lift was out of order I thought I was going to die climbing those stairs, today I only got slightly out of breath on the top of the last one. And I climbed those stairs voluntarily after going for a lunchtime walk.
Guess my take-the-stairs goal will include the office from now on!24 -
I haven't posted an NSV in a while.. Figured I should. I started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. A few to go with that: 1) I got my husband to join me on these things. 2) Even though we are only 5 week 1 workouts into it, the last workout was so much easier then the 1st. I can get to the end now and not feel like I'm dying.
Also, I can now do ONE proper(ish) pushup..... followed by all wimpy ones. But hey, I'm getting there! lol.20 -
I’m so behind on this thread BUT I ran a half marathon on Saturday!!!! And today I actually enjoyed a trip to the DMV to renew my license first time I’ve had an honest weight listed

Last weekend we went home to celebrate my dads 90th birthday. I hadn’t seen the family since late last year. My brother in law immediately announced—you’ve lost weight!! Made me feel good that it is noticeable!26

I've had mini ones since last I posted, but one of my favorites is NOT being scared to run around or dance naked for fear of the floppy bits. They still flop, but not like before, and my confidence is sky high so I don't mind them a bit =D25

AND you're wearing sparkly nail polish! Extra bonus!14 -
I went to Ross to find some tops today and came back with size smalls?!?!? Like WTF?!?! I’m so excited but wow vanity sizing I’m 5’8 and still overweight and probably going to lose another 30-40lbs but what’s gonna fit me at that point if I’m already in smalls?
Another clothing victory: I’ve been living in yoga pants and at any given point I usually have two sizes on rotation. right now mediums and larges. Yesterday I put on a pair and they were almost saggy so they need to go I thought they were a pair of xl’s hanging around. Nope. Definitely the larges which means the larges need to go so it’s probably time to start stocking smalls.
The idea of small tops is funny. Small bottoms is mind boggling.15
