Sitting outside right now and a raccoon just walked right by me! Howdy neighbor!
I hope all the moms out there got some care from their kids as well as self care! Going to go call my mother now - we agreed to meet tomorrow for lunch instead of going to a crowded restaurant on the day itself. I haven't called earlier because she had a full day planned driving her carriage today.4 -

How are you ladies? I'm still here, taking an extra moment to appreciate life each day of the challenge!
It's getting too warm and buggy to sit outside, so I need to come up with a new treat for myself. Almost 100 degrees today! But despite the heat I am feeling victorious because after ten days of wrestling with the local post office trying to get a registered package redelivered, I filed two online complaint reports with the postal service about both the manager of the post office and my mail carrier. Apparently someone lit a fire under someone because the manager personally hand delivered my package, after the mail carrier once again failed to put it on her truck. There's no evidence that the carrier has seen the error of her ways, but I suspect that having to get in a car and drive across town to do her job won't make her boss too cordial towards her, so hopefully service will be better in the future.
This has been an ongoing problem for years, and the lesson to be learned is, when something is an ongoing source of stress, try new action to put a stop to it, instead of trying the same tactic which has failed every time before. So that's my self care for the day - instead of complaining and regarding the problem as something that was inevitable, I tried something new and fixed the situation.5 -

Love all the ideas, so now I need to take action. This is my 1st day tracking my diet and it was great to see someone promote self-care/mental health. I believe stress is such a bully.5

Worked out after work and then got a delicious veggie juice at a new place that opened. (Carrot, celery and apple pressed - just like my mom used to make growing up)
Took a bubble bath and went for an extra walk in the sunshine.5 -

Bought a new journal and did some writing / drawing. i used to love journaling, but as i got older & busier i just stopped for some reason? tonight i spent a while hour just doodling - no tv in the background or any distractions!6

May 14 - ordered a watercolor-doodling book & it arrived today. Spent 15-20 minutes thumbing through it - lovely!4

Made lunches ahead yesterday evening and had plenty of time this morning to finish morning chores.And could lie in bed a few minutes longer.4

May 15 - took some time to visit some friends today! Got steps in & loved seeing them. Many commented on how good I look, which was fun!
Took a nice walk this evening listening to an interesting podcast — was really disappointed when my phone ran out of juice! Will do this from now on!4 -
May 16 - Drew & Painted 23 minutes!!!!! Off to do more! Finally, I did it!

Set a date with an old friend (who lives out of town) to get together and I’ll stay at her place. We are both so busy with our families that we usually come last, so this is amazing for both of us! I can’t wait!4

Got a mani and pedi. But the place had on the news and it was one disturbing story after another. So, a lady asked them to change it. So, the switched channels to another news show. I take it they don't have cable:) Oh well. I still enjoyed my time.4
