If money was no object

I'm strange, I'm perfectly happy with what I can afford When treats are rare, they are more delicious.1

Berries. When 100 grams of berries can cost as much as 5 dollars, I can't always justify buying them. I would also have tofu more often. I really like it and I could use the protein, but it's hard to find and very expensive here (about 7 dollars for a 75 gram block).1

Any food that has to be shipped onto this gods-forsaken rock.
I will trade fresh lobster for fresh fruit.1 -
A PERSONAL CHEF0
-
A lot of people went with personal chef! I actually enjoy cooking it is the clean up I hate...
I am adding Hula Daddy Kona Coffee to my list. I got it as a Christmas gift one year. Amazing coffee but expensive! The cheapest one is $30 for a half pound.2 -
Most of the stuff I don't buy due to expense are things I wouldn't be eating any more anyway. And the personal chef would be a mistake for me unless I hired a spa chef. I guess I would go with the fruits that I love but only buy on sale: peaches, plums, cherries. I'd buy a lot more pecans for my oatmeal instead of walnuts or almonds. And I'd buy my pineapple already cut up because it's such a messy job. Finally, I'd buy a soda stream so I could stop feeling guilty about all the sparkling water I drink and the plastic bottles I go through.
I guess I'm just mostly pretty satisfied with how I eat now! But if I could hire someone to clean up , yes, that would be inspiring!
ETA: and I'd eat a lot more Dave's Killer Bread. I love it, but it's almost 7 dollars a loaf and I just can't do it on a regular basis.1 -
Yes to customized kitchen renovation/properly organized pantry/full stock of small quantities of fresh organic spices & lots of professional quality tools/pots/pans, etc. And cooking lessons!! I’d just hire someone to clean up, lol! (I can cook but love learning.)
If it had to be food: wild caught seafood, organic berries (fresh) year-round from my new organic greenhouse (would also hire someone to manage that bc I have a black thumb!), and great dry aged steaks from Texas!2 -
More organic products!3

Morels, very fresh and preferably wild.
They grow wild here for a very short 2 week window in the Spring. (Canadian prairies) Some years they are plentiful, some years not so much. They last time I went picking years ago I got more wood ticks than mushrooms. So I stay away from picking now. But family picks every year so there are always some in the freezer.
I had heard they were an expensive thing overseas. Are they served in restaurants or do you buy them and cook them at home?0 -
I'd love having a farm and greenhouse, and to hire people to run it. I'd also like to have a personal chef and a personal trainer. I want fully renovated kitchen and gym to meet all of my needs.
None of this will ever happen for me LOL - maybe a small garden1 -
Sushi! More fish in general.
But yeah, private chef, lol.0 -
I would move to Italy. Food is so fresh and good.
The Italians taught the French how to cook.1 -

I would so love a greenhouse...
I like to cook, but would like a personal chef who would teach me new techniques. And do the shopping. And cleaning. That last is my OH's request, as he is currently the one doing the washing up
And a personal trainer too!0 -
I'd switch all my animal products to pasture raised, and eat a lot more shellfish. And I'd do all my shopping at Central Market (basically Texas Whole Foods but better).0

Meat. SOOOOOO much meat! Grass fed, free ranged meat that got daily massages and yoga classes and was sung a sweet lullaby before it was dispatched.
And ALL THE SEAFOOD.
And now that it’s come to Canada, (YAY!) a deep freeze just stuffed full of Halo Top.4 -
Pretty much anything at Whole Foods Specifically (WF or elsewhere): Protein bars, powders, and shakes (the good brands), tofu, tons of expensive fresh fruits and veggies, Gardein mock meats (I only get them on sale, which isn't often), dairy free ice cream and yogurts, vegan cheeses (btw, not a vegan but I like to try quirky things and experiment with my diet) and all that fancy schmancy stuff in the organic aisle that I can't justify.0

Ok, someone deleted a post--but I was in 100% agreement. To heck with food--I'd have a personal massage therapist following me around all day. I've said this for decades. My feet hurt ALL THE TIME. I don't wear anything but Berkies and running shoes, and I've never found a running shoe or orthotic that stops my feet from hurting. And getting hips and glutes done daily would be awesome, too. And all the rest of my muscles. Better than any food I know1

If money was not a consideration what is something you would regularly incorporate into your diet? For me it would be mahi mahi and scallops. I love the taste, it is high in protein and low in calories. It is a little too pricey to have daily though!
If money was no object....I would have a CHEF! They also have to clean up after themselves too1 -

Yes, as a Michigander, I'm well aware. That's just not enough of them.1 -
Duck and veal. Duck is the easier of those options but veal is absurdly hard to find here (especially given that lamb is very easy to find...). That said every so often I'll order some from my favorite butcher.0
-
Fresh halibut. Not whitefish or some substitute. Halibut is endangered now, at risk of disappearing. I would have a chief cook and bottle washer. Someone to fold the laundry, do the shopping, change the sheets, warm my towels, rub my feet and fix my hair. But hey, there are people out there who have all of this and they're still struggling with their weight. They've never been able to find weight stability with all of the money in the world. So I just wish for more fishes in the seas. Someday, I'm gonna catch me a big marlin and reel it in.2

move to Hawaii, personal trainer, personal nutritionist who also does all the shopping, cooking and cleaning up0
-
Everything I ate would be grass fed or organic! Also, someone else would prepare it. I HATE cooking and meal prepping. :sad:0

Definitely more fish. And I think I'd try to eat more vegetarian. ( Not vegan because no way could I give up dairy). It's not the cost of eating vegetarian as much as the time involved in learning how to eat vegetarian. So, I guess if money was no object, I could quit my job and dedicate more time in learning how to shop, cook and eat vegetarian.0

Steak and salmon and ribs. I pretty much never eat those things because of the cost. Oh yeah and sushi1
-
Oh God, seafood. Marinated tentacles. Shrimp cocktails. Breaded, fried, fresh seafood galore, with tzatziki and lemon. Salmon and salmon roe. And tuna steak.
Beef, grass-fed, either fresh or salt-cured. Steak tartare at least once a week.
All the Roquefort, matured cheddar, pecorino romano, buffalo mozzarella and goat cheese in the world.
Lindt chocolate, salt, 90 and 99%.
If I were to buy groceries with my taste buds, I'd burn through my salary in less than a week.2
