Your vibe will attract your tribe. Do things that you like. Hey, if it is bowling then join a bowling league. If it is darts and pool, then join that. If you like building model planes, then join that club.
Don't be needy and insecure. Have a sense of humor.....maybe a little bit cocky, but not arrogant.
Don't put the girl that you like on a pedestal. You will be her *kitten* and she will NEVER respect you. If she does not respect you, then you have no chance.
When you do take her out, take her out to the places you like. Do not ask her 1,001 times "Where would you like to go?". You are the man....have a plan. Make sure that no matter where you go that you have been there severeal times before. If the folks there know you and greet you by name that will make her think, "Dude knows some people....that is good!"
Most of all, be you. Have an opinion on things and do not agree with her if you do not agree. Engage in great conversation. Not "OMG, did you see what Kim K was wearing the other day?". You are not her BFF. You want her panties to drop - at some point - avoid that crap. If you stimulate her mind....dude, gonna stop there. I would have to start charging you for more.
