What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

It's not really petty, but I'd really like to lose weight to help overcome my social anxiety.
I live in petrifying fear of doing anything in public that might lead someone to make fun of how fat I am.
It pretty much rules my life. And it sucks, so I'm hoping that by achieving my goal not only will it be a huge feat, but also a stepping stone in overcoming my social anxiety.33 -

My petty reason to lose weight. I want to look good and flaunt it to all those that put me down because of my weight.9

I just scheduled an appointment with a fertility specialist in October (problems with the hubby). I really don't want them to say I have to lose so many pounds before they will help like I have seen happen to many people on Facebook and delay us even more.10

This is your mom acting that way!? I would be so proud and take you shopping.....sheesh....mother love!
Make her eat every foul thought in regards to your weight loss and look FABULOUS every time you see her!
Sorry but she is a horrible woman
It is, I think she's pretty bitter that she's unable to lose weight herself. I've spoken with her many times about various lifestyle choices she could change to improve her well being but she seems to have an excuse for everything. This is the woman who tries to tell me that water makes her sick I have every intention of ensuring I flaunt my weight loss in front of her every chance I get if she decides to keep making those comments.GOT_Obsessed wrote: »To add salt to the wound just Ask her if she wants the clothes that are too big for you now.😂😂😂
That might be the best idea I've heard!!! This is going to happen one day12 -
I just recently completed my associates degree, but in all my grad photos, pro or personal, look like I'm annoyed or in pain, just because of the fat on my face. I want to actually LOOK happy at my bachelor's graduation.
On that note, I'm pretty sure I lost job opportunities when I was interviewing, simply due to my weight. I'm looking forward to looking good and having classy and great looking headshots for my online profiles too.9 -
Because my husband doesn’t think I can stick to anything. He’s in great shape and he’s been shedding pounds and gaining muscle and I’m still a blob over here. I’ve started and stopped a million times, but no more. We’re having a tough time as it is. At least if I get in great shape I’ll look good if he leaves me.28

Also, I want people to say, "No way you've got kids!" Instead of saying, "You look good, for having kids." Huuuge difference in those two phrases.
Lol yes I completely understand also working on being the MILF, but even better if they can't believe I have kids looking as good as I do 👍6 -
My step-daughter is getting married in October. I know my husband's ex has gained weight since their divorce and I want to make sure I look really good in comparison. I won't be to my goal weight by then, but if I stay on the current target, I'll be down 30lbs.17

I just keep coming up with petty reasons so I'll add yet another. I left my marriage back in February after a good few years of emotional abuse and neglect toward both myself and my son. Incidentally, my ex was a gym rat who was constantly obsessed with his appearance and how 'big' he got. He spent more time at the gym working on his bod than he did investing in his family. During that time I gave up on my own appearance because I was so unhappy. I want him to know that I'm healthier - physically, spiritually, emotionally, because he is no longer in my life. I want him to have the reminder every time he sees me that I'm better without him and while his words did damage when we were together, they no longer can or will.23

I was a complete geek at school and the 'popular' girls looked down their noses at me. Now they're all dumpy and boring while I've got a career and on my way to a great bod. I'm still a geek, but a hot geek19
